Okay, I don't have to explain much. Only that the comics have NOT to be manwhas, or mangas or whatever. But, I've read:

Berserk, Claymore, FullMeatl Alchemist, Bone, Sandman, Vagabond, Saga, HXH, Rurouni Kenshin, Attack on Titans, Nausicaa.

I want something as good as ToG, if possible, with a magnificent story, and a good world if possible.

BUT. I don't want generic fantasy worlds (too much by now), and I don't want much battles. You know, ToG, but I've read it and I don't know what to read now.

Thanks.

I don't really care for Kubera but The breaker, wake up deadman, Lessa, God of Highschool, the gamer, tokyo ghoul, and maybe TAL.

For me, the only comics that gave me the same wow effect as ToG have to be Wakeup Deadman, and Fisheye Placebo. Both are not generic fairytale settings, though both are not updated very often, which is kinda mind numbing. The Breaker and Lessa are also fantastic.

If Kubera is a no-go, then the new question becomes 'why?' -- you may not want to, but you'll have to be more specific than the bold.

Comics that I've thoroughly enjoyed that aren't TOG are enjoyable for different reasons, based on what I'm looking to read at the time: comedy, drama, action, characters, plot, art style, etc.  I suggest being more choosy about what you like, then using the advanced search feature here on Batoto according to your preference.  Filtering by rating can allow you to cut out a lot of the boilerplate.

There's no substitute for just trying out titles, and seeing if they strike your fancy.  One that won't be for everyone (being of josei genre, a monthly series, and scanlated on a 'flexible' timeline) but that I've liked as much as TOG, is Bokura no Kiseki.  And I never would have found it without Batoto's advanced search function.

I read all chapters of Kubera that are released, I think it's a good history, but that's it: good. For me it's not even close to ToG, but thats just my opinion.

A history that I think it's not really apreciated is http://vatoto.com/comic/_/comics/magician-r208, it has one of the best arts I have seen in a webtoon and the history is amazing .http://vatoto.com/comic/_/comics/the-ravages-of-time-r1920 and http://vatoto.com/comic/_/comics/kingdom-r642 are really good as well.

Well, if you want to read comics or webtoons with a good story and a good world or good ambientation, then my recommendations would be (in no specific order):
- A Fairytale for the Demon Lord: A webtoon with an impressive art, with no stereotypical characters, great plot twists a la TOG, and ambiented in a semi-futuristic world (similar to the mytological Asgard) where the magic and technology, normal people and nordic deities coexist all along in the same place.
- Hanged Doll: Another webtoon, but ambiented in a regular city in Korea (I forgot the name), with great twists, solid characters, perfect balance between comedy and drama, and can take you from happines to despair (or vice versa) in less than a second with only a one page, truly impressive.
- The Incal: A comic written by Jodorowsky and illustrated by the Moebius (Do I need say more?), A story full with magic things, esoteric topics and weird protagonists, ambiented in a futuristic metropolis (a mix between Blade Runner and Star Wars cities) where the goverment controls everything and everyone, but this is not the principal point of the story, but the development of each one of the characters and how they overcome (little by little) their more deepest fears.
There are other stories that complement this one (The Metabarons and The Technopriests) but I haven't read these ones, so I can't tell if they would suit you or not. Anyway they shouldn't be too different from The Incal style, as far I know.

There are other great stories that you would be interested, but they're mangas and you say that you only want recomendations of comics and webtoons, so I just put the ones that fit your requeriments. Although I don't understand why said such thing, though.

Fisheye Placebo is a relatively new webtoon I just stumbled upon that look VERY promising and the art is IMO the best I've ever seen out of all the webtoons I've viewed.

Okay, to all: I'm gonna fucking try Kubera another time. OK? OK. Really.

BUT. Say me a chapter that will me get hocked to the series (example, crown game in ToG).

Okay, I've read Fisheye Placebo, and yes, the art is very very very very very very very very good, but the story, is, for now, only promising, and the author doesn't update a lot.

Okay, thanks to those who introduced me A Fairy Tale (Nihil, your avatar is pretty fucked, and thanks SO VERY MUCH, Gizmos, for being the first). It is, for now, a magnificent comic.

Today, I've also discovered other two comics:  Deadman Wonderland (yay, Shiro, althrough I know the fina lbvvecause I have the horrible habit of seeing mangas I haven't read) and Monster, which is so awesome I can't describe it.

This has been a productive day. One thing more, you mantaray (I'M GOING TO READ KUBERA AGAIN. ARE YOU SATISFIED?), can we make this a thread for recommending comics for ToG lovers for all of us?.

Well, thanks to all (even the Kubera fanboys and fangirls; and don't you think I'm insulting you, I'm pretty fanboy of ToG) *goes read Fairytale*

When I see your list, specifically Berserk, Vagabond etc, I instinctively think Kingdom. Yes, it's historical, but don't let that put you off. It doesn't shove history down your throat, you don't have to have a Phd in the targeted period to know and understand what's going on, and, above all, it's absolutely epic. The wars? Epic, so, so epic. The wars incorporate great battles, ever improving art, amazing strategies and tactics, and almost all of the characters are likeable. You might think it would be boring and lack progression because the good majority of it is fighting, but the thing is, while a lot of other Manga/Manhwa treat fights as something that's part of the story, in Kingdom the fights are the story.

The God of Higschool has great art, and absolutely amazing action (I like to call it execution porn, because it's just that), but it's story is pretty linear for the most part.

I also like Civilisation Blaster (Zetsuen no Tempest), the beginning is really trippy (Mysterious and twisty), which I think is great, although it does slow down a bit later.

I feel as if I'm missing something from my list, something pretty important, I just can't place it. z.z

Kubera is more like a novel than a comic. There is not a chapter that will hook you. Even less if what hooked you in tog was crown game. There are very few fights in kubera. What you should appreciate in kubera is the superb introspection of the characters, the complex plot and world, and the tragedy of some characters.
