You won't be dealing with the system unless you want to duel someone.

 

Duels are all personal stuff, sometimes the option to duel a boss appears (and if you choose to duel, I expect you to have as much time as possible so that it doesn't take long).

 

Otherwise you really just have to worry about stats reflecting your character and your artes list, the latter should be relatively fun making.

Style Name: Oborosen no Zantsurugi (Decapitating Blade of a Thousand Mists)

Style Description: A style that excels in a relentless assault, and gives the user access to various artes covering all ranges, with an especially deadly arsenal of mid and close range moves, and scarce few long range. The style gathers up Mist Counters, up to five and allow him to use any Arte that costs TP, otherwise without a Mist Counter, he cannot use TP Artes. On the other hand, he can spend multiple Mist Counters to use multiple artes in a single post. Mist Counters are gained through using evasive moves, all of which have 0 TP cost, and he can only use Artes that have 1 or more cost by first landing a Draw Arte (also 0 TP cost) and then immediately following it with the rest of his Artes. Artes that cost TP are called Blade Artes, and ones that do not are either Draw Artes for initiating Blade Artes, and Reaper Step Artes. There is only one exception with Draw Artes, and that is the "Tsujigiri" Arte, which does nothing, costs 1 TP, but because it is a Draw Arte, it allows him to use Blade Artes on that post. The move itself is instant so there is no pause to take into account when he uses it.

• Thousand Mists: During Overlimit, each Mist Counter is worth twice as much, allowing him to use two artes per Mist Counter, rather than one for one. However this forces him to use Artes in even numbers, with a maximum of 6, meaning he can only use 2, 4 or 6 Artes in a single post not including the initial Draw Arte.

Tsujigiri[S][1TP]: Does nothing, essentially allows Rastia to use Blade Artes without needing to land a Draw Arte.

Strike [A][0TP]: A simple horizontal draw slash.

Debilitating Mist [A][0TP]: A short and incredibly fast dash that strikes the target with the butt of the sword while it is still sheathed.

Gush Stroke [A][0TP]: Dash sideways of the opponent while drawing the blade and striking with a wave of energy to follow it.

Dragon Charge [A][0TP]: Dashes through the opponent with a series of slashes.

Demon Fist [A][0TP]: Punch ground to shoot a small shockwave with unlimited range. Moderate speed.

Guardian Field [S][1TP]: Create a healing circle that heals allies and himself by 10%. It will also deal weak damage to the opponent.

 

Reaper Step Artes

 Note: Successful Reaper Step Artes will reward him with Mist Counters. He must have evaded something with them in order to use them.

Reaper Sprint [P][0TP]: Allows the user to dash with immense speed towards the target, but only towards the target.

Phantom Feint [S][0TP]: Dash backwards a short distance while leaving an after-image. If the opponent strikes the after-image, Rastia gains one extra Mist Counter.

Scythe Movement [S][0TP]: A circular dash that lets the user circle around the target and end up behind them. The move is best in an open area as it requires there to be less obstructions.

Triple Shadows [S][0TP]: A unique side-step that creates two after-images in three possible positions. Standing still in the center, the left, or the right. Rastia can be at any one of these after-images.

 

Blade Artes

Void Sword [A][1TP]: Slash once to cause the area in front to be covered in spectral slashes for a few moments.

Moonlight Circle [A][1TP]: A spinning slash that creates a luminescent circle like a moon.

Gale Maw [A][1TP]: A dashing stab right through the opponent.

Dragon Swarm [A][1TP]: A series of slashes and kicks that hits many times.

Split Heavens [A][1TP]: A simple jumping uppercut slash.

Tiger Blade [A][1TP]: Slash opponent into the air, strike two times and come down with them as you make a diving slash ending with an additional slash to throw them back a bit.

Falling Star [A][1TP]: From air only. A simple diving thrust at breakneck speed, showing only a silver glint.

 

Phantasma Flash [A][2TP]: A double dash slash that drastically changes the user's position.

