For people who cross reference romaji is good. English names vary because of translation and makes it very hard to find what you are looking for.

batoto could have had a double entry for main title. Eng & Jpn. They do that on AniDB. Even then there is never really a official english title that be relied on. That's because even if there is an official english release the titles may not be updated to that name on reference and other sites. So then you are stuck with different english translations of a Japanese title.

You'll see in my sig below, I've made a huge list of Isekai titles. English names used on batoto wasted a lot of time referencing between baka updates and batoto.

 

Some people don't see/experience this as a problem and use the english title. If they did this on baka-updates the site would be very annoying and not really worth using unless there was no other choice.

 

Best solution is romaji. Then dual entry. Then selectable dual entry for those that don't care about maybe not finding a manga because of eng translation variations.

 

It has not been done the same way for decades without reason. Some people don't realise this and use english names. Some realise this and change the name back to romaji.

 

For accuracy romaji is the only way.

 

I've not found titles on batoto because eng name was used. Same with a few others sites. I don't use them unless I have to.

I went through everything from here to page 47 fixing what everything that needed fixing and wasn't fixed already or was missed.

Stopped at page 47 because I was running into less and less unresolved sort order issues and figured it was a good stopping point.

I have quoted all the sort changes that I made above along with comments and details. I've pm'd the uploaders about the issues when i deemed it nessesary.

 

I would like to note that personally pm'ing uploaders about recent issues is a valid method of getting these issues resolved more quickly as well when mods aren't free. Please be polite!

The chapter uploader also has the ability to edit the sort order. Again, be polite when contacting them.

 

On a general note, you can continue to report issues here and or post something in the support channel in Batoto Discord server where I frequent.

Feel free to ask me any questions or pm me for any other issues too.

A certain divisive event happens much much later in the story. An event we won't see in the manga for years and someone decided to vent about it on the Comments page and its set off a storm of un-spoilered replies to those events which are frankly spoilers as well... more than enough to piece together what they're alluding to and lead peoples minds. I don't think its appropriate, especially in the main Comments, for people to do stuff like that. Let people enjoy the journey without putting your two cents in with novel spoilers from a dozen novels later. Its seriously rude, immature, and uncalled for.

 

IMHO even if I don't like the ending to every series I've watched or read, I don't let that affect the enjoyment I had reading it to that point. Don't take that joy away from others. Let them read and form their own opinions.

Open the link in the OP post. THAT IS NOT A CREDIT PAGE. That is an actual page in the middle of the chapter that was plastered over for the sake of trolling. An entire page, not forgotten, not mistranslated or forgotten to clean - no, just completely plastered over for nothing but trolling. On the next 3 pages, there has been partial censoring of text and pictures for the same reason. "He did translate all the words" - yeah right, and I'm the queen of Britain.

 

Edit: Plus the link provided on the page links to a different scanlation group which also works on Grand Blue, clearly in an attempt to discredit them by making it look as if they were the culprits behind this troll chapter. In my book, that weighs even more heavily than the infantile trolling or the bad translation quality even on the parts where he does not troll. At the very least have the decency to protect your other contributors, even if you piss on the readers like this.

They aren't actually asking for money. The link brings you to a different scanlation group's page, which seems to also have started working on Grand Blue. SubbyD is being "funny" again, as he has already been on the last chapter, although it was to a lesser, less scummy amount the last time. About as funny as a person with the sense of humour of a 9 year old can be.

 

Apart from disliking his alterations and additions to the works of the mangakas, I think it's a scummy move towards the scanlation group of FA who probably have nothing to do with SubbyD's trolling. Dragging them into this is a no-go.

 

Thus I'd ask the mods to shoot down the troll chapter. It's not the 1st of April.

It's a troll scanlation. I'm still surprised at the amount of people who don't realize this.

So I've been posting bits and pieces on the twitter and twitter is just so darn short...
 
Batoto runs on number of servers and there's one main server that's at the helm of all other servers. It controls what processing goes where, balances the load and handles certain key features including uploads.
 
I may be over personifying, but every computer/server has a personality. And you tend to see it more when you push it to the max. This main server has been finicky for quite some time. Sometimes it doesn't boot up right... Sometimes when it's pushed to extremes, it just starts being an ass. It's always made my maintenance longer than expected and a large reason to a huge chunk of downtime in percentage. 
 
Like the last tweet on May 17th (part1 part2) was about this server too. Whether it was intentional DDoS or a swarm of haywire bots (they happen surprisingly often... *cough* baidu *cough*), I didn't bother to investigate, but that ignited the jerkwad mode and the precipice of downtime. About 70%+ of my time sink and downtime was due to that. Historically, that wasn't even the worst event, but I don't intend to start another story time. Generally, after much effort, it goes back to being normal.
 
Today though... It just went poof. With no visible cause. Rather, it was it going poof that made me think it was having abnormal traffic as the outflow was off because it wasn't juggling the load properly.
 
It's still running. And throwing no errors. No error logs relating to hardware. Temperatures fine. etc. Everything says it's fine. But it's running at like 1/10th of the speed. And no matter how much I try to console it, doesn't seem to change.
 
So, I took the last resort and signed a new server entirely. Hooked everything up. And this is how performance has been restored now. (Would appreciate some donations. Actually not behind much since I'll be cancelling the previous later and I stick with monthly contracts.)
 
The main server is doing very little right now and adding even a tiny bit more would make it cry again.
 
The new server still needs to be handed over more of less demanding but still numerous tasks including handling of uploads (which is next in priority) (upload now complete). Once all of that is done, it will be the new main server. Do expect some minor down times as I still progress with this. But we should generally be online without super lag we've been seeing all day.

Personally I'd like to see a "Transgender" tag. In my opinion using the "Gender Bender" tag for that is rather incorrect and could easily be taken offensively.

 

Anybody thin-skinned enough to be offended by that deserves to be offended.  Japanese manga comes from a different culture that does not suffer from that damnable disease of "Political Correctness" and we should not try to infect this site with that vile disease.

"Don't be snarky..." he says, being all snarky and condescending. There's a lot of censorship going on way outside of DMCA stuff, fairly hypocritical at that. The whole attempt at making people who'd like to get a notification about this happening so they know it happened when they primarly use this side for reading as "entitled" and "childish" borders on fanboying. That it keeps coming up just shows that it's a concern to quite a few people, who unless they go out of their way to check all their followed series manually for updates have no way of knowing a series got removed from the side.

Eliminating embedding of vids/images there completely would also be a good solution imo. A lot of people seem too lazy/stupid/oblivious to pay attention to filesizes of stuff they embed (and with imgur changing to converting bigger gifs into videos but giving embedding links for extra-large gifs still, encountering a very heavy gif became more common), and video embeds are a pain in general outside of threads in which they are expected.

I have read and understood the rules regarding the use of the forum and the website. I am also familiar with the uploading process.

 

It's just me right now and honestly, I didn't even know I had a group page on this site until only recently. I guess it's automatic? So I have my own page here so that's pretty nice.

They won't. And besides, batoto is a poor source for your backlog. Many series are missing due to DMCA, scanlators wish or some retarded political correctness. There are far better places if you want to download stuff.
