I am thinking of making a character for this.

 

I simply haven't settled for something yet. I am unsure what to go for. There is quite a few options, to say the least.

I probably should have made a poll to see which species you guys would like to play most, and then limited the selection to those two or three.

As it is, I'll just wait and see what you guys come up with. There's a starting story for each species, but I can always make something up to bring everyone together from the get go.

It's purely cosmetic and they can imitate any race almost perfectly. The disguise fails however if they get into a combat situation.

Since its only cosmetic can they alter their appearance freely or is it that they pick one disguise upon entering the world and that's the one they are stuck with.

They can switch freely. The idea is that they are spies for their side (if played straight), so they're able to adapt to almost any situation that might come their way.

If the dice (and maybe the water) is the only problem, then don't worry about it. It's not a core element of the game. People are free to roll or not roll, it's just there for flavour.

Weapons will always do their base damage + your skill stats.

With the dice however, you can get crits (succeed with style). But you can also do less damage with bad rolls.

Either way, you still have your aspects, fate points, and stunts to help you get the job done. So as you can see, the dice are just another tool in your utility belt. You're not weaker or stronger for using or not using them.

I've got the rest but having a little trouble with the stunts. Was trying to think of something to add to her con artist and potentially something for the burglar stat and something illusion based but I can't think of anything, this is what I've got so far.

Personality: An enigma, hiding her true self beneath a veil, or some leather and very loose clothing. Full of sweet words one moment and full of venom the next. No one really has taken the time to really get to know her. Why is that? Well, by that time she has them thinking about other things. She likes taking things that aren't hers.

Biography: Once upon a time there was this honey devil and then someone else that's not important, in time another honey devil was born, amazing, right? Well, as one can guess it's Falis (No Really?!), Anyways, as it is with the other demons and things that go bump and the night it is their life mission to basically cross into the mortal realm and feast upon the humans and crush them underfoot bring forth chaos and what not (yay die humans die). One of these races, The Honey Devils, known as one of the weakest, have an edge on the other ones of the 'horde'. What is it you may ask? Well, they are spell blindingly beautiful while the majority of the rest are ugly as fuck. Not to mention they can easily slip into the mortal world. Score!

 

Back on point, Falis is obviously one destined for big things. Like all Honey Devils, she loves to create trouble and manipulate people into doing things they never wanted to do in the first place. Well now, we keep getting distracted. Falis can be quite troublesome, even to her fellow Honey Devils and those of the Horde. One of the reasons is that she not only relays information about the humans to her brethren but she also gives information to the humans about whatever is deemed important about the Horde. Why? Well, because she likes to keep things fun. It's quite boring if things are always one-sided and plus, the more trouble it brings, the funner it is! All she has to do is going into a bar or where a lot of people gather and blab about what she 'saw'. She also hates taking orders. Orders bad. While others want peace, she wants fun.

Racial Bonus:
• Unnatural Beauty (passive). All honey devils, despite their obvious demonic features, are stunningly beautiful and/or handsome to look at, giving them at the start of the game a +1 Con Artist skill and a +1 Burglar skill. This bonus scales with their level.
• Lords of Pain (passive). All honey devils start the game with an extra moderate physical injury slot.
• Succubus/Incubus (passive). The honey devil attempts to dominate the mind of it's victim. Using their Con Artist skill, the honey devil must overcome the target NPC's Investigative Mind skill. If they succeed with style, then they may pay a fate point to permanently gain control of that character, turning them into minions. Minions that have been abandoned by their masters will eventually die.

Stunts:

• Mystic Eyes. By spending a fate point, Falis' guarantees that her next status effect works on everyone that can see her.
• "You Know What I Heard?" Falis' gains a scaling +2 bonus to her Con Artist skill whenever she enters a bar or tavern.
• "It's Already Mine." Falis gains a scaling +2 bonus to her Burglar skill whenever she steals from someone she already knows. Falis has to spend at least three posts getting to know the person before they can be considered friends.

You can bump the age up into the hundreds if you want, since demons are ageless.

Stunts:
- Mystic Eyes. By spending a fate point, Falis' guarantees that her next status effect works on everyone that can see her.
- "You Know What I Heard?" Falis' gains a scaling +2 bonus to her Con Artist skill whenever she enters a bar or tavern.
- "It's Already Mine." Falis gains a scaling +2 bonus to her Burglar skill whenever she steals from someone she already knows. Falis has to spend at least three posts getting to know the person before they can be considered friends.

How do demons work in this world as far as age and their creation?

The first demons were born from the natural energies flooding their dimension. Think of them like suns but instead of balls of fire, they were titanic creatures of instinct and rage.

Over time, as there was less and less energy available to spawn new titans, demons began absorbing energy from each other and what little was left in their surroundings. That's how they rise and fall in power, and why modern demons are much smaller than their ancestors.

Recently they've discovered that the emotions of mortals has the ability to feed their thirst for power. Specifically, strong emotions like fear and anger. And love -- though most demons are disgusted by love.

Female demons reproduce by forging a part of their power into a new being that they can control until the child matures. Sometimes the child forges itself like the first demons once did, and tear their way out of their mother's body.
