Welcome to Shattered Skies, a reboot of the Falling Skies RP. Here, you will play as an Anima, a biological weapon created from living humans to combat their greatest enemy: Etrangers. You might be a noble once, or you might be a street urchin; none of that matters. For you are now standing on an equal footing: as the personifications of humanity's vengeance - an Anima.

 

Premise:

Humanity is currently at it's last leg against the Etrangers. Of the initial 62 military bases and towns they had managed to establish, only 12 are still functional. One of the three remaining greater city, Feldine, is currently under siege. You will be starting as city guards preserving the inner sanctum of what was once called the 'Castle of Science'.

Ranged Attack: Kusanagi, God Slayer [S] - The God Slayer slash has incredibly range. Though it has such powerful range and cutting power, it is only suited for striking at weak points.

Melee Attack: HGE Masamune [P] - His normal katana the Masamune, surviving from before the Etrangers invasion thanks to his master, now modified to fight Etrangers after it broke fighting the first one. The HGE Masamune has an edge of high speed HGE circulation like a fine chainsaw. Though it uses HGE, it does not require any kind of source, due to a small changeable HGE core that can change it's properties. Without the core, it is merely a normal sword.

Second Heart Skills:

Kusanagi - Haseo's second heart ability is called the Kusanagi, the God Slaying Sword. It gives him access to the God Slayer technique, allowing him to slice targets from incredible range, and with supernatural razor sharp precision. The slashes are proven to be sharp enough to slash through inches of most materials with ease, though it appears the MGT statistic affects how easily it pieces the hides and armor of Etrangers, thus it is far better suited for taking advantage of weak points.

Yasakani no Magatama - The efficient flow of HGE goes through his body alongside his blood, and even aids his other bodily functions, allowing him to suffer less from wounds. The HGE flow also gives him enhanced Finesse by a small margin.

Yata no Kagami - The most advanced move Haseo's Second Heart is capable of. It will create a HGE phantom behind him that will guard or attack alongside him, making him incredibly capable of fighting a large number of opponents, or even completely destroy one. He can only safely use it once in awhile, and not even for very long.

Personality

Cold and impassive. She likes following orders only if they involve wholesale slaughter and war. Can be easily considered a war-monger, her personality changes on the battlefield to that of a berserker. Putting herself in extreme risk to reap the maximum satisfaction from killing the Ets.
 

Biography:

A botched project or a work of a madman, no one will ever know about the origins of F-216 because her dossiers and past is buried with the debris of Fiori, a city known more for its mad scientists than anything of value. Of the countless orphans that scampered its underbelly, it is believed that F-216 was one of the guinea pigs for the Fei gene research. Certainly, no one would have willingly agreed to give themselves to such things thus orphans were the obvious choice.

 

Many have speculated about her name and all the guesses more or less hold equal weight because of her silence. She is not known to interact with people outside of the battlefield and even then, those that she talks to are very rare. Her cold aura further alienates others from approaching her as does her rampant bloodlust.

 

There have been rumors about her heroics on the battlefield and with each mission she grows more distant, a mystique shrouding her reclusive presence and her legend cemented by the brutality that unfolds from the scenes she had been on.

• [3][P] Red Queen [0/0]{1/1 ~when blade manipulation is used~}: By managing the HGE flow within her swords, she is able to change the shape and size of them at will, giving rise to varying attack patterns that cover for whatever chinks she may have in her armor. Her fighting style involves majestic and improbable maneuvers coupled with complex timing and great flexibility.

Traits:

• Death Knight - You seek death. While others fight to survive, you fight to find a proper place and scenario to die. You know no fear, be it for the better or the worse.
• Loner - You shun others. Strength in numbers is an alien concept to you. You are a gear that does not fit, and therefore your presence alone bring discomfort to your teammates. It doesn't matter though, for the only person you need is you and yourself alone.

Second Heart: The Virtual Plague.

 

The Virtual Plague allows Clarisse to enter inside machinery and people by creating black cords from her body that allows a "link"  with the target. These Black Threads allow Clarisse to directly control the Machinery, and gain any information from it with ease. If the Machine has an AI, Clarrise is able to corrupt it, and the Machine can still be influenced by her even if the Black threads are severed.

