The goblins of Cave Daria were in a terrible fix. There was no adults. It was a former nursery that was left by it's former tribe. They ran to the north when the humans discovered the area and left the babies behind. They could have stayed and risked their entire clan, or leave and gamble the lives of those left behind.
In the end, a goblins quick growth has made you. The first generation. The goblins who must truly work from the ground up. Single mistakes could potentially cause death.
Outside the cave, sunlight shone through the trees. The goblins were only 3 days old, but they were mature enough to survive in the wild. One by one they began opening their eyes and waking up. Their stomachs growled and they all knew it was time to hunt through sheer instinct. There would be no helping hand through this process. It was all down to the goblins themselves.
Kor woke up already in a bad mood. His higher than average intelligence had cause him to have a vague idea of the situation he was in. When he turned to the goblin next to him and only saw a dumbfounded look, it didn't help out his mood. Quickly Nih's face changed to a large grin and he moved to stand up quickly. This guy seems like he has boundless energy.
Meanwhile, Snarf had already awoken and was watching the interaction between Kor and Nih. She had a similar one upon awaking. The goblin called Archi had attempted to help out Snarf and wake her up for the morning to enjoy her full chance at food. The fool. Snarf would clearly wake up precisely when she meant to. Archi seemed to be easily impressionable.
Mu was lost as far as where her destination would be. Several groups were forming and she could easily join in on any of them. Dak had already began leaving the cave to hunt with another goblin named Vorne. A few others were looking at the two considering joining them. There was also Kor and Nih, Snarf and Archi, Rot and Char, and Lorcan, Ros, and Fera.
The talkative goblin, Char, had taken a liking to Rot. The other goblin just seemed to enjoy his presence. It was a simple bond that sometimes exists in goblin communities. It can't be explained, but is most likely from being raise nearby from birth, "Hunt?" Char asked.
Lorcan was caught between two goblins who were having a rather interesting series of interactions. The two acted like brother and sister, as if they knew each other for much longer than they'd even been alive. Fera was very focused and seemed to enjoy listening, while Ros would run his mouth while he figured out things they could do. He wasn't a rocket science, but he could think of the box. It was then that Ros looked to Lorcan as if to question what he had planned to do.

Prologue: The Hunted
Cave Axl: Day 3
Gnarlroot jungle. A fitting name. For the jungle is as tough as the gnarled roots it is named after. The predators are vicious, the prey is sly and even the plants try to kill you. It's a rough world out there trying to survive in Gnarlroot, and many don't make it. But those who do survive become strong. Strong enough to take what Gnarlroot throws at them, and shove it back in its face.
Today, on this glorious morning, we are traveling deep into the heart of Gnarlroot jungle. We are getting right in there amidst the sights, sounds and smells, and it may surprise you to learn that we are trying to find a river. But it's not just any river, it's the Colaido River. This river flows strong and steady over great distances, not giving a single damn about who or what passes by. The river may not be all that wide and impressive to look at, but it is long and winding and a little bit arrogant. It's so long in fact that nobody ever bothered trying to follow it all the way to the end, because Gnarlroot isn't a place that allows you enough respite to follow such flights of fancy without risking life and limb. Some say that this river travels through out the entire world, and knows all things. How true that may be is up for debate but this river, being such a well traveled river, at the very least sees a lot of what goes on in Gnarlroot jungle. But it never tells its stories.
For the Goblins of Axl Cave, this is a good thing.
Because if you were to follow the river upstream you would eventually find a waterfall. And if the river had told you to look carefully, just to the side of the waterfall and hidden behind some bushes, you would notice there is a little cave opening, covered with a door woven from leaves and branches.
This is the home of the Gnarlroot goblins. More commonly known as Axl Cave.
Inside this cave, the newest batch of hopeful and excitable young Goblins are just beginning to stir. Day three of their life is just beginning. And day three is a big one for Goblins. Because until now, the three Elder's of the group had been taking care of them. Old Goblin Fela had nursed their wounds with the tender care of a Grandma. Goblins Rhad and Yen had been working overtime to gather enough food for the new group of Younglings. Tael was... well, Tael was doing something, somewhere no doubt. But now, day number three had come around. And as every Goblin knows, day three is the first time that a young bunch of, let's be frank here, idiotic cannon-fodder will be going out to hunt for their own survival.
