I watched Abraham Lincoln - Vampire Hunter recently, I couldnt finish it. It was so boring to me but the concept was cool so I'm disappointed with the director and script writers.

LOl I wouldnt recommend most of the "Dracula" movies

Seems like I remember this being a good "Dracula" movie.........of course I liked Gary Oldman too. 1992 version Dracula directed by Francis Ford Coppola...won three Academy Awards so at least someone liked it at the time....

No problem, it is an oldy now, heck, it's been a long time since i saw it too. One note that I remember for sure though was that it had at least a couple of super sexy blood sucking scenes with some (like a trio of them) super hot vampire babes. I mean it is an R rated film. A real stylish movie (i think one of the oscars was for costumes) but serious and blood thirsty too.

Vampire movies should be about blood-sucking, action, and sex.

Vampires from Twilight have great potential. Meyer created them, and decided to use them in a romantic story. That doesn't mean that's the only thing they're capable of. I like Twilight version of a vampire a lot. If we were to see them in a different story, don't you think it would be awesome?

But as far as the best vampire movie goes, in my opinion, "Interview with the Vampire" has it's ass comfortably seated on the throne.

You had me confused for a moment, you could have just said "Bram Stoker's Drakula". It's right there on the second place :) Licking the king's boots.

Aaahhh, you're right, I did miss that part of the title....don't know why IMDB only had the "Dracula" part by itself in their title of it, it's right there on the image they've got for it, and for that matter I remember that's what it was called now that I think about it. (it's been a looong time since I've seen it, I think I actually saw that one on the big screen when it was released) xD

No not really, I hated edward and his clan. they killed the slightly better vampire in the first movie, I didnt like the shine in the sun thing or the whole no drinking blood thing.
I actually heard Meyer actually wrote a book about fairies but her publisher thought they should change it to vampires to make it popular with everyone.

Blade, Underworld, and Abraham Lincoln. period.

If you live after giving up on the things you want to do and the world around you doesn't sparkle, it's the same thing as being dead.

I'll agree with the Blade and Underworld stuff. There's also a small vampire film from Quebec that I liked, but wasn't violent or anything, can't remember the title...Hrm...

Anyway, I've found this while looking around: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_de_films_de_vampires   (no worries, the french titles and the original ones are shown, along with the country of origin, year and producer)

Ah, found the little Quebec movie I was talking about, it's called Karmina, but unless you have some knowledge of french, it won't do you any good. The wiki article does say it is considered a cult movie though.

Yes, Monica Bellucci is very nice to look at.

Interview with the Vampire. ~.~

Van Helsing counts as a vampire movie, I think...

First Underworld was good too, didn't like the sequels as much though. >.>

Stake Land is my favorite vampire film.  It has a post-apocalyptic setting, with a zombie feel.  I mean that people are turning by a "pandemic of vampirism."

"He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you."

"Thoughts are the shadows of our feelings — always darker, emptier, simpler."

"You look up when you wish to be exalted. And I look down because I am exalted."

"The 'Kingdom of Heaven' is a condition of the heart - not something that comes 'upon the earth' or 'after death'."

dark shadows was more of a comedy than anything serious. But Johnny Depp plays a perfect vampire
