Blink, flash, blink flash. Pure white. Aurora woke slowly to the a sweet tenor. That of a young girl, delicate and young. Everything around her was bright and blurry Her mind was similarly caught in fugue, unsure of what was happening.
"Ne, Nee-chan, what are you doing sleeping in the open like this?" asked the girl
"I don't know, seems as good any other though , no?" replied Aurora slightly confused. She was not quite sure of what she was doing in this particular grassy plain. However she was not unhappy. After all it was a good place with warm breeze and sweet sunshine brushing across her body, and soft grass underneath her. It was restful place indeed.
"Ara, I don't seem to know where I am? Do you know?" she asked. However at the same time another thing made itself known, her stomach was rumbling for appeasement

Fashionably late as always!
Well here goes....
At first there was nothing, a silence all consuming. There was no time here, nor was there space.
Still even this nothing could not stay eternal.
A single spark flashed into existence, a single dot in a sea of vast dark nothing.
From it came note, like the first draw of of a violin's bowstring.
It began to dance alone in the dark, in joy. In the joy of being, existing, of being realized.
New notes began to burst from it, forming into song quick and vivacious.
But with being soon came awareness. With awareness came loneliness. With loneliness came fear.
She for the first time saw the dark, became aware of it.
And it aware of her. It sought to extinguish her, it wished return to the perfection of true nothing.
She fought the dark, with her sound, her song, calling forth fire, lightning, wind, ice, and stone. Cutting, burning, freezing, blasting.
But it was for naught, the dark, was an impassable foe, enormous in scale and unknowable in power. It drowned her song, her being in its belly.
Now soon after her awareness she now knew of the concept of end, her end. The spark sputtered, and flickered, slowly returning to nothing.
It is then that it heard the voice, seductive, powerful. And then with a burst of light, the dark receded, almost fearful as steps formed out of nothing and light poured in...

Her you go
Name: Kaldera Thule
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Description: (If you elect not to use an image.)
Personality:
Kaldera is a willful person with a kind of strength of will that comes about rarely. Living in the Gestalt afforded her a kind ruthless practicality if only to be disturbed by an annoying sense of chivalry.
She has somewhat of a fiery temper, which she has learned to control over the years. Apart from that she has a twisted sense of humor which is usually the only thing that gets her into trouble some times.
History:
If asked about her, anyone who know’s Kaledera will reply with something along the lines of “Well that one’s a fighter” and they wouldn’t be too far off from the truth. After all it’s not like everyone can rise above the dirty alleyways of the Gestalt and make a life for themselves.
She was never destined to be nothing more than a pebble, born at bottom rung of society and in one of the worst crime dens in her city Taelos of Azuria, the Gestalt. It was not a good place to grow up, the Gestalt was the end result of having several slums being built on top and then shoving all the peasants and undesirables into the now almost continuous hunk of stone and mortar. Within its arteries, the many narrow alleys, paths and bridges did Kaldera spend her early childhood, sulking about trying not to be noticed by the thugs and criminals that infested them. Even then she had a kind of restlessness, as if she was not satisfied with the cards that were dealt to her, that she did not belong.
Kladera knew she could do better, she knew there was better future for her. She would not end up like her father and brother, eking out an existence selling coal to the neighborhood. To be finally killed when they were caught in between a turf war between gangs.
Unfortunately in the Gestalt there was really only one way to improve one's standard of living and that was to join the gangs. It wasn’t something she was proud of, but ambition drove her to run with the gangs. She ran with them for four years. Although she was often forced into dark situations, Kaldera always made sure to do right by her conscience. It was important that she was always aligned with her pride and honor. In the end that was all she had.
Later in her life, Kaldera was faced with a choice, a turning point in her life , either immerse herself into this world of gangs and crime or find for herself a form of penance. She chose penance, and apprenticed herself her to the man who had convinced her to take that choice. He was a veteran bounty hunter named Frederik Hauss. She joined Frederik in his solitary war against the gangs of the Gestalt. She wasn’t naive, she knew that most probably the both of them would die, the gangs were too big, too powerful. Still sometimes you have to do whats right even if its not what you want to do, it something you have to do. She still had her ambitions to make something of herself, but her conscience wouldn’t allow her to just leave it all behind.
She loved the man, the kind of filial love a daughter has for a father. So when she finally did bury Frederik, she decided to once again follow his words. He had wanted her to leave the Gestalt, to go out in the world and live with pride, to live in the light. He had told her that she would find a home on the Dagger. They were good people he told her.
It was the very next day she set out to find the Dagger. It would take her a few months to track down the ship but eventually she found it and presented herself to the captain, along with a letter of recommendation from Frederik. However she would have start from the bottom, but Kladera was fine with that. The she new how to get out of the bottom, this time she’d do it the right way, Fred’s way.

Sol edged his way through the Sadim bazaar. Pushing his way through the currents of people would not have been such an ordeal. If only crowds did not terrify him as much as they did. They brought about bad memories. However he was forced to deal with his fear out of necessity. He was low in both cola and coin. The first was an immediate danger and a the latter a nagging worry.
Sol was headed for a local pub he knew, his usual cola spot. There was no other reason than habit to prefer this pub over other places to get cola. If there was one thing Sol was creature of habit. As he finally reached the dingy door of the establishment, he wondered if it would have been better to make this trek during the night. It probably would have, but then he supposed he would look more suspicious than he looked now, draped in a tattered cloak. He had made sure to cover up as much possible, the less people knew of his nature the better.
It took some time but he was able to make his way to the ‘The Promiscuous Wench’ without much incident. Inside it was as boisterous and loud as usual, how could it be any other way with drunk sailors. Sol ambled over to the counter trying to be as conspicuous as possible. Then put down a few coins and pushed it forward to the barkeep. “Erm… Three… Three cola’s please” he said. The barkeep merely nodded with and passed him the cola.
As he was on his way out Sol noticed something on the corner of his vision. A woman sitting behind a kind of board. It appeared that she was on the lookout for a crew. Well Sol was not interested in piracy, it drew far too much attention, with that thought he continued out the door. However on the other hand, he was in desperate need of cash. Indeed, he was sure that pirates had a lot of cash, he had seen them spend it like crazy. He also liked the fact that they kept on moving on from place to place, that was good thing. He had learned that it was never a good thing to stay in the same place. Now it looked like it was not so bad a thing this piracy business. Now all he had to do was get his wits together and actually talk to the woman, which was hard enough as it is.
So Sol trudged over to the group of loud people now haranguing the woman. “Ah, I…. would like to become a pirate.. As… well” he said, relatively quietly.

Zambo jumped back and away from the slime as it began to swell. Sensing that the battle was over, He rested on his hands on his knees, huffing and puffing as he caught his breath. Well there it was his first kill, he was now officially an adventurer.
“Huh, well now… that was easier than expected...Guess Adventurin ain’t hard at all ya know! Come on Svend lets gooo! There’s more stuff to hunt ya know” he said.
Zambo leisurely made his way back to his usual nesting spot, Svend’s shoulders. Making himself comfortable he urged the giant onwards to adventure
