another excellent poem. I like how this one not only sounds so deep and meaningful but it also is written artistically. This one would still be awesome if you were listening to someone read it, but it is made even better by the way the words form on the page to seem to fit the feelings that are portrayed in that line.

thank you! i try to write based on how i feel, and experiences too. i find that writing based on something we've truly felt is more fluid than something forced. i'm glad you like it

As each tear drop falls down my eyes

This morning I tried to make zongzi (粽子) with my mom. I've never made it before (well, I can't cook so I've never made anything before lol), but man this was hard as hell. It's basically sticky rice wrapped in bamboo leaves. It's hella good.

When I was a kid, I'd visit my grandma in NYC all the time and there was this lady in chinatown who illegally peddled zongzi on the streets to support her family. I think she must be like a zongzi god or some shit because she's CRAZY good at making them. Like, nobody in my family would bother ordering zongzi at a restaurant because hers tasted wayyyyy better than the joints we visited. Every time we bought some off of her, I'd think to myself "YEAH, WELL, ONE DAY I'M GOING TO BE A ZONGZI GOD TOO AND I'LL PUT HER OUTTA BUSINESS" (lol I know, I was an asshole as a kid).

So fast forward to this morning and I'm like 100% sure I'll never be able to put that lady out of business. My mom was so fed up with me she told me:
"OMMGGGGGGG KANNADE IF YOU RIP ANOTHER BAMBOO LEAF I'M GOING TO BEAT YOU. JUST GET OUT."

Man, all my childhood dreams are crushed, I'm TERRIBAD at making zongzi.

hope it gets even better tomorrow~

for me, ate at din tai fung today, crazy 1 hour wait.

while waiting we played at this game place, my friend and i played some basketball shooting game and punch for power thingy. i punched as hard as i could but ended up with half my friends' points WTF. turned out i punched the wrong side of the thingy V_V

the food was great tho, in the end.

after that we went for some shopping in downtown (not me tho) my friend got a gucci belt oh wow
