Thread to discuss which tropes belong to the series and each character.

Adding right now: Kasak.  

 

There was a trope related to helping people and not being properly thanked for it, which one was it?

I feel it belongs to Kasak, considering no matter how many people he saves, he's still reminded of what he did 15 years ago, even when it wasn't his fault.

Considering that this series practically deconstructs the typical Shounen style of story-telling, you could pull up a bunch of those sorts of tropes and list them as subverted, averted, inverted, and (on occasion) played straight. Considering that Kubera is more of a tragic-mystery more than anything, a great amount of listed examples for tropes are gunna be spoilers (I would guess). Other things to 'consider' (beside my overuse of the word), would be to update the other trope subpages (Heartwarmers/Tearjerkers/NightmareFuel/etc.). Also, putting some reviews in the Review subpage would be a good touch (shouldn't need to start from scratch, just get permission to copy-paste ones from here/elsewhere).

I had so much laughs with this one though. That's so true.

 

Tempting Fate: Sagara can't catch a break with this. First she confidently says that no matter how angry he is at her, Gandharva isn't a threat because he can't take sura form in the human world. Cue her second in command asking if she's sure about that, as she points to the giant sura-form Gandhavra looming right behind her. Then, apparently having not learned her lesson, she says that it's fine, Gandharva is certainly too weak to use any of his unique transcendentals, which he immediately proceeds to do.

we could put all the tropes of the elemental powers to suras/gods/mages. For example gandharva should have "an ice person" and agni "Playing with Fire"

I think right now we're concentrating on the character page, since that's what is in most need of additions and updates.

That said, if you guys want to make additions elsewhere like on the main page, feel free to make an account and add them yourself!

Nope, that one was there for a looong time. 

I only added some, to the ones I added an image or created it. 

Kinda wanna finish images then focus on each character. There are some I'm struggling to identify.

Double post, but. Hadn't realized you cannot "show" a profile, unless there is one trope. 

So, I need help with tropes for

Clophe, Cloche, Pingara, Laila and Agwen.

No, they were hidden, dunno if it was auto or by someone else. 

They cannot be shown, unless you add a trope to them.

Yeah. I can't remember tropes by name, so I'll mention some stuff:

With Sierra -> He's always complaining, there was a trope of that, right?

And he's also very thin (bones almost showing) and tall, there was one for that too @_@.

 

For Lorraine -> Avoiding job and responsabilities. 

 

Cloche -> Also complains a lot. She was called out on that one, right?

 

Clophe -> Only speks to his sister. 

 

Pingara -> Shock and awe 

 

Lenny->???

 

Shess -> i think it was man in pink? And the one "kids love him". And one trauma related @_________@. Oh, vegetarian, too.

I'm working my way through adding images for the characters. I also updated the images for the four main characters to clearer/more recent pictures.

 

I'm a bit stumped as to what to do with Yuta, however. I kept his picture as one from second stage, but I feel like we should add in an image of his third stage as well. I think there's a way to add another image that you have to click to see, but I'm not sure how to do it... What do you guys think?

FINALLY GOT IT TO WORK! Now you can click the caption under Yuta's image to see his third stage picture.
