The fridge page going to be long.

I'll try to help, then... Me isn't that good at fridge tho. Maybe we could skim through the forum's pages to find stuff?

Edit:

Claude can now get this.

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/PassThePopcorn.

Happens quite a lot, no? (Ex: Lorraine, Ruche and hammer anyone?)

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FunnyBackgroundEvent

This happens sometimes... I dunno if it's enough, but still.

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/PerpetualMolt

Lorraine?

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RunawayFiance?from=Main.RunawayFiancee

Maybe Yuta can get that, since it's also alien to sura? Dunno, your call.

Some stuff I made: All's here!

My profile on fanfiction.net is here.

Check Kubera out if you don't know it!

Because it's fun to see Leez dying inside and outside all over the place it's a story of romance, psychology and humor. And horror. A little.

Doesn't Yuta already have the black blood trope already? We can put it for sura in general but it'd be a bit redundant to mention his twice. Other ones look good though.

I think only chaos sura have black blood? the gandharva nástika&raksasha suras killed first in taraka's attack had blue/violet blood.

Yeah, Yuta and other chaos sura have black blood, but since the other clans have a variety of different blood colors they would arguably qualify for the alien blood trope.

Further links to the page by posting examples on other trope pages would be ideal (kudos to everyone who has already been doing that btw).

As for Alien Blood, best to check whether this trope already appears under the entry for sura in general.

BTW, we might want to consider splitting some of the entries for sura depending on their specific clan attributes in the future if the page becomes long enough (see individual pages for houses in ASOIAF for an example).

Also, might want to consider adding Ravana, given that based on what was explicitly revealed and what was given by Currygom, we known that the following applies: Alpha Bitch, Jerkass, Bullying a (Literal) Dragon, Wounded Gazelle Gambit, Manipulative Bitch (to Asura), Smug Snake. I considered Small Name, Big Ego and Boisterous Weakling, but Ravana isn't so much weak and all that small a name due to being the Asura clan's second.

Kinnara is another candidate given what little we know of her (World's Most Beautiful Woman (along with the other two candidates), and whatever tropes apply to her relationship with Vritra).

Those without lives are welcome to scroll through general trope lists on the site just to tick off whatever might apply to the series and its characters.

I've been thinking of splitting the character page for a long time. It would be by realm though, so there would be four pages: main characters, human realm, sura realm, and god realm. That seems like the simplest way to do it.

That sounds like a pretty good way to go about it, although it would be easier to justify once the character trope entries get long enough.

Also, I just remembered the Brick Joke surrounding Ran and the Kalibloom magician at the guild whose glasses he borrowed while promising to get her a new, better pair. Several chapters later, we get a funny background event that shows her trying on her new glasses (better yet, Currygom doesn't really call attention to it).

For an example of how sura clans can get their own tropes, we have the Gandharva clan (Making A Splash, An Ice Person, Weaksauce Weakness (the whole deal with the fumes in the sura realm)), the Asura clan (their rapid breeding and how it feeds into Quantity Over Quality, the tendency toward sexless offspring), and the Kinnara (Team Switzerland (arguably subverted)).

We should probably put Ravana on the page for The Finite, since he doesn't actually appear in the comic proper. Actually, I don't even remember him being mentioned in the webtoon, so it'd be a little bizarre to have him on there.

Should we put an OvershadowedByAwesome on kasak? Equivalent 5 stage rakshasa, then abused by maruna, implied to be weaker than yuta, and now samphati XD

I'm italian, so please excuse me if my english is not very good, feel free to correct me.

He does get his chance to shine against Sagara's crew in Atera though... If anything, Leez should get it; she's stronger than a pureblood human should be but is consistently outshined by her companions: Asha, the genius with ridiculously high DA, Yuta, the Rakshasa, and Ran, the AA candidate.

I finally got the 'click to show image' for Yuta's third stage to work right, and added one for Brilith post-"The Night it Rained Fire".

Most of the characters have a satisfactory number of tropes under then, so we should start working on something else. I'm thinking we should start the Fridge page and split up the character page, but which one should we do first?

I vote for fridge... Character page is good enough, I think. No rush with that, scrolling down is bearable.

Fridge:

  • Why was God!Kubera's popcorn "organic popcorn? Because his transcendental "Bountiful Earth" can provide him with any plant/fruit/mineral! How handy is that?

Oh, and Leez can get that if she doesn't yet, no?

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ConvenientlyAnOrphan

Shower scene of Leez (the one right after they meet Yuta) has this, too: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SceneryCensor

Currigom even said the vapor was a voluntary one, because Leez looked too... Hmm... otherwise.

Ran and Rana: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ThemeNaming

Edit: Clophe and Cloche, can get it, too. Or one of these tropes.

And Cloche can get this: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/GratuitousFrench because "Cloche" is the french for "Bell".

Edit: Riche and Ruche can get it, too. Riche means rich and Ruche means beehive.

And I confirm, from french POV, everything sounds cooler in english. Even from french bilingual 14-years-old girl's POV.

Edit:

Some stuff I found that have to be rectified:

  • Ran gets AA upon arriving to Eloth, not Aeroplateau
  • + Something needs to get added, since he's not locked out of the loop anymore... Subversion?
  • Brilith's hair didn't get burnt off, it rotted  because of Sagara's transcendental. Yuk.
  • Airi: Clophe is 3rd stage, not fourth.
  • Sagara's Hero killer: Not twice, three times. She squashed Leez into a wall, remember? Cue Self-regeneration. She has a malediction.
  • Maruna doesn't always keep his wings in human form, at least in 4th stage.

As of this chapter, Leda can get this: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/NiceJobBreakingItHero
Or, this: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/PoorCommunicationKills
This, but subverted due to Leda jumping the gun: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BreakingBadNewsGently
Depending on how Leez acts in the coming chapters, possibly this: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CynicismCatalyst

Added a bunch of characters, but for now they're commented out because they need images and tropes.

I really want to split the character page, but since TV Tropes updated the website layout they accidentally got rid of the box where you set the page type.....

Has anyone considered adding a Timeline page using the lists of events that have already been compiled?

I don't know about a timeline page, but a recap page would be doable. The ToG page has one that goes by arc, which shouldn't be too difficult for us since pretty much all we'd have to do is condense the summaries on the wiki.

Looking back on earlier chapters, the series is even trope-heavier than I originally thought. The deconstruction section could even get a few lines at the very least:

-Plucky Girl: As can be seen, Leez's pluckiness is nothing more than a mask to hide her growing feelings of emptiness and her Broken Bird nature.

- Another set of tropes to deconstruct is that of the Everyman type protagonist who needs things explained to them for the audience's convenience. Because she was raised ignorant of many things, Leez is thus viewed as an ignorant hick or just plain stupid when being uneducated was a plot point in her past, enforcing the trope.

-Her living away from the world and growing up ignorant is another plot point. Rather than simply being a Hidden Elf Village, it probably falls into whatever sinister Small Town With a Dark Secret/Stepford Village tropes are available due to most of the villagers possibly having never existed in the normal sense by Leez's last birthday there, as well as having been so remote in order to keep Leez hidden for whatever set of reasons.

We really need a better summary for the page for The Finite... it's a bit bare bones at the moment. More tropes would also be appreciated.
