I'm not too worried about translation quality, simply because if Naver lets us down like that they will face a HORDE of rabid foreign fans, and they'll have to hire a better translator just to figure out all the different ways we're cussing them out. XD
Maybe. It is hard enough to show support for something while simultaneously demanding it get better with established things, much less something new:
If they Google translate it and it predictably flops, they could just assume it is because the interest isn't there rather than an understandable objection to being expected to swallow sub-par quality.
If they Google translate it and it succeeds because people want to support it regardless (or just don't care about quality which a lot of people don't), then they'll have no motive to do a better job which takes more time and money.
The absolute best case scenario would be for them to provide a quality product and start from the newest chapters (or at least the latest fan translations in the case of something like Cheese in the Trap) while simultaneously going back and re-translating the old. If they start from the beginning, I wouldn't be surprised to see them drop the project due to a lack of interest because people aren't willing to wait for them to catch up.