And so as the sun signaled a new day by spilling it's golden guts across the horizon, the Goblins of Axl Cave began to stir. First awake was Goblin Din, his fidgety movements of overflowing energy showing exactly why he didn't need much sleep. Shortly he was followed into the waking world by Jett, whom he had woken up with his fidgeting. Jett, sending Din a grumpy look and a morning groan, bumped into and woke up Bran who, thinking Jett wanted to talk to him, proceeded to talk his ears off with his inane and sometimes undecipherable ramblings. In no time at all Bran had chattered his mouth-flap until the whole cave was awake and going about their morning business. Some nibbling on bugs they'd found. Kars was making faces at himself in the shiny rock and from the smile on his face he was clearly loving it. But they all knew the free ride had already stopped. At some point they would have to go out and hunt for themselves. The big question was who would go first, and when.

Prologue: Broken Spear
Cave Ruok: Day 3
Cave Ruok was located in a rather unforgiving terrain. Snow was constantly coming down from the sky and it was important for the goblins to stay out of the elements. Between the constant threat of the Yeti that rules the mountain and hypothermia, it was quite a harsh place to live. The next generation of goblins were just born recently and it was a joyous occasion.
Normally goblins are rather self-centered, but when you're forced to take shelter in a cave for large periods of time it ends up making those inside quite close. Being such a tightly knit goblin community was rare. Perhaps the thing that brought them together was the Yeti. Over time the older goblins that had survived took to worshiping the Yeti as some form of god.
Yelis, the quiet newborn, seemed to already be making friends. Cadu and Leni were the first to befriend the shy goblin. It was mostly because they had an argument on what they wanted to do today and dragged Yelis into it. Patch and Jojo awoke next to this little trio. The rumbling in their tummy warned them that they hadn't eaten, but the cold outside looked intimidating.
Flake and Grait were picking up and helping out the goblins that were finally able to contribute to the group. Boom was already awake, she just was enjoying the extra time to sleep. Flake had none of that and quickly yanked her onto her feet. Days on the mountain had started early and it was time they learned. Grait took this time to shake Jasper awake.
Chuklja was the warmest one in the cave. Lucky for him he had fallen asleep on the mysterious "Fire Rock". It was not to be confused with a Fire Gem. This was just a large slab of stone that was constantly heated. The weight of it was far too much for the other goblins to pick up. Plus they didn't really plan on it anyways. This was the source of life and heat for the little tribe. It was the reason goblins could survive in such bad weather.

It wasn't much of a cave. In fact, "Cave" Shaytan was located inside a graveyard. The skeletons of old creatures made the infrastructure of the goblin home. There was incredibly large skeleton that made up the main area where the goblins would stay for most of their indoors life. There were other smaller skeletons that were rarely used. Most of the time only the alpha goblins in the cave were allowed to enter.
Awa was woken up by Seli. Another example of goblins ending up being friendly because they just happened to grow from day 1 alongside each other. At least Seli was like that. Awa could decide if the two would become allies later. Seli tapped Awa on the shoulder and pointed to the cave entrance with a smile. She wanted to hunt.
Talky and Fang woke up alongside each other, but the first goblin to do anything was Rap. Maybe it was the fact that both were particularly skilled with their hands, but Rap found Talky to be fascinating and soon started standing in front of him. It was as if he was a dog waiting for his master's commands. Fang was being bothered by Clash. Probably the most literate of the newborn goblins only because he talked so much.
"You. Me. Them. Hunt. Friend. Maybe? We go!" Clash exclaimed and grabbed both Talky and Fang by the hands.
Jin and Gig were the last two to awaken and the one who did it was Dice. One of the three Hobgoblins left over from a previous generation. He laughed and smiled at the two young ones, "You're gonna be my new personal gamble!"
Looks like Jin and Gig were already being put into a tough position. Dice may have helped mentor some strong goblins in the past, but he had also caused many to die early deaths. It really was a gamble. Jin and Gig could very well decide they want to get some other goblins in on the gamble to increase their own percentages of survival.

Despite the harsh weather, Jojo welcomed the day with a smirk on his face as he got up from the cold, hard ground. However, the icy winds and freezing temperatures were the least of his problems. What Jojo prioritized most during this time, was his appetite. Considering that his body had rapidly matured, it wasn’t surprising that he would be hungry.
Addressing his current dilemma, Jojo began wandering around their cave, in hopes of finding something that was relatively edible. Snooping around the insides of cracks on walls and beneath rocks, Jojo found several species of insects. Appearance-wise, they were quite dull, and as for taste, they were cold on the tongue and kind of bland. The only upside to them was that each had a unique flavor. Regardless of how unappealing they were, Jojo continued to devour them, only to realize that they did little to satisfy his hunger. Still with a handful of insects, Jojo decided that he would share what he had found with the other goblins in the cave. It would have been a shame if he had just set them free and Jojo was certain that like him, many others were probably sought something to eat.
