Personality:

Jansen is a no-nonsense kind of guy. His time in TRIBE and as Ronin instilled in him a strict sense of duty to the military. He puts the success of the mission above all else, including the lives of his allies or himself. While not sadistic, his time on the battlefield has left him with a taste for combat. Jansen gets excited over the prospect of a challenging opponent, and is disappointed when the mission requires him to avoid such an encounter.

 

Off the battlefield, Jansen is calm, serious, and polite, though he avoids too much interaction with others. Jansen has difficulty relaxing for long periods of time, and does not understand how civilians can live such a leisurely, undisciplined life. His lack of personal time has left him with essentially no hobbies or liking of specific activities. Jansen dislikes sweets, except for fruits which he has no opinion on, and prefers bitter or spicy flavors. Jansen prefers minimalist, simple designs over anything fancy, and keeps a clean house.

 

Biography:

Jansen Valentine(real name unknown) was originally JV44, one of a hundred orphans used in a human engineering project by TRIBE, a secretive military testing facility that is long since lost. The project's goal was to create super soldiers by subjecting children to biological augmentation and advanced military training to enhance the test subjects' physical capabilities and combat abilities. Jansen was pulled into the program at the age of 6, the preferred age range for TRIBE test subjects. Of the hundred children used 27 died from the augmentation, while another 13 died from the training, leaving a batch of 60 "super soldiers". At the age of 16, the scientists of TRIBE noticed signs of advanced aging in the subjects. They had graying hair, unusually pale skin, and organs that upon biopsy looked to be that of a 30 year old's. It would seem as though the experiment did produce superior soldiers, but also shortened the life span of the subjects greatly. Because of this, the project was deemed an overall failure. TRIBE decided to break the subjects into ten six man teams and use them as surgical suicide strike squads, as to both dispose of their failure and make the most use out of them. They were given the code name "Ronin" and handed over to the special operations section of the military. 

 

While they were rapidly aging the Ronin were still resilient in completing their missions, lasting a total of 8 years. At the age of twenty four Jansen was one of four surviving Ronin, still known as JV44. It was then that the Ronin were officially disbanded and erased from all records. Jansen was noticed as being a candidate for a second heart. Jansen survived the implant, and thanks to the effects of it had his aging stopped altogether. Jansen then took his name "Jansen Valentine" as he was no longer a Ronin of the TRIBE facility, and as such needed a name to be called by. TRIBE was later destroyed in an Estranger onslaught.

[1][A]Wakizashi: Jansen Generates a sword that is about two and a half feet long from his palm that he can use to fight. The more HGE he puts into it, the more swords he can generate.

Personality:

He can be best described as a mute, though he is able to speak, he chooses not to. Unless encouraged to be a certain situation, he speaks very little and resorts to expressing things through body language and facial expressions. He usually comes off as cold and detached sometimes. Canaan also keeps his emotions in check and maintains a fearless attitude.

 

Biography:

Canaan is an imposing figure, standing at 6'7 with strange looking eyes that gives off a bit of an intimidating vibe, which adds to the fact that he hardly speaks at all. There is very little he's able to remember before the time he chose to become an anima. He could recall images of what he assumed his parents to look like but nothing about the kind of people they were or the things they done. However, one of the things he's able to recall from that time, was what made him choose to this life and it was quite a simple one. Well, It's not exactly an recollection as was it an excuse to become one. To him, he thought it was rather irritating to simply hide away and do nothing as everyone cowered in fear of the 'beasts' that drove them to these lengths. He didn't volunteer to become one of 'them' just to simply 'save' humanity, be a hero or do it out of self-satisfaction or whatever, but to simply fight and give meaning to his existance.

 

Whether his lack of memories is a blessing or a curse, it doesn't hold any importance to him. No matter what happened in his past, he has made no effort to recall anything, he simply doesn't care. Given his reluctance to speak at great lengths, some have questioned his claims of not remembering his pre-anima life and that he could possibly know more than he lets on. Nevertheless, with his appearance and the way he willingly throws himself into battle on the frontlines, especially the possessed look on his face during it, people tend to shy away from interacting with him. With his tall, imposing figure, his ability and the fact he's reluctant to speak, he was given the alias 'Titan', a nod to the estranger beast of the same name. Whether it was given to him out of insult or praise, Canaan never seemed to care about it. A name is a name and nothing more.