Ruinous Bloom [A][2TP]: Stab to make an ethereal pink beam to spout forth and strike.

Shattersteel Swarm [A][2TP]: Stab ground in front to cause bladed energy blasts to come forth and circle around to the sides of the target.

Thousand Shadows [A][2TP]: It seems like the blade was drawn only once, only for the target to be struck countless times.

Demon Blade [A][2TP]: Send a fast-moving wave across the ground much like Demon Fang, except on impact it explodes into a burst of countless slashes.

Rainfall [A][2TP]: Can be done from air or ground. If done from ground, knock enemy up and unleash a barrage of stabs. If done from air, simply barrage enemy with stabs downward, when done so the user will levitate a bit into the air.

 

Abyssal Seal [A][3TP]: Uppercut opponent into the air and slash them a few times before slashing them back down.

Zantetsuken [A][3TP]: Iron-cutting blade. A mid-range single slash that covers a large area. Can be in any direction, vertical, horizontal, etc. It makes it ideal for clearing out large numbers of enemies.

Reaper's Embrace [A][3TP]: Dark energies appear in a large sphere around Rastia, briefly pulling everything close before bursting with dark slashes all around.

Unseen Executioner [A][3TP]: Disappear and immediately appear above the target and come down with a fatal slash. Unlimited range, meaning he can immediately invalidate distances with this.

 

 

Burst Artes

Aurora Lotus [4TP]: Dashing forward, if he catches his opponent they'll be slashed four times by four copies of himself making a cross, before they fall down from above also in a perfect cross, slashing two times each, and then dashing through again before a single heavy dashing slash goes through the centre.

Dark Slayer Mist [4TP]: Dashing forward, Rastia will immediately dissolve into mist, and then appear at his former position, sheathing his blade. Once unsheathed, a large area becomes covered in pillars of energy in random directions at the area he dashed to, before they disappear, slashing anything it makes contact with.

Vindictive Executioner [4TP]: A counter-guard move. If struck while in use, user will dissolve into mist and appear behind the attacker with blade unsheathed, as if frozen they cannot move until Rastia sheathes his blade, wherein they will take massive damage as they realize they've been slashed fatally.

Backstory:

 

An original resident of Old Batotia and was greatly involved with the Great War. He was normal before the events unfolded, a happy-go-lucky guy who was emotional at times. He was a good friend to be with at least. This all changed once the demon, Drev, that resided inside of him finally decided to wake and take over his body. He was destructive during that time and had no control over his own body; it lead to him being quite hated among the many people that also were involved with the Great War. He definitely had friends who did understand his problem, but the demon ended up backstabbing them. He doesn't know if those friends forgave him, because he left to avoid them.

 

During the resolve of the Great War, Drev finally emerged from the body of Geo. His intent, was to defeat him and take full control of his body and wreck havoc with full force. The battle was long and tedious, but at the conclusion of the battle, Geo won and the two soon assimilated into one being. He was finally back in full control of his body for good, but the essence of Drev still remains in his body to this day. The thing was, he was never the same since, with the essence of Drev in his body, his lifespan is greatly expanded. Geo had a feeling like he can never go back to his happier days and he roams around the new built world as a negative person. Who knows if he can truly atone for the deeds Drev had committed during the war.

 

For 500 years, he has roamed around trying every little thing to help others; it is the least he can do

 

Geo still holds his original blank mask he had carried from the past as a memento of his old times. The times that were good, and the times that were bad, but it was all the same to him now. It was now his old brand that reminds the people who he was before, and someday, he will finally remove his mask for good. Even if it takes an eternity walking in the earth.

Assault Burst Art- Shadow Barrage [4TP] [Dark]: A large barrage of attacks encased in a flame of darkness.

Assault Burst Art- Dazzling Fury [4TP] [Light]: A temporarily blinding array of attacks made out of light.

Note: The pure light stuff aren't really bright at all, they're pretty dim. So don't worry about getting blind or anything.

This makes me miss Batotia City so much. It was horribly unstructured for so long and died just as its order and story were coming together.

