I've seen the relay essays here, similar concept. But I thought this would be a bit more fun.

 

There are two characters. Boy A and Girl B. Everything else is up in the air.

 

Here are the rules:

1. Odd-numbered posts must act as Boy A. Even-numbered posts must act as Girl B.

2. You can have 3 sections in your post. Each piece is optional, but you must have at least one of these. You don't have to use the markers, but you might want to for differentiating pieces.

      a. Thought (monologue, musing, random thoughts, inner reactions, etc) italicized

      b. Action <in angle brackets>

      c. Dialogue "quotes"

3. You can only act as either Boy A or Girl B. Feel free to add other characters, but they must be mentioned from the perspective of the two characters.

 

And some guidelines:

1. You don't have to necessarily be consistent with everyone else, but try to keep in mind at least the context of the post above you.

2. Try to keep posts short and possibly open. We don't want to impede pacing with events that are complicated to get around or with blocks of text that stretch the entire page.

 

Will they fall in love? Will they become friends? Will they meet with tragedy? Will they part and never see each other again?

EDIT: Trying to keep track of progress, hope I'm getting things right. PM me if I'm not.

 

CURRENTLY AT: Somewhere near a donut shop.

 

- Boy A and Girl B meet.

- Boy A releases some massive farts.

- Girl B tries to be understanding and play it cool.

- Sirens are heard and Girl B is acting a little suspicious.

- Boy A jumps out the window to save face from farting and lands on a couple, breaking their spines.

- Girl B runs out of class after him.

- Boy A tries to justify his escape by assuming that Girl B is a bloodthirsty criminal.

- Girl B catches up to Boy A, scaring a pedestrian that was talking to Boy A.

- Boy A has second thoughts about Girl B being a criminal, but ducks into an alley anyways.

- Girl B wonders if Boy A is being chased by someone, perhaps a molester. Screams about a fire to get other people's attention.

- Frightened by the sign of fire, Boy A backtracks and bumps into Girl B, sees cops behind her, and immediately orders them to arrest her.

- Girl B smacks some sense into Boy A, then offers to treat his leg at her house.

 

 

START

 

The new quarter's started and I have a new neighbor in class.

Her name is Girl B.