 

When Clarisse connects with a person, she is able to read their minds and cause some distortion (illusions, 5 senses to fail,  madness) for a short time. Clarisse can only connect with a single person at time, as multiple targets may shatter her own persona. The downfall of Clarisse's powers lays in the unstability of her mind when she is connected to machinery with AI and people themselves, the more time she remains connected, the more her mind will worn out.  Clarisse can also connect to dead bodies, but she can only get fragments of the memories that the person had 5 minutes before they were killed

 

The Black Cords from her body act likes tentacles that Clarisse can freely control.

This is the tale of a little girl and her Brave Knight.

There was once a little girl that lived happily with her Brave Knight, she was living in a Shiny Fortress.

She would smile when her Knight cooked for her.

She would smile when her Knight read with her.

She would smile when her Knight laughed.

She would smile even if her  Knight argued.

Yes, that little girl would always smile,  She was truly happy.

 

 

One unusual day, Demons entered her shining castle. Their big crimson eyes were staring at the little girl, with their big and grotesque claws.

The Knight stood in front of the Demons, he was protecting the little girl from them.

The Little girl's heart pounded  as her Brave Knight fought for her sake, She wanted her Brave Knight to win.

But the Demons proved themselves stronger, and defeated the Brave Knight.

As the Knight was laying unconcious, the Little Girl was crying out his name, but the demons didn't stop there.

The Demons grabbed the little girl as she desperately called for her Brave Knight, but there was no response.

 

 

 

The Demons tossed the Little girl in a dungeon.

As the Little girl looked around, there was nothing in that place, only darkness and silence. But she could distinguish crimson eyes that were staring at her in the end of the void.

She started to call out for her Brave Knight, but there was no response, there was only silence.

Eventually, the Little girl stood up and started to search for a way to return to her shining castle, the Crimson eyes were still staring at her.

She kept calling for her Brave Knight, but there was still no response.

Eventually, the Little girl found a ray of light in that sea of darkness. As she tried to approach it, she noticed she was being grabbed.

She turned around and there he was, her Brave Knight. He was standing there, staring at her with a smile.

The Little Girl with tears of joy in her face, asked her Brave Knight to come with her. But there was silence.

As the Little girl tried to grab the Brave Knight with her, she noticed that the Brave Knight was being held.

Multiple claws were grabbing the Brave Knight's feet, and behind his back the Little girl noticed dark silhouttes.

She couldn't distinguish anything from them, except those Crimson big eyes.

Those things were grabbing the Brave Knight, He was still staring at the Little girl with a smile on his face.

Those things were dragging the Brave Knight to that darkness, the little girl tried to pull him back, but she too was being dragged.

The Little girl cried as she tried to pull the Brave Knight, but she noticed something odd.

His face, the Brave Knights face was starting to lose its colors, it was starting to become white.

His Eyes were starting to lose their bright.

His hair was starting to decay.

His Arms were starting to crumble.

Desperate, she let go of her Brave Knight and hurried to where the light was.

As she appraoched the light, she started to notice that endless realm was ending.

As she felt her conciousness was fading away, she turned around once more.

The Dark silhouttes were dragging the Brave Knight with them to that darkness.

Its face was completely blank, it didn't have any colors, almost like an unfinished picture.

As the Little girl was losing her vision by that light, the Brave Knight was lost in that sea of darkness.

 

 

The Little girl woke up from her strange dream, she was inside a  Fortress.

The little girl was surrounded by multiple knights, their faces were blank.

One Knight grabbed the arm of the Little girl, but the Little girl was searching for someone else.

One Knight stood in front of her and checked her eyes,  but the Little girl was searching for someone else.

One Knight asked her questions, The Little girl didn't reply as she was searching for someone else.

Then laying in a corner, the Little girl found what was she looking for.

There were pieces scathered,  and below them there was an armor.

The Little girl touched the armor, suddenly the armor stood up in front of her.

It was her Brave Knight.

 

Suddenly, the other Knights changed to the form of demons, but the Little girl wasn't scared.

As the Demons approached the Little girl, her Brave Knight stood in front of them once more.

The Little girl's pounded as her Brave Knight fought for her sake, She wanted her Brave Knight to win.

As her Brave Knight fought the demons, the Little girl noticed another set of armor, this one smaller than the first.

The Little girl touched the armor once more, and it stood up, It was another Brave Knight.

 

The little girl then looked at the Demons, their form changed, they became more grotesque, but the Little girl wasn't scared, she had her Brave Knights protecting her. She would always have her Brave Knights protecting her.

