It's quite insensitive, casually offensive banter then. Just say you dislike them and keep it at that instead of going out of your way to call them less than dirt or crap.
Easy, bud. It's how these folks poke fun at each other. Just ignore'em if you don't like it. They usually mean nothing by it.

It's complex, isn't it? He's full of contradictions and is bit of a hypocrite, but I think he clings to the extremes because I think it's his only way to maintain some semblance of function. He's not exactly sane.
As for the cloning, you wouldn't have to worry. I'm just going to make him be the comic relief for the majority of the time.

“I was still a child when we found him. I still remember it vividly even to this day. This was when the city had been nothing more than a sleepy fishing village long before the merchants and the lords came. A storm had recently passed and the village was in celebration as the Storm God presented us with a bounty of fish as thanks for letting him pass through. Our nets were bursting with all kinds of fish and everyone threw a festival as was the custom in those times.
“However, in the nets was a being that almost looked like a dragon! We were so frightened! We didn’t know what to do. As the adults panicked and talked amongst themselves, it was I that noticed that draconic figure shifting into a little boy with hair that matched the shine of the sun. He blinked his eyes open, revealing orbs of gold full of curiosity and wonder. Our gazes met and he smiled. This was my first meeting of Lysander and I was to become his first friend.”
Neri Dalondo, 21st Doge of Neciev
“He was the strangest Naga I’ve ever met! He called himself a “sea dragon,” but I know the tales of the dragons of centuries past and he was by no means as cruel or violent as they had been. His name was Lysander and he could sing, he could charm, he could weave tales, and he could play. Such a cheerful child despite the glaring looks he received in the village he lived in. As other children grew into adulthood, the poor Naga child remained the same. Some people resented him and blamed him for their troubles. When he begged if he could come with me on my travels, I knew very well I couldn’t just leave him...”
Merian of the Circle, Sage of Magic
“Bad day for Kort. Be captured by enemy warchief. Kort didn’t do nothing! Kort just minding own business when enemy warchief came and hit clan. Din’t treat good orks good! Din’t give good orks food or shiny gold! Warchief gave bad orks gifts and good orks bad. Not good warchief at all. One day, puny child come. He all smiley-smiley even when told to mine shiny gold. Kort like him so Kort help puny child. Puny child would give Kort yummy yummy candy. Puny child gives good ork good things.
“One day, puny child tired of warchief tellin’ him what to do. Puny child Lysa told Kort what he gonna do. Kort like idea so Kort helped. Puny child Lysa open chains of good orks with key by being sly and sneaky. So Kort led the good orks and kill enemy warchief. He bad warchief so no one mind. Kort became chief then. Puny child Lysa help Kort and Kort threw party for him. Then puny child Lysa left. Oh well. He good. Always welcome to Clan Warborne.”
War Chief Kort the Great of Clan Warborne
“I was still a princess then, before I received the accolades of my triumphs, when I met him. I was at war with my brother who wanted the throne our father left to me, and I was outmatched and outnumbered. My scouts captured Lysander who claimed to be a bard and brought him to me as they believed he had been an enemy spy. It turned out he was telling the truth. I told him my predicament and he volunteered to spend the night before we go off to battle playing songs and telling merry tales. My men were good and I wouldn’t want to deprive them of entertainment on what I thought would be their last night.
“Oh and how he played… His voice was so beautiful, like the sirens of the seas that led men to their deaths. I was enchanted, and I knew then I didn’t want to die. I think my men thought so too. We were invigorated by Lysander, liberating us of the chain of doubts that had been latched onto our hearts. Needless to say, when we went off to battle the next day, we were victorious despite all the odds.”
Rosierre, the Queen of Thorns
“We heard of him before. After a century of travels, everyone came to recognize who Lysander was. He spent the evening in our inn making small talk with some of the other guests, and while he was all laughter and smiles, I couldn’t help but sense a melancholy present in his golden eyes. After the other guests turned in for the night, I asked him what was wrong. He smiled at me and confided that he was tired of wandering aimlessly. However… soon after telling me that he told me not to worry. He said he has a new goal in mind and while I’m not sure what it is, I think it’s something that will make him happy.”
Susy, daughter of the owner of The Lord’s Road Inn
Traits
- Wandering Bard – Lysander has been aimlessly travelling for quite some time now acting as a bard who can sing, play instruments, and tell tales. He has made connections with so many people and learned so many things. Though young in body and in spirit, there is no denying the plethora of knowledge he holds.
- Keen Gold Eyes – Lysander is swift and cunning with an eye for details. His observations can reveal more details, primarily weaknesses (either physical or mental), on a person, place, or thing that would otherwise be missed by less critically-minded persons.