Wish was why I've been thinking for awhile now, to make a 'sequel' of sorts to conclude thing. Of course it would be an altered reality of sorts (The history and past events would change but some of the characters would need to be altered along with limits placed) and such. But with all the RPs and the fact I wouldn't make a good gm, that's been on the back burner.

~L~, I'm just curious but if you select another race (whether it be demon or anything other than human) what's the oldest you're allowed to make the character? I was thinking of incorperating my 'War' character (altered of course) and was caught on whether this RP had an age limit (young or old).

Name: Remy Antoinette Charlevoix

Age: Unknown, some say thousands of years.

Gender: Femmé

Race: She calls herself a Sin'Dorei, though in the end all call her a Blood Elf.

Cooking Skill: Desserts.

Backstory: Almost three years ago, a strange girl appeared within the confines of On'Man'Ga's lands. Everywhere she walked, the weather grew colder, and with it, the sentiments of the immediate populace's demeanor towards her also grew chilled. So, at the earliest she can remember, she could remember the life of a nomad, moving listlessly from one town to the next until no homes were left. Driven out of each home and each little cottage she could try to house herself within, eventually a life on the streets as a beggar seemed her best option. Slowly, she starved, and the more she starved, the more desperate she became. Even resorting to stealing food and goods alike to simply make ends meet, so that she could at least keep moving into the next tragedy.

 

It wasn't until one day that she was on the run from guards that she came into a place called Calibus. A guild of adventureres and misfits just like her. Initally, she was terrified, but she was met with such a warm welcome. With open arms, they accepted her into their home, even in spite of the chilling air she seemed to constantly emanate.

 

Here, in her new home, she had her first encounter with the Silver Tounged Weaver. He whose flames seemed to embrace creation and destruction. Elijah. Spotting the miserable awkwardness in the Elven girl, he took her beneath his wing. Soon before long, they were engaged in all sorts of missions and misadventures both comical and dangerous at times and it is with his careful help and guidance, she gained better control and precision with her magic. To the point where no longer did she constantly surround herself with cold, but welcomed the warmth of the world. It is with his help that she rose to become one of the most powerful Arch Magi in On'Man, famed for both her prowess and beauty alike.

 

With fame came suitors, and she rejected them. 

 

Yet her bliss in finally finding a place she could not call home was still met with tragedy. The world as they knew it was slowly dying. Familiar faces were disappearing into the abyss, and sent out on the most dangerous mission by the Guildmaster, Elijah and Remy found themselves standing at a precipice. In order to continue existing, one of the great three needed to be sacrificed. Elijah, the Flame of Creation, Remy, the Mistress of Time, or Rastia, the Warden of the Earth. Much to her refusal, Elijah stepped forward to be the sacrifice. Clinging onto the first person who had shown her true kindness in what she thought was her final embrace, the Frost Mage made a wild decision in the heat of the moment.

 

She was going to jump with him. 

 

Not removing her eyes from his as she intertwined her cold fingertips about the warmth of his hands, the two jumped into the residual remnants of the world. Their sacrifice being that which bound the world together and put a stay in its prolonged death. Yet as her eyes closed with naught but a peaceful expression on her face, she felt no pain, no burning, no burst of magical energy destroying who she was, there was nothing. In fact, she could feel light, and a warmth upon her face of the sun kissing her cheek. Opening one eye, the Elven girl saw rolling green fields and skies of blue. Could this have been the afterlife she was told existed?

 

No. It was quite far from this fact.

 

It was a completely different world! A land called Batoto with many new faces and friends alike! This time, the awkwardness gone from her poise, she settled in quite comfortably to her new surroundings. Soon she became known as one of the most capable Magi. Yet there was still something missing. Elijah. He was still missing, and once she had grown comfortable navigating the seemingly endless lands, she left the home she had settled into in search of him. For without the Silver Tongued Weaver she felt incomplete, though she could never understand why.

