What people "would do" in a given situation and what is "good" are not always the same thing.
"Good" and "Evil" are possibly very muddled; in part because the same action may very well be "Good" in one situation and "Evil" in antoher... and it doesn't help when one tries to consider the wide variance in what a given individual considers to be "Good" and "Evil."
Though I think it's generally more that a series of actions will almost always have both "Good" and "Evil" in them.
For me, the naivety of arguments that "The Ends Justify The Means" is the foolish belief that if you do enough "good" by the end of it, it counteracts the "evil" done. When, I think, they simply continue to be present irrespective of each other. Likewise large amounts of "evil" doesn't counteract a smaller amount of "good."
Just my thoughts though. I could be wrong.
Just started reading the series. Clumzy and poorly paced, but somehow hits funny. Can I hope for it to get better with time?
Yes, it would be an evil act and the result cannot be considered "good" either. Even if you save 10 people, you still intentionally killed an innocent one, which is generally considered evil. The act of saving some people does not negate the evil of killing innocents on purpose. This is what I meant by a result being good for some people but not others. The example you gave supports my argument.
To make it clearer, your example is actually 2 actions, not one. The first is the act of killing an innocent, the second is the act of saving 10 people. Most would agree the first act is evil and the second is good.
That last page was something I don't remember, is this a sign of the LN diverging from the WN or an extra arc?
PLEASE DELETE
Edit: This comment got bugged, I edited the text but it became a double post instead

that doesn't sound like the series is going for a funny ride :/ ...well bitchbiki sounds more interesting
With how the latest is going. Makoto is going to accept someone soon
Between chapter 43 and 44. This current chapter wasn't mentioned in the LN, so you have to make due with that
Here you go: https://isekailunatic.wordpress.com/tsuki-ga-michibiku-isekai-douchuu/
This is the most official guy that translates the LN
And so, a chance for Tomoe and Mio to go on a rampage.....averted
... okay can someone spoil me how the other Heroes got their ... unique Title from you guys? Curiosity is killing me.
seems to me like a grey line of thought. someting like...Neutral Chaotic alignment? yes.
it also depends where it happened, in a part of the world without near autorithies to act instantly or to actually enforce the law that event could be even respected in their society (the place where 1 was killed to save 10).
The WN is still ongoing in COO and the translated WN is caught up to it.
That depends, would those people definetly have died if he didn't? Could the organs have been acquired another way? You'd be surprised how many people have a utilitarian view on morality when you get down to it. It would definetly be evil in real life because there would be other options to pursue, but in a hypothetical world where it can be as simple as, would you kill one person to save 10, a lot of people will kill that one person.
I work in Legal Aid in my country and I can tell you I would love to live in the black and white world where you must live in.
I've re-read it a couple of times and I'm not sure Rembrandt did anything wrong at all. My impression is that it was all Morris. The old "loyal subordinate doing the dirty work he knows the master would never approve of" kinda cliche. Then again, we only had 1 chapter of flashback and it felt kinda rushed. So maybe I'm just trying to see too much into that.
No light novel English release I think, but Reigokai translate the web novel one, check novel update if you like, the translated WN is in last arc, so it's way ahead of the manga. The WN itself is completed in country of origin.
