So as the title says, it's time to spread my wings and fly the beautiful world of manga.  I've been an avid manga reader for a fairly long time now and while I let to think I'm pretty well read I know I'm really not  .

What I want from all you wonderful people is to just tell me your absolute favorite manga, just a few (sorry but I don't want to be bombarded with lists 50+ titles strong.)

DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE GENRE!!!!!

We're branching out, remember?  So just pick those absolute favorite of yours and put 'em below and I'll find out if I'm as well read as I think I am

Alright batoto lets see watcha got!

Well it would be really hard to pick my favourite 5/10 or whatever since there are really a lot and some even though they were great have been forgotten. So all I can try is give you some of the few I still remember where I had an awesome read :) Also since I consider some of my favourite manga at least popular enough for a vivid manga reader to maybe already know them I'll also try to put up some underrated ones that I really like.

Shin Angyo Onshi (Reason: the character is just great and not like those typical Shounen heroes nowadays. Also the story and plot are really developed and interesting. Last, i like manga with kind of anti-hero characters)

Ruler of the Land (Reason: well I think one of the greatest martial arts/comedy/romance manhwa for me)

Maison Ikkoku (Reason: maybe it's not the best but for me my favourite romance manga. It's tagged Seinen and also has a major theme, I'd still settle it somewhere between Shounen/Seinen)

Cross Game (actually I only wanted to put on shounen/romance manga here but I've read a lot of Adachi's works and loved them. So I just had to put my favourite of them there I guess :o)

Gangsta (Mafia/Crime/Seinen with a serious tone and a deaf MC. I also enjoy the fighting scenes a lot and somehow it always makes me curious what will happen next)

Yugami-kun ni wa Tomodachi ga Inai (Shounen/Slice of life/Romance but with a very unusual MC which makes it special to me)

Kanojo ni Naru Hi (Just out of the reason that I would have never considered before this manga to read this kind of romance lol)

Koi to Uso (amazing art and unorthodox story setting. One part of me really likes it and wants to know how it goes on but another wants to stop just out of the reason that there will be huge drama later on)

Beyond Evil (recently picked this one up on Mangabox. Seems promising and has me kept highly interested till now)

Kubera (probably my most favourite web comic right now. The art is maybe not the best compared to others but the storyline and plot definitely make up for it)

So here's like a list of ten. Since my list would probably already look different after tomorrow morning I'll just post it now haha xD It's at least definitely a list with manga that had an impression on me.

I'll take the Josei and slightly more mature Shoujo, since Lestat covered Seinen. Absolute Favourites ☆ Light Reads ○

Ashita no Ousama - Josei, Drama, Romance, Slice of Life
A country girl moves to the city and is invited to see a stage production. She finds herself drawn to the stage. You see her growth portrayed really well here.

Collectors - Josei, Slice of Life, Comedy, Yuri
Two girls in a relationship that disapprove of the other's spending habits. It goes beyond that though, and don't let the Yuri tag deter you. There's as much sexual reference, as you'd get if you had friends who were a couple.

Oishii Kankei - Josei, Comedy, Drama, Romance
A girl who was raised on gourmet food is left in poverty after her father dies. She takes on a job at a small neighbourhood French restaurant, as she dreams of making it big in the culinary world. You see character growth here too.

Pietà - Josei, Psychological, Drama, Shoujo-Ai
A story of two classmates. One is depressed and having family troubles, she finds comfort in her friend. Just... read it please ;-;

☆☆Sakamichi no Apollon (Kids on the Slope) - Drama, Josei, Historical, Slice of Life, School Life, Romance,
A young boy moves from the city into the countryside. He finds it difficult to settle in, but makes friends with the class president, and a resident troublemaker through Jazz. It's set during/after WWII. I love this.

---end josei---

Emma - Historical, Romance, Seinen, Drama, Slice of Life
We follow a girl in Victorian-era England raised out of destitution and poverty to become a proper maid. Eventually finding love. The characters here are all very charming and easily relatable.

☆○Aria - Shounen, Adventure, Comedy, Sci-fi, Slice of Life
A true slice of life manga. Takes place in AQUA, formerly terraformed Mars in a city named Neo-Venzia. We follow a young girl who dreams of becoming a gondolier and we meet all the charming inhabitants of this city. Love love love this.

☆☆☆☆☆7 Seeds - Action, Adventure, Sci-fi, Psychology, Horror, Drama, Josei(???), Mystery
I can't even begin to describe this. It will make you feel the feels. I have cried and laughed and been terrified while reading this manga. Recommend forever. Forever and ever.

