Yan Xin
“Ooh!” Xin felt a bump from behind which made his noodle soup almost spill. Looking back, he found that it was the drunkard monk he saw a while ago. The monk smiled to him and said,
“Sorry ‘bout that! Here, have a drink on me.” And he left a few coins on the table.
Xin looked at the coins with a dumbfounded look, and thought, why? He didn’t quite understand the monk ways that much so this action could be a monk’s way of apologizing. Maybe this monk is a generous person? Or maybe he is just too drunk and wasting his money away? He had no idea. Since the monk left him with no time to respond, he just took the coins and put them in his pouch. He had to travel all of Xue so he needed to save anything he could, including finance.
But he also felt a bit guilty to accept as it was so he made up his mind that he would go and say thanks to the monk after he finished his noodle soup. He grabbed a pair of chopstick, blew on the noodle soup to cool down a bit and started eating a mouthful of delicious noodle. He ordered another bowl while doing so.
Because he was so focused on finishing the noodle, he didn’t quite notice the tense situation inside the inn. As he finished his first bowl and moved to eat second one, he noticed that one angry-looking farmer was bringing a guard and lead him to one of the private drinking areas. As he knew something was going on, he hurried his noodle-eating and planned to leave the inn. He didn’t like pointless fights after all.
The said guard dragged the drunkard monk form inside the private area and started a fight. The monk tried to fight back but too much of alcohol intake held him back and he was missing all his blows. Xin was so fixated on finishing his noodle and leaving the inn that he failed to notice that the monk was just behind him when he took one “unlucky” punch from the guard. The second bump from the monk was much violent than the first and made all the noodle spilled on Xin’s face and clothes. Under normal circumstances, he would just retreat with a smile to avoid being dragged into a fight. But it was different this time. First, the victim was a monk. His father taught him to treat monks with respects which he intended to do so. Second, the monk was drunk. Although it was his fault for drinking that much so early in the morning, not to mention being a disciple of Buddha, the guard and the farmer were picking a fight with someone who can’t fight back properly. In his opinion, it was something a coward would do. Lastly, the monk just gave him a few coins a while ago. The amount was not much but still, he was indebted to him. He would become an ungrateful person if he couldn’t help someone who helped him before was in need of his help.
In addition, the monk said “You know… if you help me out, I’ll make sure you’ll be reincarnated into the most beautiful girl in the world” while leaning on him.
“But today is a bad day to die. What do you say, friend?” the monk continued.
Xin stood up from the table, rubbed the noodle off his face and turned to face two men.
“It is a cowardly act to pick on someone who can’t fight back properly, isn’t it?” He said, while releasing a small amount of inner Ki and balancing his center of gravity.

Hrm. Okay, Shiro? Your post was pretty good, but there is one thing I have to say something about. I'm a guy who will never say flow ain't important, but in the future I would appreciate it if you'd ask before having my character do or say something in your posts. I'll let it slide this time because you really didn't do anything big or horribly indicative, but next time just put something here in the OOC or send me a message about it, alright?
Edit: Speaking of which, I've posted. Criticism is welcomed, it's been a bit of time.
ok, Dice. I'll be sure to tell you next time. sorry if I offended you.

~The Easygoing Inventor~
Name: Alexander Lidvia
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Parents: Arwin & Sasha Lidvia
Crusader Relationship: None
History
Alex was born in a remote village on the border of Empyria, surrounded by forest. His childhood was a happy one. His father was a hunter and an alchemist, earning the respects of the villagers by protecting the village from monsters and on some occasions, bandits, with his top notch archery skills. Even if their village was dangerous compare to others, the villagers can live peacefully due to his father. Alex admired his father and aiming to be a great man like him. His mother was a former scholar from the capital. She taught her only son and the villagers’ children History, Culture, Economy and other things.
Arwin taught Alex both hunting and alchemy since he was young. Alex showed particular talents in alchemy, creating and experimenting various kinds of things in his father workshop whenever he was free. But his archery skill was not very great. His swiftness was remarkable but accuracy was nowhere near good enough.
At the age of 15, a magician from a neighboring country came and settled in his village. As Alex was a happy-go-lucky young boy, he befriended with the magician in no time and started learning magic from him. Alex found himself that casting fire spells was a lot easier than other elements ones. One year later, he was able to imbue his arrows with simple fire spell and could fire flaming arrows. But something bothered him: was it all he could do? His accuracy in archery was not improved significantly over a year. “Even if I could fire flame arrows, what good would there be if they couldn’t hit the target?” he thought. Feeling down, he went to the workshop and started mixing a few things without any particular aim in mind. Call it luck or fate, one of the mixtures exploded when accidently met with a spark from the fire place.
Surprised, he studied deeper into that mixture and found that he can boost his spells by combining them with that particular mixture which he named “gun powder”. While further improving the formula, he found a number of different usages. He invented bomb: shell to contain the gun powder and detonate them at will with his spell. He attached some of the bombs to the arrows and created explosive arrows. Although his master, the magician, and his mother, encouraged Alex with his experiments, his father, didn't like it much. Arwin’s wish was that Alex would stop with the experiment which might or might not succeed and train with him to become a protector of the village just like him.
Shortly after his discovery of gun powder, a young arm dealer named Hadrian came to his village to sell weapons to the villagers to to defend against bandits and monsters. As both of them are young inventors, they became friends in no time and tested many experiments about gun powder together. And Alex taught Hadrian how to make gun powder and bombs.
After Hadrian left, Alex perfected the formula of the gun powder and invented various kinds of bombs: explosive, smoke, shrapnel, over the course of three years. When he heard about the news of the Third Crusade, he got an idea that he would present his inventions to the prince. Hoping that his inventions would bring prosperity to his remote village and he could become a man far greater than his father ever was. And of course to meet with his fellow inventor, Hadrian. With that in mind, he set out to the capital after paying respects to his parents and master.
Specialty
Bomb crafting: a unique skill that only he and Hadrian could do. His bombs don’t have any trigger for he would blow them up with his spells.
Skills
Trap setting: by combining his father skills of laying traps with his bombs, he was able to set traps of massive destruction. Tested numerous times with monsters.
Archery: while his accuracy may be poor, his speed is remarkable. Who would need accuracy when he can bombard a place with flurry of explosive arrows?
Fire magic: though Alex mostly used his magic with bombs, he could also use it alone. He still hadn’t try other elements because he was so obsessed with his bombs.
Tracking: he could track monsters easily due to his hunting days.
Hand-to-hand combat: his father taught him years ago but never practiced regularly. Still, he could fend off a thug or two.
Equipments
Backpack: filled with all the tools he need to craft bombs, mix gun powder, set up traps, as well as some rations and a bed sheet.
Utility belt: have many bags to hold bombs, money and a dagger which is mainly used as a tool rather than a weapon.
Maria: a bow gave by his father when Alex was 10 years old. It is not wrong to that it is his most valued treasure. It came with a quiver that holds 20 or so arrows. Some of them are explosive.
Magic tomes: gave by his master as present when he left the village. He read them every night before he sleeps.
Character relationships
Close friend with Hadrian: taught how to make gun powder and bombs when Hadrian was in Alexander's village. The only difference is that Hadrian's bombs are ignite by his rings when Alex's are ignite with spell