If we're talking about grizzled veterans, look no further than me. I was the one that got this entire board rolling to begin with, after all.
Anyway, I'm a little confused on how to go about creating a character. Do we create our own traits or something?

ÆSCESNE
Act I: Fate
He did as etiquette dictated and took the offered hand of Sir Bryland Reach. As the talking flowed between Ostermarker and Reach, he had the luxury of listening without the need to offer anything. This brief respite allowed Æscesne the chance to look over the older man that rudely invited himself to the conversation.
However, he soon halted his investigation upon hearing Reach’s stance on humanities and culture. The ambitious tactician did not share such disparaging sentiment.
“Let me begin with the easiest observation,” Æscesne suddenly stated, attempting to draw the attention of the two men. He turned to Reach and nodded towards the man’s right leg. “You walk with slight limp on that leg. Hardly noticeable by most, but easily noticed enough by those with keen eyes. In order to mask that you do have a limp, you tend to favor leaning on it anyway to deceive those that actually care to look.”
He walked forward, plucking a strand of long hair from the knight’s shoulder. “Prior to engaging us in conversation, you were with a woman. You probably didn’t engage in coitus, but you did enjoy the kisses nevertheless. There are stains of lipstick smudged on your neck that you were careful in wiping away and also your own perfume is mixed up with one of the feminine variety. It could easily be a maid out to have a rich nobleman for a lover, but, no, that isn’t the case. It’s a noblewoman to be sure considering how rare a fragrance the perfume is, married too if I have to guess. The coloring of the lipstick is too bold for a young virgin girl out with her parents.”
He smirked at Reach, taking a step back. “I could continue on, but I’d rather not address the uncomfortable way you try to scratch at your crotch when you believe someone isn’t looking. You’re a fine swordsman to be sure and I wouldn’t want to be pierced here because I affronted you in some way. In any case, I believe my point is made clear.
“Knowledge is quite valuable in a lot of wars, Sir Reach. Without knowledge, you would have no means to earn money or to defend it from getting it stolen. A combination of both knowledge and things that can be touched by fingertips gives ordinary men such as you and I power. Perhaps the secrets of the dead may elude others, but it itself isn’t intrinsically worthless. Scholars such as Lowell Ostermarker look into these things to gleam its wealth, whether it is monetary or otherwise.”
Æscesne bowed politely. “I’m Æscesne, a wandering tactician. Forgive me for any insult I made by my little demonstration.”

Yeah, go for it Liar. Though, I'm not sure what sort of physical or mental weaknesses you hope to uncover and use to your advantage. =O
The details I'm more keen on having is being able to show the man that he can deduce a lot of things about Bryland. For example, using a Sherlock Scan will enable my character to know if Bryland has a lover, an old injury, what he had for breakfast, etc, based on visual cues on his person. My character is more or less wants to show him that knowledge is power and because he rubbed him the wrong way.

SpoilerDid Dipper meeting 5yo Wendy sink that OTP? I tend to avoid fandoms because they consume too much time but that moment destroyed it for me.
Also I ship that if Alex can bum that character off the people who made Over the Garden Wall.
XD
Good luck. You'll still need supporters, and many of them. With the individualism that pervades today's society you're in or a long and wearisome road. (Anti-vaccine people are a good example of that.)
Psh, my parents tell me to do what I love and after roleplaying with all you folks, the thing I love is to be an ambitious schemer.
