In Topic: Reader Broken?

I found this to be an issue with every series I attempted to read. The following four series were my testers:

Tomo-chan wa Onna no ko
http://vatoto.com/comic/_/comics/tomo-chan-wa-onna-no-ko-r15722

Magi
http://vatoto.com/comic/_/comics/tomo-chan-wa-onna-no-ko-r15722

Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san
http://vatoto.com/comic/_/comics/yuragi-sou-no-yuuna-san-r18258

Clockwork Planet
http://vatoto.com/comic/_/comics/clockwork-planet-r10818

On retest, I found that Magi loaded, while the other three still do not.

Lordy, I'm not sure whether to be surprised this hasn't died yet or that we're only 60k posts in.
Wonder where the hell I first joined in all those years ago.

In Topic: Batoto becoming registered only?

22 October 2015 - 04:55 PM

As much as this change is saddening to me, I think it will be a good one for the site as a whole. I greatly enjoyed being a lurker and scrolling through Batoto without a user account, but I found it very easy to transition over to being an official member. I was willing to accept holding a cookie for this site to keep me permanently logged on here, and I have yet to regret that decision.

For any venture, online or off, it isn't feasible for a company to survive indefinitely in the red, especially when dozens of other companies are making a profit off of their work.

If turning the site private makes things easier for the moderators, administrators, and contributors, it's more than enough reason for me to support it. This place has been a home to me for 5 years now, and I want to see it keep going on in the future.

Grumpy, thanks for keeping us updated and wading through fields of questions and complaints to talk with us about this huge potential change. And thank you for working to keep the site we know and love running, from over half a decade ago to today.
