The Xu Dynasty
The Xu Dynasty is most known for the unification of Xue. They began as the rulers of a small state
and continued to gain territory by absorbing the other states around them. They continued this
until they became the strongest state and dynasty in Xue. With the largest amount of land and the
very talented generals in their military, they began a great conquest to unify the lands.
Xue had a very long period of peace while the Xu Dynasty ruled as the Imperial family. The lands
prospered and people quickly gave support to their the Emperor of each generation. Those who
opposed the Xu Dynasty almost always failed or ended up dead. Sometimes the people or officials
themselves would be the ones to do this. It wasn't until the Sun Dynasty usurped the throne in
a cunning and quick attack on the palace, that a group had managed to defeat the Xu Dynasty.
A point of interest is the sword style that the Xu Dynasty's first Emperor used during the Warring
States Era. It is said that a master of this is unbeatable in combat. The reason this rumor was
spread is because of the rich history of generals in the family. One of the factors that played a
large role in the unification of Xue were the Three Great Generals. Each of whom was a member
of the Xu Dynasty.

The Sun Dynasty
Since long ago the Sun Dynasty has never received vast amounts of attention from their peers.
They were a simple ruling family during the Warring States Era who didn't even have a vast
amount of land. The only reason they survived into the unification of Xue was because they
plead loyalty to the Xu Dynasty. The result of this action was a close relationship to the
Xu Dynasty even after Xue was united.
As the sister dynasty to Xu, the Sun were always serving and never leading. Because of the
influence within the court, the Sun Dynasty rose up to the second strongest faction in the
political world of Xue since the unification. With this power they gathered allies and their thirst
for power grew further. They finally acted on this thirst when they assaulted the palace in Ying
and took the throne. Sadly, Xu Ren escaped their grasp with the Imperial Seal. Now they
rule a country whose support lies with their most feared enemy.
It should be mentioned that the Sun Dynasty isn't known for their military prowess, but they
did adapt the Xu Dynasty sword style to the spear. It isn't a very well known style, but the
few who know of it are either dead or lost a battle against it. Their strength lies in politics rather
than war.

The Guan Dynasty
The Guan Dynasty was incredibly large during the Warring States Era, but they quickly became
weak once the Xu Dynasty began their conquest. The reason they became so weak at the
time was because of their philosophy. Rather than being a traditional dynasty of rulers or nobles,
the Guan Dynasty was more akin to a martial arts school. They would strive to be the strongest
in Xue. When the Xu Dynasty took over, the Guan Dynasty split. Half followed Xu and the
other half fought for themselves. The side opposing Xu was nearly wiped out, but were
spared due to the wishes of the Guan Dynasty members that sided with them. Since then
the Guan Dynasty has been split into a Head Branch and a Lower Branch.
Once the unification was complete, the Guan Dynasty went back to how things were before.
They continually strove to create the strongest warriors. When relations with Arda improved
and Xue was introduced to firearms, the Guan Dynasty decided that these new weapons
were the key to creating the "strongest warrior".
This dynasty is known for its hand-to-hand combat and weapon making. Currently the
Emperor is trying to employ them into his own army so that he can see for himself
the power of the martial arts that incorporates firearms.

Dynasty Heir: Guan Ju
The Fei Dynasty
During the conquest of Xue, the Fei Dynasty was one of the few to actually fight back directly
against the much larger Xu Dynasty. In military strength they were equal with the Xu Dynasty
for a time, but they were defeated when the war began to drag out. Their enemy had the
resources to keep their soldiers replaced and healthy. Since the Fei Dynasty relied on just
their military, they were eventually defeated through their weak economy. The Fei Dynasty
ended up surrendering at the end of the war and the Xu Dynasty spared several of their members.
Those that surrendered to the Xu Dynasty were able to keep their land and titles, as well as gain
a rank or two in nobility. This is what made them stay as one of the Five Great Dynasties to today.
The Fei Dynasty has plenty of generals in the Xue military and have since remained loyal to Xue.
The generals from the Fei Dynasty are most known for their unpredictability and variety of tactics
employed. Supposedly, the two most revered generals in the Xue military right now are from
the Fei Dynasty. One is an offensive genius and the other has legendary defensive strategies.

Dynasty Heir: Fei Dao
The Suo Dynasty
The Suo Dynasty came to power near the end of the Warring States Era. As the Xu Dynasty was
slowly taking more and more land, the Suo Dynasty did the only thing they could. They minimized
the damage. They weren't the rulers of this state, but instead made a rebellion from within. When
the Xu finally reached them, they welcomed them with open arms. The situation was explained
and the Xu Dynasty left them to keep their positions.
This dynasty is made up of scholars and skilled workers. Their place in Xue is as diplomats,
strategists, and officials. The Suo Dynasty values intelligence above all and are almost
always those chosen as teachers for the Imperial family. Out of all the Dynasties, the Suo
Dynasty is the only one who still completely is loyal to the Xu. The reason for this is the close relationship
the two shared. The Suo Dynasty's head was almost always chosen as the Head Chancellor
of the Empire.
A special trait among the Suo Dynasty isn't just their intelligence, but their power to notice
lies and deceit. There hasn't been a simple explanation for this by the Suo Dynasty. Rumor
has it that each child that shows promise is put through intense training and study. The training
is so hard that only one out of twenty actually make it through. This, of course, is only a rumor.
