Overlord is fairly similar plot wise, game ending, person sent to new world instead of logging out, etc, great LN, adaption is good so far.
A few other titles with a similar feel (these are all mainly new world/new life plot style):
Gate - Thus the JSDF Fought There!

Thank you very much for the Overlord suggestion. I thoroughly enjoyed it and now I'm suffering from withdrawal. Is there anymore series you would recommend with the same genre? Thanks in advance

as far as manga goes? the re-incarnation/other world genre is slightly limited, if you were willing to branch in to web novels/light novels, I would strongly recommend Arifureta, it's one of my favorite series of all times in this genre. There's also Master of Monster as well as Douluo Dalu, both are amazing series.

The series already stated, (BTW, thanks for Tsuyokute New Saga and Re:Monster those where new to me) but I can add a few more that are encroaching on this idea in various ways.
First one that comes to mind is the crossing from one fantasy world to another so:
Id - The Greatest Fusion Fantasy
and:
Doulou Dalu
Then there are the ones from a more traditional "real" world:
Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari
Mushoku Tensei ~Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu~
and then same idea but without the action and a lighter overall feel, at least so far.
E? Heibon Desu yo??
and if you want something similar but in a sci-fi setting instead this is proving interesting:
I, Female Robot
Finally if you just want the VR world and are ok with it being not an exclusive thing characters are stuck in all the time there are a lot of series out there. Some of which I remember but can't recall the exact names of off the top of my head, but what I can think of is:
1/2 Prince
Yureka
Zhan Long
The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor
And these have manga adaptions, but I would personally suggest the anime's for them instead
Sword Art Online
Hagure Yuusha no Estetica
Zero no Tsukaima

Yes, Konjiki no Wordmaster is also a good fit.
Since it doesn't seem to be here, I'll also add Spirit Migration. It has an interesting twist...

So many that it isnĀ“t even funny anymore. Hope this trend dies down and we can get something more original instead. This reincanation/trapped-in-mmorpg-game-world have been beaten to death, become a corpse, festering and making the air foul.

There are thousands of manga out there about many, many different things. Are you going to run out of content just because of a few dozens of manga with relatively similar plot?

Not to mention each one of these have their unique points. Hech each arc of SAO was completely different (first arc was escape from death game second arc was find the princess and rescue from evil vizier third arc was a tournament/investigation similar to Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon fourth arc was a collection of small stories about MC's). Just because they have a VRMMO as their environment does not make them same otherwise we shouldn't have any fantasy manga or sci-fi manga that is in space or heck we shouldn't have any new Gundam anime (on a fai point most Gundam anime shares similarities even in their story and yet each one has their own fan base as well as people who just love all of them) at all.
On topic: I suggest watching Log Horizon's anime since i am not sure if its manga scanlated yet or even made any real progress. It is closer to New Gate but insteand of just MC all of the players got stuck in game worl with no real death (resurrection still happens)

Thanks for all the reccomendations.
And i agree, this genre is relatively new and hasn't got a lot of them to be honest. Wheras if you compare to the generic romance / shounen etc manga, theres shit tons.

The trend didnt died after 20 years, why should it now?
If anything blame the creator of those manga for drawing duplicate plots like this's & overlord's, Slime & Re:monster ...etc

funny how nobody mentioned the entire .Hack (dot hack) series
I dunno, maybe it's cause these people don't remember any far back than the last 5-6 years lols.
In any case, I cant really say it's what he's looking for, no one's really trapped in a VRMMO, or another world aside from Tsukasa, and even then it's quite apparently that there's really nothing much going on till the end. It's more a http://krytykal.org/only-sense/Only Sense Online vibe than any of the aforementioned.

well its not exacly a manga with reincarnation or rpg in mind but "summoning to another world" kinda fun imo
Moon-led Journey Across Another World
