This thread is, in some sense, requesting for the opposite of the Master account deletion thread, on a case-by-case basis. It has been indicated that Grumpy will be purging all accounts, and all user data (which I presume also includes forum stuff like posts and PMs) will be lost. However, at the same time, it seems like the forums themselves aren't going to be completely nuked, but merely shifted to a different domain. So I have a couple of questions:
1. Will the existing forum-related public data (existing topics, posts, status updates) be retained on the new forum (possibly with all user data nuked, so everyone will show up as Guest_xyz), or are we going to start afresh?
2. If some part of this forum is going to be retained, I would like my account not to be nuked. I have good memories, conversations and posts associated with my account which I would like to retain. Will this be possible (perhaps on a case-by-case basis)?

I only started reading on Bato.to since last year and It quickly became my favourite manga site, the rest (mangafox, mangahere) simply steal from bato.to. All in all, I hope you can find someone as a replacement.

I need a new one too, I karate kicked my laptop off my bed in my sleep too many times and now the power port is as loose as my butthole after dropping a Dino turd.

I missed you, Kannade, your post makes me laughs a lot so many times I regret drinking something while reading.  Yeah, my old laptop, I abuse it a wee bit to much so the battery is pretty loose. Then I got stupid busy with blah blah blah long story short I didn't get a chance to buy a new one till my new year bonus came in , mortgages  ()

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but none of the other sections seemed appropriate. I sent Grumpy a message a few days ago through Batoto but I haven't heard back yet. This is probably a hectic time for Grumpy, so I understand the delay, but as the clock is ticking down, I'm feeling more frantic and don't want to see another one of my favorite communities disappear so here goes nothing.

 

For transparency, I'm a computer scientist that's working on a small startup (literally just me and sometimes my friends help) interested in taking over the responsibility of running Batoto. I have a fair amount of experience with building and managing web systems and am even willing to offer compensation for the site. If anyone has other questions, please feel free to ask and I will answer what I can.

 

If anyone knows Grumpy and can pass on my message or knows a reliable way for me to get in contact with Grumpy, please let me know. If Grumpy doesn't want to see this site continue or thinks I'm not the right person, I will respect the decision, but having gotten no reply makes me concerned my previous message simply did not get through. Thanks.