He wasn’t sure whether they appreciated his gesture but he didn't really have any plans on finding out. With his stomach still rumbling, Jojo decided to search for food elsewhere. Rubbing his hands together and cupping them around his mouth, Jojo was pleasantly surprised with what he saw the moment he had gone outside of their cave. The snow and frosty winds didn't seem that bad.
| Goblin Gig | Cave Shaytan, Day 3 | Rock n' Rocks
Gig opened his eyes to the usual bleak color of his skeletal cavern. The scenery was so dreary that Gig's first instinct was to go back to sleep. Though in today's particular case, Gig is not given the luxury of choice. A hobgoblin, much bigger than him, had decided that he'll be a part of his 'Personal Bet'. Gig was not sure what those words mean, but he decided that it's got a nice ring, and therefore must be a good thing.
"Gig personal bet? Is because Gig good?" the young goblin asked Dice with a beaming smile.
"Oh, oh! Can Gig has bet too?" Gig continued excitedly before he proceed to scan the entire cave, and decided that Goblin Rena would make a fine personal bet for him. Without much care for the rest of the Gobs, Gig dashed towards the female goblin, grabbed her by the wrist, and energetically shook 'em up and down.
"Gig be goin' on a hunt with big guy there. Definitely will rock! Rena, come with Gig?"
Patch was awoken by a familiar and unpleasant feeling. It seemed that despite Patch's immense disapproval his belly was rumbling again. Already. He'd woken up in the night and eaten a fist full of insects too. It was always slightly upsetting to Patch when he realized he was hungry. And it happened much more often that he'd like. Certainly more often that some of the slightly smaller goblins. But, on the other hand, it did mean he was going to have to fight something. And that was always something he enjoyed greatly. And so Patch's mind and emotions went through the usual ups and downs of discovering himself to be hungry. Eventually he came to the usual conclusion that the prospect of fighting cheered him up enough that the hunger was worth it.
So Patch got to his feet, stretched a little, wiggled his fingers and toes to check they were still there, and walked straight out of the cave. "Going Foodways!" He shouted as he left. Just in case anyone cared what he was doing, or wanted to come along. He wasn't about to wait for anyone, but if they wanted to come he was fine with it.
The cold outside hit him straight away. This was the first day the younglings had really been able to venture out. Sure, they'd played around and fought closer to the cave entrance where it was colder than deep inside, but the wind really added a piercing quality to the cold that he hadn't really ever felt before. The weather was really something that he'd have to get used too as quickly as possible. To try and remain as warm as possible he decided to keep moving. And so he walked off down the mountain in search of something to kill.

When he woke up he was next to Goblin Gig. Apparently they were going to be bros now but of course Jin wasn't familiar with that term nor knew what it mean't. Was it a food? Was it tasty? Probably not so let's move on. Anyways, they were both woken up by Hobgoblin Dice, one of their caves leaders. All Jin knew was that he was one of the strongest goblins and very important, lots of influence. Not that Jin would know about influence and what not. He wasn't sure what Dice mean't by personal gamble but to Jin, it all translated to special mission that was personally given to them and not to anyone else. Jin wasn't a cocky one or whatnot and wont rub it in anyones face, not like he knew what those terms were either. Except for rubbing things in faces. After all, there were a lot of things to rub in faces; Bugs, dirt, rocks and stuff. There was other stuff but his brain probably couldn't handle too much at one time. In short, Jin was happy about being selected for a special mission. Gig was certainly happy about it as well, but unlike Gig, Jin wouldn't express it like that. Gig went over to one of the female gobbies and grabbed and shook her like a crazy person while pointing towards him.
Jin didn't know what crazy person meant either but he was too busy picking his nose and scratching his ass to care about any of that. Either way, by looking at Gig, it was clear it would probably be wise to follow Gig's example and bring more Goblin's onto their dream team. Looking around, he first went over to Goblin Vic and asked if he wanted to go along with them on a special mission given to them by Hobgoblin Dice. Jin thought Vic was strong as he and strength was needed in such events, of course Jin isn't smart enough to understand plans or whatever but strength was obvious to him. As he finished, he noticed that Goblin Trin was listening to it all. After much thought, a whole 2 seconds, Jin thought it smart to invite Trin as well. Or at least what he thinks as smart, in other words, pretend. Anyways, what was clear was that more numbers meant a better chance at survival.

