Straight to the point. And to answer your question, I don't believe there will be any, but I don't know for sure.
No that isn't it remember there are 2 groups one for those who have high magic capabilities and then there are reserves who use items to help support them can only think that gun is the support item.
The protagonist clearly is hiding something most likely something along the lines where he can use magic but is perhaps using to suppress them?
Remember with the girl who has those special eyes who can see auras and magic he was very wary of her means that he is clearly hiding something revolving around magic.