Style Name: Frozen Time

Style Description: Remy's style of magic is one that is truly rarely seen if ever. And it encompasses what seems to be two elements, but in fact is one. She is a magi that manipulates time, though in the eyes of most it seems to take a rather chilled form. Utilizing destructive, precise, and dangerous time magic, she freezes her enemies and in an essence, shatters them. Conjuring what seems to be bolts of Frost, Barriers of Ice and the like, she has a tendency to vanish in the blink of an eye only to be seen in the distance fromt he original point.

 

Style Bonuses: (I will decide these. Everyone gets 3 generally)

Overlimit:

• Time Warp -  This Overlimit increases the combat capability of herself and her allies by five fold. Literally making it seem as if they no longer obey the rules of time itself as they move and strike with utterly inhuman speeds. For three posts, the party's combat capability becomes utterly monstrous, and a force to be truly feared.

Artes List

Frost Bolt - Remy conjures a bolt of Frost that strikes her enemy with destructive power, and also slows down their movement.

Ice Lance - Remy conjures a Lance of Ice that is as sharp as it is deadly, and hurls it at her enemy.

Deep Freeze - Remy literally freezes a person in place. Encasing them in a block of ice. Holding them imprisoned for a few seconds and making them extremely vulnerable.

Ice Nova -  Remy conjures a literally explosion of Ice that can snare any person within ten yards of her. Making them immobilized for a brief moment of time.

Ice Barrier - Conjuring a shield about herself, it is a semi-translucent barrier of ice that can take physical blows. If broken, the shield explodes outward in an Ice Nova.

Cone of Cold - Whipping air about violently, Remy unleashes a massive cone of frigid air that runs the risk of freezing people in place.

Ice Block - In times of extreme danger, Remy surrounds herself in a massive block of ice. Of which is impervious to physical and magical blows to buy invaluable time.
Icy Veins - For a brief moment of time, she increases her own personal haste by threefold. Increasing her combat capabilities remarkably.

Frost Bomb - Remy surrounds an adversary with frigid air, which eventually collapses in on them and detonates in a frigid, shrapnel-filled blast after several seconds.

Ring of Frost - Creating a massive ring of translucent magic on the ground, any who trespass in or out of it's borders become frozen and encased in ice.

 

Blink - Remy ceases to exist in one point of time, and reemerges in another. Ranging in distance from several feet to nearly thirty feet away.

Polymorph - Altering someone's physical form for several seconds, Remy turns them into a Sheep, a Cat, or a Penguin. Can only be done to humanoids or beast-esque creatures.

Counterspell - Twice in any fight, Remy can counterspell an opponent caster. Breaking their cast and silencing them, making them unable to cast for several seconds.

Greater Invisibiliity - Before combat begins, the Mistress of Time can warp the very air that surrounds her, creating an illusion of invisibility for her adversaries.

 

Burst Artes:

Frost Bolt Barrage - Remy summons anywhere from six to a dozen frostbolts at once to strike her adversary or adversaries with similar effects.
Ice Lance Barrage - Remy summons anywhere from six to a dozen Ice Lances and hurls them at a single target. Often used as an execution move.

Alter Time - Remy alters the flow of time. Creating an imprint of herself in another time, at her will, she can return to that imprint, undoing anything that might've been done to her.

Artes lists can be quite long by the way. Since you're making every Arte your character can use right away. There may be minor additions along the way, but never anything major, not to mention they cannot be added without some justification.

 

I think at average you'll have...

 

0 Cost: Several

1 Cost: Several

2 Cost: 4-6

3 Cost: Around 4

4 Cost: Which are Burst Artes, so 2-3.

 

And of course, only 1 Mystic Arte/5 Cost Arte is allowed, and that is gained through progression.

 

As for age limits, yes that indeed can be manipulated by choosing different races. More ancient races can live for a longer period of time.

 

Please note however that the war was around 500 years ago.

 

Also, there is no indentation for Burst or Mystic Artes to follow up from your regular Artes. They are simply on their own, and can be used without a precursor move. So you're going to have to change that Trouble.