As in my above post, I'm a bit lost as to what my second heart skill should be. I'd like to keep the Juggernaut/Berserker theme and have a skill that focuses on his attacking power but I don't know how to praise is since Fay got rid of the Skills and what not along with the concept that we can overload our passives for a short time before being unable to do it for the rest of a fight, so it took the whole meaning behind my skill.

 

I also don't know what the cast time/cost should be. 2?

CP...It doesn't have nothing to do with stats does it?

 

Curious given the amount of CP some of the accepted people have and the the stat attributes they're given.

 

And since you said I'm now officially the strongest entry-level stat wise yet F-216 has a CP of 12 and others have higher stat totals than me. Since I have a total of 8 stat points and thats including the Origin bonus so I'm confused.

Oh, and what about the whole equipment deal?

Will my previous FS equipment, like my combat armor being equipped with an HGE battery that will absorb/store a certain amount of HGE (to be used in emergency situations) and my Specialized cloak that acts as an insulator?

 

Or are they a no-go in this installation?

F-216 and a few others are not considered entry-level anima. They're seasoned veteran that is deployed with you young ones XD

Anima under 15 years of age are considered 'junior', and their second heart is, more often than not, has not awaken.

And yes, CP is a combination of stats, skills, and traits. It's a rough estimate of how strong you are.

 

Currently the entry level ones are Canaan, Vici, Dio, and.. That's all? ._.

I am being too generous with the age, background, and bonus stats, I see

 

And traits are given on Jod's whims, so let's see what will you get XD

The equipment will be given to you in later stages, X. Starting the game with them is kinda cheating :3

So does that mean I'll have more 2-3 more stat points or nay? Just re-confirming so I understand it better.

Wasn't sure if such a CP level granted me additional points or not but since you haven't said as much, I'm guessing no.

 

Gotcha, figured as much, just wanted to see if I'd be able to get my original equipment back at some point.

 

But Canaan will be a badass and be a force to be reckoned with by all sooner or later!

By the way, with his juggernaut skill, how will the endurance/strength increase factor in battlewise? Since compatibility and the level of the skill is 3, does it increase might by 3 or something? Since you changed the system, im not sure what kind of increase Canaan will be able to expect, given the RP just started and he's a newish Anima (15 years and all).

Think of the Spartans from Halo, but less physically dominating with less extensive augmentation. The advanced aging is from the drugs used on them and the strain of the augmentation on with bodies. TRIBE was a military testing facility given a large amount of leeway, they were essentially created for experimenting with enhancing humans. Ronin was just codename for the survivors of the experiments. Like how a samurai who has no lord or was kicked out of his lord's domain became a ronin, the experiments were dropped from TRIBE as failures, but still had some use since they were high-performing, enhanced soldiers. They were just rapidly aging and would become physically incapable fighting within a decade or so. So they were forked over to the military as a shared asset(any branch could make use of them) to take on very high risk operations where casualties were guaranteed. Ronin aren't actually a thing, just an alias for the results of a failed experiment.

 

The TRIBE testing facility is long since gone in the war and not in anyway common knowledge. The Ronin were classified and need-to-know back when they actually existed, so now essentially no one would really know anything about them except for high ranking personnel who looked into it. They wouldn't get too much info about them, though.

ok fay can go into more detail about this later if need be but im just going to lightly point out kinda why we don't really want super soldier experiments apart from anima.

-the history is still the same as Falling Skies,

this TRIBE thing was before the fall of the Astrea and in a time were humans felt bad about even relying on these man made weapons from the past, we had become a soft species incapable of violence and were still adapting to war, hence we didn't have it in us to experiment on our own kind, this was until the fall of the Astrea where we became desperate enough to try and recreate anima.

so no secret facilities popped up till... well... eights was created... coincidence? maybe, maybe not...