The Epic Of X:
Spoiler
While we fade away from the bustling market where our benevolent giant resides, we spend what seems to be endless hours winding through the unfamiliar cobblestone streets. Slithering through the labyrinth of darkened streets and narrow passages until in this expansive city, we reach a place where the light rarely touches. There, beneath a fickle and flickering lamp, sitting upon her throne that marks her the queen of the underworld with a cunning and seductive smile is none other than I-Am-X. Calmly observing us with a yellowed iris beset upon harrowing black, her fanged grin only grows wider as her fingertip guides the rod that stirs a tall, thin glass of suspicious looking Red Wine. Here in the Dark, we exist temporarily in her Kingdom. A place where the unsavory sorts can find sanctuary, a black market, and often the tools of death, subtlety, and subterfuge.
Sliding her sultry fingertip upon the spine of a book, the tome seems almost alive as it shudders and props open to a blank, but weathered page. Dipping a sharpened fountain pen in ink, she takes her mark upon the leathery parchment after a sip of her Bloodied delicacy. Not a moment later for us, the innocent-minded folks living upon the streets above, she describes to us her next devilish machination.
When Zeru woke up, the first thing he realized was that he was very hungry. It was a predicament he aimed to solve. However he had the feeling that it wouldn't be that easy either. He chuckled, it would also be nice to have some bait.
He looked around and spotted a few fellows he thought might be interested. He beckoned over a few of his sibling gobs, the ones he knew the best. Bran, Zapp and Grahl ambled on towards him. He called them in conspiratorially, "Have Plan!" he said. "Much Food! LOTS EAT!" he said. Then he pointed out towards the jungle "HUNTING!!"

Fang woke up to the loud sounds of a goblin in her ears and sighed. She looked and saw that it was Clash and sighed again. Then her stomach rumbled. Right, food. She held up her hand and put it over Clash’s mouth to get some quiet. “Fine. Just. Stay quiet.” Loud was annoying, but loud was also good bait. Power in numbers though. She went over to Goblin Seli and tapped her on the shoulder. “Going hunting. More people, more success. Let’s go.” Nice and quiet. Good for hanging back and ambushing after the loud ones draw attention. If Talky came with Rap, even better.

Me by Mischief
Lazily slumbering by day, and wreaking havoc at night is none other than the Demoness that goes by the name Darkoda. Trickster and troublemaker alike, she is that which goes bump in the night. Toys in the shadows and plays on your fears to her advantage. Though usually her mischief is harmless, she is not a poltergeist you wish to enrage or gain disfavor from. With a brilliant smile and cat-like pupils set upon crimson irises, the pale silver of her hair just might be the only thing that might give away her location whenever she is setting up her next prank or ploy. Slumbering within the "haunted" grounds beneath the castle, her fitful dreams are ones of great splendor, wonder, and imagination. Dreams of the places she wishes she could go, if she weren't bound to the confines of the castle. A place where she was chained to by the words of the last Emperor, a descendant of her mother, Amaterasu herself. So reviled by this punishment, she became the trickster we all know and love today. Often during the night, the scratching that haunts Hime's dreams are that of Darkoda's claws, inscribing for us her hopes upon the castle wall.
Sen awoke to Bran filling the air with sound. His sound was so harsh and grating, not to mention loud. Why not laugh instead? At least then he'd be doing everyone a favor. His stomach growled to tell him it was time for food, not sulking. If you're going to growl so much, you should have the mouth instead.Sen let out a bellowing laugh at his joke, drowning out Bran's noise. The other goblins didn't laugh, yet the cave remained his steadfast supporter, laughing with him every time he laughed. Jokes aside, Sen knew it was time to hunt, whether it was because of the older goblins or Zeru yelling out his plans he couldn't quite remember. The cave spread his plan to the rest of the goblins, and soon everyone was preparing to hunt.
Goblins began forming groups to hunt food more effectively, and Sen knew just who he wanted for the task. Jett and Din were easy to find, the two had been together for days, their entire life, and Din was always trying to get the better of the more serious goblin. Nearby was Yang, preparing herself silence, and off in a corner by himself was Salem. A few fights that had to be broken up by the elders before the offender got broken made most people avoid Salem regardless of his otherwise kind nature. "You, you, you, and you." Sen said, pointing to each of them in turn, "Come with me. Together I think we can get a full stomach, an amazing story, or both. There's a world of other creatures out there, and I'm gonna put as many of them in my stomach as I can." Sen flashed them a wide grin.

Pip rolled around on the ground trying to ignore all the noise of the other goblins and his steadily growing hunger, abruptly he sat up and stared hard at the cave wall. He wasn't going to lie around and starve to death like a fool.