 

Eventually, The Little girl escaped the Castle, her Brave Knights managed to protect her from the demons. Now the Little girl was alone in an open world, looking to reach her shining castle, but she knew her brave knights would return to her when needed.

 

In one of the trials to search the Shining castle, the Little girl crossed paths with a person, this person approached the little girl desperately and hugged her, but the little girl was confused, she didn't know who it was, all she saw was a knight with a blank face. But the Little girl wasn't scared, she called for her Brave Knight. Magically the Brave Knight appeared and stood in front of the faceless knight.

She would smile when her Brave Knight knocked out the Faceless Knight.

She would smile when her Brave Knight strangled the faceless knight as he desperately called for someone's name.

"D-R", an experiment made  by the  Council of Advacement, It's purpose was to create a natural-born Anima, with the purpose to strenghten the compatibility of William's second heart with the subject.  The subject's main supervisor was kyouma hououin, they were located in a closed off facility equiped with multiple machinery that would protect the experiment, and if needed, terminate the subject if it went out of control.

 

Initially records indicated stability of the subjects vital-signs and mental response. Big improvement of the subjects control over William's second heart,  showing even new capabilities that surpassed expectations. But as the subject gained more control over Williams Heart, it showed a drastic change to the way it interacted with the rest of the staff, even with its supervisor.

 

And then that incident happened.

 

Nothing is known to what made the subject to change its behavior, whether it was William's influence, or a third party, but it is unknown how and when the subject managed to extends its control over machines as well. By creating small extensions from its own body, it allowed the subject to manipulate all the machinery inside the building.  The Machines, being controlled eliminated all the staff that was involved with the project "D-R". The Main supervisor, kyouma hououin was missing months later after the incident.

 

The Experiment was stopped shortly after that, but the Subject still remains active, it's reasoning has been unpredictable, but it is know that the Subject, or rather "D-Reaper" has been participating in operations against the Etrangers.  Take extreme caution.

 

 

 

 

Equipment:

• The Arumat: A HGE Scythe

• A Magnum.

• Staff that Clarisse uses to empower her control over multiple machinery.

• Automatons: Clarisse's Main weaponry she brings to the battefield, with her Second Heart ability, she can easily form a link with the Black Cords, allowing her to control them perfectly. The Automatons can be used effectively against the Etranglers, as they possess quick reflexes that rivals the ones of a regular soldier. The Automatons possess 2 modes in battle. The First is directly linked with Clarisse's black cords, being synched with Clarisse's thoughts, allowing a perfect coordination between the 2. The Second is a Remote input by their AI, Clarisse can inject HGE directly to the Automaton, acting as battery fuel that allows the machine to act without being connected to Clarisse, this however, lasts until the HGE runs out from the Automaton, then the machine becomes completely emotionless. 

             Clarisse currently possess 2 Automatons:

1. Automaton Model D-A1 "Kyouma": The First Automaton Clarisse made a link with, and her favorite and strongest. This Automaton possess a giant HGE Rifle.

Age: 30
Frozen Age: 20
Gender: Male
Origin: Cairys Auferne

Personality:
Nero is a shy person. He takes a while to warm up to you and is picky about who he opens up to after that. He is not someone who thinks he higher or lower than anyone. He just doesn't know how to interact. Even 60 years after gaining his second heart, he still has trouble opening up to people.

Yet, when it comes to music, he is the star of the show. It is where he is most comfortable and relaxed. There is nothing more enjoyable than being able to share his talent with others and if you can feel the music the way he does, then you are by far already someone he treasures.

Biography:
Nero was an up and coming musical prodigy who enjoyed his craft. He would spend hours writing and composing music. However, the world was not in a place where he could bring enough happiness too enough people with his music. It was too full of tragedy to bring enough enjoyable music to the people. The world around was slowly beginning to influence his music and a spiral of sadness overcame his pen. Dirges soon became his method of expression. It was too much to tolerate. So at the age of 20, Nero put down his guitar and picked up a sword, figuratively.

Compatibility with Cairys's second heart gave Nero a similar power of the Weaver. He was able to create strings and weave them in and out. However, he was also capable of much more. He was more versatile than Cairys when it came to how to use his strings. Firstly, he was able to use the strings like playing a guitar to emit a sound from them. Second was that he could use the strings to move people's bodies as if he was a puppet. It was quite the feat however, the destructive power of his strings were not the same. An exchange for versatility was a loss in power. Though, do not assume you can just touch them and come out unscathed.

