There's this song by Kaito Uninstall that I can't get out of my head anymore.

First time I heard a Vocaloid song I didn't like it.  Sounded so fake and electronic, not to mention chaotic.  Now?  I like them. 

 

Favorite is IA.  Don't care much for Miku, though her append versions are nice.  Also, Nico Nico Chorus~

 

I really got into it when I started following Kagerou Project.  Other songs I like are "From Y to Y" and "Houkago Stride".

About that, I don't listen to that much Vocaloid songs now, but I thought about something once; I thought that there was two types of Vocaloid songs : those that try their best to make it sound the more human possible, and those that accept their "electronic heritage" and play with it.

 

I may be really wrong though, but it's just a thought I had, don't lynch me >.>

I mean when it comes to music, the type of voice/sound the composer chooses to use depends on what they're going for.  So yeah, sometimes the composer may want an electronic feel, some a more realistic sound.  It's like any other type of music - could be sad, happy, angry, loud, soft - just depends.  An electronic feel may better convey certain emotions, likewise with a realistic voice. 

 

Or maybe some composers just like playing with only electronic or only human voices.  All up to the composer.  Haha.

Both genres are good. Electronic types are best for fast paced songs, IMO. For the others, i prefer as realistic as possible.

It's kinda weird to listen Miku sing about Lancelot in an electronic voice.

 

And they have been getting better day by day. Though recently I find myself listening to the Eng Dubs like Ashe and Joy more than the vocaloids themselves.

Yup, for the most part.

Can't bring myself to listen to dubs. Though I do like other singers that cover Vocaloid songs.

Yeah there are some songs that I dont like because they sound too artificial.

Like you said, it depends on the song and how its made, but putting atleast some effort in making it sound a bit human makes it lot better.

 

Well, here is another new song with a nice video. The vocals are little bit wierd at the start though~ ^^

Usually, I really hate it when they switch the vocaloid, but not the vocal settings for it. Just changing one voice for the other makes things sound  Horrible...