Pip looked around the cave to see if there was anything to eat, and seeing that there wasn't he decided that if there was none in the cave he would have to look elsewhere to procure some comestibles.(Just not in those words.)
On his way to the cave entrance his saw that some of the gobs were grouping together for their hunts, but Pip wanted to test himself a little on this hunt and others would just get in his way, then he walked out of the cave.

Awa awoke to Goblin Seli nudging at him. Awa could recognize her without looking, as they had grown together since birth. Taking a moment to himself, Awa rolled onto his side and flexed his back, tilted his neck side to side, and rolled his shoulders. He then rolled back onto his back and stretched out his legs as he loudly yawned. Awa's typical morning routine. Peeking up at Goblin Seli with one eye open, he noted her signalling to the cave entrance with a grunt. Standing up now, Awa rubbed and pulled at his stomach, realizing that getting something to eat wouldn't hurt. He turned to Goblin Seli, "Hmmm, hunt? Okay. Hungry too." Awa lifted his arms above his head to continue his morning stretches and Goblin Seli and he began to walk towards the cave entrance. However, another Goblin came over and asked Seli to hunt to hunt as well. Awa spoke up in agreement, "Hmm. More, better hunt.... Uh... Thang?" Kor was unhappy. He was always unhappy. It had only been three days since he was born, and all three were just terrible. He awoke to aching hunger pangs and the deadening realization that he was wholly unequipped to satisfy that hunger alone. He would need to rely on others. The one in front of him, Goblin Nih, did not give him much confidence.
Alas, he only had so much to work with.
"Come hunt with me, Goblin Nih," he said. It wasn't really a question, but he didn't suppose Nih would notice.
Kor intended to bolster his ranks and his chances at survival beyond one idiotic meat shield and enlisted other nearby goblins. Goblin Gric was alone and had a disposition Kor liked more than most other goblins, so he asked him to come along as well. The two goblins Kie and Bren seemed to be planning to hunt together already, so Kor enlisted them to his hunting party as well. 5 was enough, Kor thought, so they went out into the wilds to search for sustenance.

Food was the first thing that entered Nana's tiny head. Not actual food, only the thought of it unfortunately. The second thing was the sight of Kars making faces at him. Nana could only laugh in response and share the only thing on his brain; "Haha face. Go food?" Simple and direct, like a good goblin. Kars, also a good goblin, invited the idea of food with more funny faces and sounds of agreement. The commotion he raised invited a third goblin Ques to follow along on their grand quest. Nana couldn't be happier.
With a rush of stupid excitement, the three set out.
Lazily sleeping next to the heating stone, Boom Boom opened one eye once one of the others announced his intention to go get food. Yawning, stretching, and blearily blinking, she decided it was best to eat than it was to chip away at the warming stone with another rock. She wanted to see if she could chip off a piece and ground it to a powder, wondering if it would stay warm so that she could keep her hands warm while walking through the cold.
Experiment "Keep Boom Boom Hands Toasty" would have to wait later.
Waking slowly and rubbing her eyes first, she watched the goblin walking away. Standing up and hurriedly dusting off her hands, she looked back enviously at the warm rock for a brief second until hopping down from her sleeping spot and hurrying after Foodways. That was what his name was going to be. Foodways. Much more fun to say, especially when one was hungry.
"Foodways! Wait for Boom Boom!" She cried out, bumbling her way after him clumsily. Grace certainly was not her strong suit.
Now at last we come full circle, back to the hand whose graceful motions first began these tales. Our travels have taken us through town and tower, past glade and garden, through the mists of time and to all manner of locale, but we come to their end in the modern era. Specifically, we come to a loft apartment overlooking the Champs d'Elysees in Paris, France, wherein resides Trouble herself. Some would call her temptress, others know her as charming minx, but nobody dares deny that the lady is possessed of great beauty. As she sits at her writing desk with a fine tipped pen and ink well at hand, a city breeze enters through the nearby open window. The wind causes her raven-colored hair to stir briefly in it before resuming its cascades down to her shoulders, where it briefly touches the angled straps of the midnight blue dress that adorns her well-defined form. With a gentle sip from the thin-mouthed glass of champagne that accompanies her forays onto the pages, she turns her brilliant emerald eyes back to the swirling words she has already put into place. Before she continues on, she checks over her work to ensure that no detail is left unknown, no letter out of its place. For in her passages, as in the mystic runes with which she channels the primordial forces of the world, each stroke is vital and no variance is tolerated. Content with what she has written, the sorceress lays down her writing instrument and makes her way to the balcony. With a breath of the evening air and a wave of her hand, the only decision that remains is what spells she shall weave this night.