Now, Nero fights as both support and loner. He works well with others as well as alone because of how versatile he is using his Second Heart ability. Yet, most people enjoy Nero for his passion for music as he still creates music to this day. Mostly to keep himself from losing his mind amidst the war and bloodshed.

Traits:
Shy - when there isn't a guitar in your hands or a mic in front of you, it's hard to talk to others, even in dire situations. People are scary yah know
Soothing sounds- Whether its rock or something lighter you have a voice and talent with instruments that can sooth the souls of those of your allies and make them that little bit more cheerful.

Second Heart Skills:
Puppet Master: (1/3) Nero can attach invisible strings to another person(s)/beast(s). This allows him to control their movements, taking away their physical independence.


[Level 1] The Weaver Reincarnated [A] (1/1): His strings are laser sharp and he can weave them into different shapes and set them up as traps and etc. On top of that, he can use it to stitch things together, though he doesn't have healing properties, it is effective when closing wounds and the like.

[Level 1] String Armor [S] (2/1): His string surround him and create a defensive shield around his body. Light enough to move around in and hard enough to take damage. It helps when fighting in close quarters but it limits the versatility of this strings as he needs to maintain the armor in order for it to stay effective.

[Level 1] The Sound [A] (1/1) : Nero can use his strings, finally, to emit sounds. Sometimes it's high pitched and terrible. Other times it's beautiful and enjoyable. Either way, it is Nero's favorite manifestation of his powers.

@IS: quite a few things actually, IS. The CS format is already changed, as well as some of the mechanics.

We no longer have SP, and skills now fall under Second Heart ability. You may have more than one skill now, as long as you have the compatibility to support 'em.

@KDP: Maximum HGE output at any given time is determined by Might, but the amount of HGE you can safely use without your body breaking is determined by Compatibility.

And as for your CS, i don't think nero would be that old. His actual age should be closer to 30 than 80, imo. Old anima tends to be more emo than that, mainly because they've witnessed so many things. Death of comrades, being left bwhind by their families, surviving a close shave against death, all sort of things that will heavily scar your psyche.

It's just that in that 60 years you're fighting, humanity had lost 60% of their territory to the etrangers. Everyrime that happens you're bound to witness death: civilian devoured by etrangers, soldiers exploding themselves just to stall the ets enough so that others may live, kids left for dead , and other gruesome stuff. Experience that enough and i don't think you can stay happy-go-lucky.

My problem with your cs is that, in my eyes, you are just making him old for being old. It doesn't add to his character development. I'm limiting the amount of veteran anima in this rp, so unless you can give me a solid reason to be an anima for 60 years, i'll have to ask you to reduce your age

I said "the youngest possible frozen age is [Age minus 60]", which translates to "there shall be no player who spent more than 60 years of service as an Anima"

I do not ask everybody to become an Anima 60 years ago. On the contrary, I am restricting people from creating canonically impossible characters in terms of age.

Project Anima started 76 years ago, and I'm limiting players to only play as Anima who are created 60 years ago or younger.

 

I'm sorry if the wording is confusing .-.

 

 

As for the other parts, I don't see any problem with it. Stats are ok, Skills I will make a few adjustments:

Personality:
Eights is mad. Although she has an incredible capacity for intelligence it is squandered. Her decisions are irrational and she has a habit of changing her mind constantly for little to no reason at all. While she can be affable or even straight-up friendly she tends to have trouble making friends due to her egomania and paranoia. It is difficult to pin down a particular personality with her because her mind is in a constant state of change. The only constants in her life are her love for explosions and reptiles.

Biography:
Most of Eights's history is hidden away in official files. She tells each person who asks a different story, some wildly different from others. The only things that link the stories are as follows; in all of them Eights was the 8th Cetra made. Prior to her change she was a member of the research team. The reason for her insanity varies but was never due to her change but instead an event after the change.

It's believed her original name was Mary and that some time after her change she fell into depression and tried to commit suicide. Her method, self-immolation, failed as she regenerated almost as fast as the fire could burn. The pain drove her mad and left her a gibbering husk for some time. This theory is strengthened by the councils decision to give Anima candidates better therapy before and after the change.

Currently Eights splits time between military and research roles, or harassing people with her lizard. Despite her broken mind, her intelligence is still something respected.