7 Days - Drama, Romance, School Life, Slice of Life, Shounen-Ai
Seryou, an immensely popular student, has a habit of going out with anyone who asks him, but dumps them at the end of the week. Shino, a mercurial upperclassman, asks him out on a whim and has a surprising week.

that should be enough? If you're looking for some action as well, I can direct you to some as well.

Wait wait wait. Screw what I wrote above.

My ultimate favourites are different from the above.
So I'll make it short. From the above, 7 seeds, emma.

Not above, Saiyuki, Eyeshield 21. That's it. Everything else I posted is top notch, but these are the ones I read over and over again.

i'm sure you've probably read or at least heard of all the most popular ones, so i won't bother posting those, but i might have some you haven't heard of or thought about reading

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaiji_(manga)--i never thought i would be into a manga about gambling, but this stuff is seriously amazing, i don't think any other manga has ever evoked my emotions like this one does, i feel like i'm living the tense moments right with the protagonist

http://myanimelist.net/manga/13059/Ugly_Duckling_to_Swan--i'm not really into romance, but this little Korean Cinderella story is pretty good, it's about a girl who sets out to get revenge on a guy who bullies her by making him fall in love with her and them dumping him after a little fairy gives her the power to turn into a beauty, the trick is the magic will dispel if she ever kisses him or if rain falls on her

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One-Punch_Man--the story of the worlds strongest hero, he finishes all his fights in one punch!! with the added side-effect of leaving him incredibly jaded, it's actually pretty funny, it's a web series that is slowly being turned into a manga, so you can read the web-toon if you want...the shoddy art adds to the charm of the whole concept

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liar_Game--while waiting for newer Kaiji stuff to come out i had to get my gambling fix from somewhere else, that's when i found out about this gem, it's very similar to one of the Kaiji story arcs, so if you end up liking that you'd most likely be into this

a good mangaka can really make anything interesting to read, sometimes just picking stuff up at random can lead you down the road of addiction, that's how i've mostly found out about the mangas i ended up liking most, just go into a list, click on a title at random and read a chapter or two, you never know what you might end up liking

Firstly, I second this! "Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun"

and these: Vinland Saga, Ruler of the Land, One Punch_Man

Its been a month since this topic started but you said 'keep em coming!' so I have a free pass!

Lets see...

sweet: Love Allergen; Safe Again Today; Samurai Usagi

cute: +Anima and Gakuen Alice

weird but fun: Ludwig Kakumei; Freaks' Squeele,

thoughtful(?): Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou; Suicide Island

and : The Friendly Winter; Sentou Jousai Masurawo; Tetsuichi (>.> no agenda here. Nope.); Kurozakuro; Birdy the Mighty (II); Black Haze; Guardian Dog; Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro; Tower of God (there's a high chance you've already read it, but if you haven't, the art improves)

random: Spoiler Wars[oneshot] ; Amanoiwato Hime (and its sequel) ;

And 7 Seeds !! I recommend this one the most out of the titles I added.

Ajin - dark but good.

Hero Waltz - short, you can read it in 1 day.

Legend of the Sun Knight - if the art style doesn't bother you, it's actually a comedic masterpiece :)

Trace - obligatory mention.

Akatsuki no Yona - says shoujo, but it's not extreme, give it a shot if you have the time :)

And from the mentioned above, Holyland, Ruler of the Land and Kubera are hands down my favourite, you should give them all a read if you haven't already.

Mahou Tsukai no Yome - This is very different than a lot of manga out there right now. Has a fairy tale feel to it. I love it <3

Also, I highly suggest Okoboro Hime to Entaku no Kishi if you aren't adverse to reading a reverse-harem. The heroine is very competent and intelligent, and is chosen as heir to the throne.

Angel Densetsu I'm surprised I didn't see this listed. What may appear simple at first ends up being a classic. Has the highest reread value of every manga I've read.

Let's stick with some basics: Mob Psycho 100  Trace  Kyou kara Ore wa!!   Aiki   Ocha Nigosu and let's end with something with no follows... Full Ahead! Coco

My domain is pretty much all things action, looking for some comedy, we're all branching out yeah?

I suggest you also discover Special Martial Arts Extreme Hell Private High school, it's no longer on batoto...but is good nonetheless. In this link is the opposite of what is asked, and I have a list of pretty much all the action manga I enjoyed compiled by me a year or two ago. Unfortunately most of the webtoons got dropped :(