Rot was hungry. He knew that because he had never known what it was to not be hungry. He was born hungry three days ago and had remained hungry right up until this moment. He knew he had to eat everyone knew that much and not they weren't such bumbling idiots that they just might be able to stuff their mouths with something other than stones. That was the dream right? Eat a lot of delicious stuff and then get big and eat more delicious stuff. It was a never ending quest of gluttony. Rot didn't really care about all that though. He just wanted to eat. Which it seemed Char understood as she asked him to go hunting.
Smart of her. If Rot had didn't find something to eat soon he might of eaten her. Well, not right away at least. She didn't flinch away from his gaze which made her likable. He would probably eat her last. Would she feel honored to know that? He thought of mentioning it as a way to cement their bond but thought better of it at the last moment. Instead, he simply nodded in agreement and prepared to leave the cave with her.
The sound of the other kinder goblins muttering and moving woke Salem up from his cozy little slumber. However, Salem remained still staring at the small pebbles that lay on the dark and cold stone next to him. He rolled his hand over these little critters, feeling their pricks in his green skin. Around him some of the other goblins sat in groups, poking each other, and hitting the ground with rocks in anticipation for the rest of the group to get up.
Finally standing up nice and tall, Salem ran his fingers through his fabulous hair. Close cropped and the perfect size, Salem loved the feel of the great and blessed bowl-cut that lay on his head. This hair had to be the hallmark of the next great goblin king, as who would follow an oafish looking bald goblin. Oh, god the hair was thick and perfect.
Had another goblin not pointed at Salem, he probably would have been the last goblin out of the cave to go hunt for some breakfast. The signal to Salem caught him off-guard, and he looked up with a raised eyebrow and a strand of hair between his forefinger and thumb. If this goblin wanted to lead, so be it. As long as he got some food, Salem would be happy. He headed of to the now forming group, with a quiet goblin sneaking behind him. One more to potentially use then.

Since she was already woken up by the goblin with the low intelligence Snarf decided to make the most of it. She would need food. Lots of food. She would need other goblins to get eaten by the food to fatten it up first. Or perhaps to throw their weak selves at the food until the food was exhausted. No better yet Snarf would throw them at the food, literally. Snarf congratulated herself on her magnificent plan. There was a weakness to it though. Snarf lacked limbs. She only had two arms. Despite her incredible intellect there was only so much she could do at a time. It was an unfortunate fact and something she would have to work on. More limbs. At least three.
The pelt she had been sleeping on - large ox fur - made an excellent outfit worn most fashionably. Content with her appearance, Snarf made a series of vague arm movements that instructed the Wakener to follow her. She made her way out of the cave deviating twice. Firstly to grab the leg of goblin Mel and secondly to grab the leg of goblin Crey. Snarf was a busy genius; explaining basic concepts like food and meatshields to intellectually inferior goblins was not worth her time. Instead she would simply drag these two along until they reached their destination.
Coincidentally she had moved along the same route as goblins Rot and Char. This was lucky as it meant she would be able to throw more goblins at the prey her sharp hunters eyes would inevitably spot.
He noticed things. That was his thing. He watched things and picked up little details. For example, there used to be wrinkly goblins taking care of them, but now they were gone. He didn’t know where they went to, but he didn’t care.
Lorcan was hungry.
Fera and Ros were talking, and he noticed how different they were. Each goblin was different. These were things he noticed. Ros turned to him, his gesture indicating what he was planning to do. His stomach rumbled. He needed to hunt, but doing it alone would be dumb.
He snarled a toothy smirk. “Hunt!” Lorcan announced.
He sat up and impressed upon Fera and Ros that their help would be required. If they wanted to eat, they were going to join him. Once he made sure they understood the importance of making him leader (being leader felt great), Lorcan approached two other goblins: Rae and Woll. He had to explain to them that their presence was absolutely required if they wanted to eat. It didn’t take much convincing after that.
The party of five goblins left the cave. He noticed some tracks other goblins had made going in one direction and decided against following that. Too many hunters in place would mean less food for him and his group. Once they started moving, they moved in a triangle-shaped formation. Since he was the best at noticing things, he led the other four goblins as a scout. The next two after him would be Rae and Woll because they looked sturdy. The rear would be brought up by Fera and Ros.
Lorcan the Leader. Yes. He liked that. His thinking would make him get all the food, and he would make the other goblins make him leader of them all because he brings food. Well, maybe later. For now, he was going to get stronger.
