So we know Sherlock survived, and Watson was groggy when he saw Sherlock fall off the building, but how did it happen? The clues we saw throughout the episode were: Moriarty either has a mask or knows someone who can impersonate Sherlock, Moriarty ignored the morgue employee Molly while threatening his friends, and Sherlock had her do or prepare something that only she could do without being detected (implying no cooperation with the targets), Watson was hit by a biker and it looked extremely deliberate,Watson's view of the impact was obscured by a truck, the body that fell was cold and looked like Sherlock to a concussed Watson, and Sherlock survived without a scratch.
While I watching for the first time, I assumed that Sherlock had taken a low-heart rate drug or something to fool Watson's pulse test, adjusted himself so he did not die from the fall, and arranged to be taken in to the hospital immediately after falling to minimize lasting damage. However, even Sherlock can't be that good, because the head was bleeding a LOT, and when he returned in the final scene he didn't seem to have a scar. It also didn't explain what Sherlock wanted Molly to do. My current theory is that using whatever method the Sherlock impersonator used (we assume Sherlock knew how and passed the information to Molly or used it himself), either on Moriarty's corpse (tempting, but sort of unlikely because of height difference and length of time he had with the body) or another dead body closer to his proportions prepared in advance by Molly, he was able to jump into the truck and the body came from the truck (in this case we have to assume the bystanders would be from Sherlock's homeless squad) , or he pushed a dead body off the roof while Watson was getting hit by the biker. In the end, it probably doesn't matter HOW he did it, but it would be nice to see if someone caught something I didn't, or interpreted the events differently.

I did like the Robert Downey Jr. movies, superb soundtrack also.

And Goddamn, this series has such a strong fandom, I know a lot just by browsing it on Tumblr. I'll try to watch it next week.

I've not finished season 2 (its on my to watch list!) but am super excited for season 3

I really like the mini movie style of the show, it gives more time for the story to develop... Am I the only one that finds the text convos between John and Sherlock hilarious?

Btw, why just 6 episodes? It's the average number of episodes for a British series, huh?

British TV series seasons tend to have a small number of episodes.

I've not finished season 2 (its on my to watch list!) but am super excited for season 3

The ones in season 1 were the ones i was referring to, I haven't seen any of season 2 yet, i missed them when they aired and haven't been able to buy them anywhere yet. I'd download them, but i'll end up buying the dvd anyways...

DVDs are a must, s1 has the pilot episode, and s2 has a "Unlocking Sherlock" documentary <3 (the gifs in my sig come from it xD)

You can find both of those on youtube anyways lol

xD i agree with you there, I've watched season 1several times over, I keep waiting for amazon to tell me that season 2 has shipped, but there's still not a date for the release on the page yet...

I've come across this problem a lot though lately, I see a few episodes of a season, I look to buy the others so i can catch up, and they're usually not available for sale until months after the current season ends. The seasons of Castle don't come out until the next season starts to air :/

it's really a pain not being able to find them legally. I should probably just invest in a dvr so I don't have this problem...

Anywho, I'm still having a difficult time picking a favorite between Sherlock and John... I don't think I can see them separately, they're such a matched set!

I'm pretty sure s2 was released on DVD in the UK like a day or two after it finished airing o.o It's also available here in australia too
