Name: Shisou Nanaya

Gender: Male

Age: 18

 

Appearance: 5'10'', normal build. Black hair, has heterochromia (left eye purple, right eye black). Usually wears school uniform even on free days. Usually has pen knife in uniform's pocket. Uses a "VII"-stylized hairpin (not a girly one, the cool one)

 

Personality: Mysteriously cunning. Does things mostly at whim or when it would be to his advantage. Calm and collected, even when in peril. Quickly adapts to any situation and takes the most efficient action, will sometimes to resort to risky attempts if it would seem like fun. Shows kindness to strangers and close friends. Detaches himself from friends, not really sharing much of his true thoughts and the like. Unknown if he has multiple personality disorder, or is just fond of putting up facades. Likes riichi mahjong, chocolate, and katanas.

 

History: Son of a rich and prestigious family in Japan. He grew up studying in an average school in the locality and was always cared for by his maid. His maid taught him kendo, and riichi mahjong in which he grew fond of and practiced everyday. Being in a prestigious family means that he has experienced the luxuries of life, and therefore a lot of his classmates in his average were jealous of him but there was a certain few whose jealousy crossed over the bounds. He was then constantly being bullied by 3 students, but he never showed any sign of caring at all and just tried to hide the bruises from his family and friends and just kept up with his life like nothing happened. The maid noticed his bruises but he asked him not to tell his family and just keep it a secret for which the maid complied.

 

After 1 month after the start of the bullying, a tragedy happened. Although he showed that he didn't care at all, he was deeply hurt and had enough of the bullying. This tragedy resulted in 1 bully being dead, while the other 2 seriously injured and hospitalized. The case was publicized and of course, his family was disappointed and humiliated. When Shisou was asked to account for what happened, he just frighteningly replied "I don't know, I just defended myself." This fear came from the fact that he knew, that he was smiling then while he defended himself from the bullies, from cutting them up with a knife. Was it a smile for he was free of his tormentors? Or for the fact that he enjoyed cutting the bullies up? But this was just the least of his problems, because right now he was being kept in his room, for his family was deciding what to do with him. He just stayed in his room for seven nights and afterwhich, a decision was made. His family can't bear the humiliation so they decided to say that Shisou was just adopted and not of royal blood, and he was to be sent off to another country for this matter. He was then cut off from his family, but he was given enough money for a year. Before he left his homeland, his maid who has served him from when he was young, approached him and handed him a letter and dice "I have a friend who lives in Aldo, I'm sure her family will take care of you. And also I got you this dice! The vendor told me that it'll bring you good luck, young master. I hope you'll do well out there."

 

Upon reaching Aldo, he went to the destination indicated by his maid in the letter and proceeded to the Ia family's house. Good thing they agreed upon taking care of him when he showed them the maid's letter. So right now, the Ia family is his family, he now has a father, a mother and a little sister. When asked if he would like to change his name to Shisou Ia, he declined and replied that he would prefer to take the name "Nanaya", to constantly remind him of the seven nights of soltitude.

 

A few years have passed, Shisou is attending the school/university, just living life normally and occasionally visits the kendo or riichi mahjong club.

Name: Daria Smirnoff

Gender: Female

Age: 21

Appearance: A petite girl with Euro-Asian features. About 5'2 in height with dark brown eyes. She has wild chin-length hair that borders on black. The shadows under her eyes give her the appearance of a sleepless junkie, but rest assured, she's a good girl. Just don't hurt her.

Personality: Daria is a bit of a daydreamer. She can usually be found in the park or in a cafe, staring in the distance or up in the sky, waiting for god knows what. Some people are put off by her odd nature, which vacillates from total silence to overt frankness depending on her current view of the situation. It usually tends to be the latter.

Despite her docile countenance Daria enjoys competition of the physical kind, a fight being the only time her mind doesn't go wandering off. The girl sure knows how to take a hit. The kickboxer's signature knockouts have brought the university lots of medals and trophies. The violent pastime is perfect for her latent sadism, one that only reveals itself when she is excited or under severe mental or physical fatigue.

Outside of the ring, she doesn't really look or act like a fighter at all. She loves dogs and works part-time in a pet shop, helping the owner raise Husky and Shiba Inu puppies. The girl's a sucker for furry little critters.

History:

Daria grew up by the harbor. Her father was an honest fisherman while her mother worked in New Aldo as a broker for one of the shareholder firms there. Though the family had enough money to move to one of New Aldo's high rise apartments, they decided to open up a small seafood restaurant serving authentic country-style seafood dishes.

This peaceful life did not suit Daria at all. She grew restless and found the constant stench of fish quite grating. As soon as she passed the entrance exam for St. Helen's University, Daria packed her bags and left. Her parents didn't let her go without a fight though and they have made it clear that they expect her to return and continue the family business. She dreads graduation day and is currently taking as few units as possible without dropping out to lengthen her stay.

Not much, just read the general rules and the current RP rules and you should be fine. My take on the manhwa is a bit simpler. I am not giving much room to your budding creativity, you play within the system I provide and that is about it.

 

It is a quest based RP and I am the taskmaster for all characters.

@Athernil: Sorry mate, I don't know how I missed it but you gotta a change a wee bit in your character history. Magnussen Wildlife Reserve is in-charge of a group of care-takers with the post of Mayor as its owner. So maybe you can re-word it as a former mayor or even better one of the original stakeholder families when the wildlife reserve started. This does give you a special privilege to go roam in the reserve by yourself which isn't allowed to other peeps. sorry was re-reading all bios and checked it now.

Haven't been here in forever, but I'm glad to see someone's taken over GMship of this RP ^^ I'll have a character ready within 24 hours. While I'm thinking about that, a question; as I understand Physical Fortitude, Toughness, & Stamina divide up physical abilities nicely into effectiveness, durability, & fuel economy. If that's correct, would it be acceptable to boost the power of one's senses, for example gaining telescopic vision by putting 50+ points into PF (Eyes)?

The best thing for someone new to RPs is to just skim through one. Pick another RP on this site & just see what sorts of things people talk about in their posts & in the OOC thread, about how long they go between posts, how strictly or laxly people observe the rules. That was how I taught myself, back in the day