The party being led by Kor was out of the cave early and quick to the hunt. There didn't seem to be much going on until Nih shouted and pointed into a clearing. Kor turned and saw exactly what he pointed out. A small White Stoat was hopping after a Horned Rabbit. It wasn't long until the rabbit was tired out. It was a wonder the stoat could even hunt it. This rabbit seemed to be ten times the size of the stoat!
Nih acted out immediately and ran after the pair and into the open. The stoat was choking the rabbit by biting its throat, but now there was a goblin running after it. The rabbit seemed to see this too and thrashed once again. It flung the stoat off and made a large slice through the skin on its leg, revealing the muscle underneath.
The rabbit tried to get up, but it had tossed the stoat further away from Nih, who had reached the rabbit in time. The goblin grabbed it by the horn and held it like a club. It struggled at first in the air, but it wasn't long until it simply gave up.
Meanwhile, the stoat began to crawl away. It was slowed down by the injury to it's leg though and didn't make it far. Kor could still see it limping away.
Kie and Bren clapped and smiled wildly, particularly Bren. The two seemed to be enthusiastic about the horn on the rabbit and its pelt rather than the food. Gric just looked at Nih will mixed emotions. One half astonishment, one half disbelief.
Rot, Snarf, Char, Archi, Mel, and Crey
Spoiler
Rot, Snarf, Char, Archi, Mel, and Crey made up the second biggest hunting party of goblins that went out on the first day. They moved through the forest all looking for their next potential prey. It wasn't long until they found it. In the distance they saw an Orc walking lazily through the forest. It seemed to know the forest well.
After seeing it walk a little bit more, the group noticed it had a heavy limp on one of its legs. It's wrinkles gave away its old age. The group must have lucked out and found an older Orc messenger of some sort. It held a bag in one hand and a small box of some sort in the other. It seemed velvety and of some importance to the bigger creature.
He had no weapons and only crude cloth clothing. Whoever gave him this assignment made a clear mistake by sending him through this jungle. It'd be easy to defeat the unsuspecting monster with the position that the party was in.
Lorcan, Woll, Rae, Ros, and Fera
Spoiler
This hunting party had chosen a good direction to take. In fact, it might have been the best possible direction at that point today. After moving through the forest for a short period of time in a different direction from the others, he found the jackpot. An incredibly large Alpha Spiked Wolf was laying on its side. Lorcan was the first to spot it. At first he quickly fell down to hide in the underbrush.
Normally that'd be the correct reaction, but upon further inspection he noticed the pool of blood gathering at it's side. It looked like a small war was fought in the area. Large slashes in the trees indicated that the wolf in front of it must have been thrown against the trees. Whatever creature did that must have been large.
Paw prints in the ground below seemed feline, but they seems to lead further into as of yet unexplored parts of the forest. Lorcan didn't have time to worry about that though. The other four goblins were getting restless. It was fight or flight. Under most circumstances this creature could easily kill a goblin without even putting effort into it.
Fera was unnervingly calm during the whole idea. She took every step carefully and seemed rather well hidden. Lorcan wouldn't have noticed her if he hadn't known she was with him. Ros seemed to calm himself down after a few seconds to absorb the situation. Rae and Woll were the two goblins who seemed genuinely worried about it.
Lorcan's came in handy here. He noticed the slashes all around the animal and the incredible loss of blood. He was just a newborn goblin and he didn't know the specifics of the situation, but he knew the creature was on it's last leg. It couldn't even move. It was an older wolf who must have gotten beaten by another stronger creature. This wolf was free food.
Mu woke up with a start. There was activity all around her. Strong looking Gobs were forming parties and new teams. She noticed an especially ferocious looking goblin walk out with another into the forest.
After watching a few others and hoping to be invited into a hunting team she decided to follow them. Dak and Vorne had made some headway into the foliage when Mu called out for them. After a impasse Dak seemed to think Mu valuable enough to join them and they started out again.

Spoiler
Through the vast entity that is the Internet, we now find ourselves in an unfamiliar place. A place of new faces, new personalities, and new adventurers alike. This place is the new home of our motley crew, and it is called Batoto. Here, as we meander through bustling streets and cobblestone draped markets, we find the first new person we will meet this day. Diabolical Rhapsody. What is so curious and is immediately the most noticeable thing about this shy soul is his height. Towering over eight feet high and sporting a two-handed mace that weighs more than some men, one would expect this scraggly bearded giant to be a savage barbarian. Yet those who dare try to scratch the surface a touch soon find a kind soul who so earnestly aims to please. Accompanying the vodka that he drinks and sings softly to is a pen quill made of the finest eagle's feather. His tools of imagination and creation, the studious giant fervently writes his passages for us all to see.
Soon after Zeru had come up with his plan the crack team of Zeru, Bran, Zapp and Grahl left the cave. After making their way out through the secret cave entrance by the waterfall and meandering off into the jungle they started to hunt. With four pairs of eyes, and Grahl's occasional observations, the group found a trail to follow. And follow it they did.
The trail led them to some kind of large animals home. The nest was broken and the ground was bloody. There had clearly been a fight here. The group followed the large foot prints with care. Eventually they found an alpha Barbed-tail Lion standing over the body of a younger one. Clearly they had fought. Probably over territory. And the older beast won. But not easily. It was a mess. It had wounds everywhere, it was shaky on it's feet, one of it's eyes was closed and bloody. But it stood proud nonetheless. Never letting its much loved tail droop in defeat.
"Oh my!" Bran exclaimed, unable to resist his talking urges. "Big one!" He turned to the group. "Kill it? Or, let it got funday?"
OOC:
Spoiler
Barbed-tail Lions are smaller than a normal lion but you Goblins are small anyways, so it's still pretty big. Other than that it has a shorter mane than a normal lion, and a bigger tail. Those claws look suitably mean too. Good luck! Mwuahaha.
Sen, Salem, Jett, Din, Yang and Fhul.
Spoiler
A large hunting party was formed rather quickly after Sen put out his call to arms. Salem had joined them without much hassle, bringing along Fhul at the same time. The six goblin squad marched on out of the cave and headed out to find themselves some trouble.
It would have been hard for an observer to guess wether they were a good hunting team or not. Jett was slow and methodical, he was looking at everything and taking it all in, especially when it came to flowers. Din was the opposite. Very hasty and clearly in a rush to see things and move on. In a weird way they kind of complemented each others abilities. Yang and Fhul on the other hand were more... Casual. Mainly walking at a normal pace, keeping quiet and doing the job of being an extra pair of eyes.
With such a large group it wasn't too long until one of them spotted something. In this case it was Fhul, her sharp eyes picked out a flicker of movement in the distance. The group huddled up and followed Fhul's directions, eventually finding a small clearing with a group of Nesting Crabs in it. One of them was nibbling flesh off a large bone with it's sharp little teeth. They hadn't yet noticed the large group of Goblins lurking in the bushes.
OOC:
Spoiler
Nesting crabs tend not to venture far from their nest, or at least an entrance to their nest. Their nest is underground. You won't be able to catch them if they get in their nest. Other than that, they are generally about the size of a mud crab and have rough, tough shells. Have fun! :3
Pip
Spoiler
Young Goblin Pip took off walking, aiming to do a spot of hunting by himself. As he walked he was looking around for anything that could become breakfast and eventually Goblin Pip found something. He rounded a tree trunk and suddenly there was an unbelievable sight in front of him. One of the jungle vines was strangling a little furry critter. Anyone would agree that was odd. But then, in a valiant effort to make things stranger, the vine started biting the critter. It was clear then that the vine wasn't a vine at all. It was a large snake that blended into its environment very well. A Vine Snake!
What would Goblin Pip do? All little goblins had been told about snakes by old Goblin Fela, Pip should know that big snakes are big danger. So perhaps he should run. Or maybe he can surprise it while its attacking something else and score two breakfasts? Then again, there were other vines nearby...
OOC:
Spoiler
I'll bet those other vines are looking pretty suspicious right now.
Anyways, the Vine Snake is a big one. It's focused on the little furry critter right now, so you'll have time to do something or other without it noticing you. Good luck! :3
Nana, Kars and Ques.
Spoiler
Nana, Kars and Ques had quite a good bit of fun hunting. Ques would clamber up trees, sometimes daring to jump to another branch, and climb back down another tree. Meanwhile Kars would mutter, "I could do that if I really wanted too." before setting about trying to find something reflective to look into.
As a hunting team the pair Nana had recruited might not have been the greatest back-up, but they seemed to enjoy themselves. And eventually the group found food despite the playing around.
The group, led by Nana, entered a small clearing only to find a Spiderant-eater standing at the base of a tree. Further up the tree, spread out across one of the branches, was a Spiderants nest. It was pretty obvious what this Spiderant-eater might be about to do, even for silly little goblins. But Kars wasn't going to let a silly little thing like 'the plans of other creatures' dampen his sense of self-worth. "Look. I found food." He claimed, pointing at the Spiderant-eater. The creature had just began digging it's claws into the base of the tree and was starting to climb.
OOC:
Spoiler
Just to clarify, a Spiderant-eater is basically an Anteater, but it eats Spiderants. It's not a massive Anteater with eight legs and massive fangs... I'm saving that for later.
