[Diabolical Rhapsody]

Demons are cool.  Just try not to make her too powerful or else I'd have to make equally strong enemies and then the poor city would have to suffer the consequences of such battles.

Yeah, I know that, I have made demons before. So don't worry about me going overboard. They will be within the confines like myriad other characters spawned, even if they are more powerful in other domains.

well due to popular media depiction, Demons are the first few entries that spawn in mind when we think supernatural.

 

Others being magi, Vamps and Werewolves.

Name:  Flynn Walker

Age:  28

Gender:  Male

Race:  Elven

 

Background:

 

The Walker family is a prestigious family of elves, who were known for being strict, haughty, and cruel. Within the family there are many mages who are known for their superb intellect and talent. This trait is shared among most of the members of the Walker family, and Flynn is no exception. However he was always different when compared to most of his kinsman. Ever since Flynn was a boy he loved putting a smile on the faces of people he met, and helping others in need. This weird personality led to him becoming the favourite child of his father, the current head of the Walker family. The normally cold and unwelcoming Decimus Walker always had a soft spot for his son’s unpredictability and quirkiness.

 

Flynn Walker’s love for helping people and his natural talent for magic led him to becoming a Private Investigator. With the some of his own personal wealth, the young elf decided to open his own magic store that doubles as a sort of headquarters where he started to accept cases from many of the inhabitants within town. Flynn decided to name his place of business the “The Floating Frog” as a tribute to his pet and partner, Hopkins.

 

Over the years, Flynn Walker has made many friends and connections within New Breton through his work as a Private Investigator. He looks to them for help whenever he needs it, which isn’t too often, but most of the time they do come in handy. These days Flynn can be found floating around somewhere waiting for his next investigation.

 

Relationships:

The Walker Family - Flynn’s very own family. Whenever he find himself in a spot of trouble he looks to his father and the family for resources, guidance, and sometimes money.

 

Private Investigators and Bounty Hunters - Flynn has been known to work with many detectives and bounty hunters in order to pay back the favors that he owes them from previous experiences.

 

Hopkins - Flynn’s partner in crime. Hopkins can always be seen either in the elf’s front pocket or floating by his side due to Flynn’s levitation magic.

 

Special Skills:

Magic Man - Since his toddler days Flynn was taught a variety of magic and spells, but he is the most talented in Illusion and Levitation magic. Most of the time he can be found hovering about.

 

Elven Intelligence - Because of his natural intellect due to his Elven blood he is much more perceptive and astute than most. This greatly helps Flynn in his line of work.

Name:  Baphomet, though most just call her Lil B

Age:  It's been about 200 years since she's had a solid body.

Gender:  Baphomet. If you don’t know what that means, just call it female, it’s technically not wrong.

Race:  Pagan Diety

 

Background:  Baphomet’s tale, screwed up a lot by history is actually fairly short. She came about when enough women in the Middle Ages took to trying to learn magic for their collective belief to give her form. From there she went about keeping her worshippers by being a very proactive deity and teaching her followers all about magic. Of course then the Churches had to go throw a hissy fit and brand her the Devil. Really, people have no idea how insulting it is to be referred to as a devil who got grounded by its father for life.

 

All was well and good really except that with the constant referrals to being the devil and all of said witch hunts did a number on her worshippers and being a deity who came into being purely based on belief…well let’s just say that there’s a reason that idiots were able to get away with a lot of their stunts involving her without experiencing some heavy duty divine retribution. Although she did spend a few years hanging out with various being in the Limbo of not having enough faith to be perceived by people. Charon's really a swell guy once he gets to finally take a break.

 

She kept up her socialising until the upsurge in Witchcraft in the 20^th century when people started taking an interest in the forms of Witchcraft (mainly by trying to make crap potions but she wasn't picky about her faith). Mainly, it was enough for her to wake up from her semi-slumber, and after cutting a deal with a desperate kid, getting herself a solid body. Her first act in that state was some payback. How? Well when you have a child sized deity and a bunch of priests who are under enforced chastity, well its not that hard to tempt people into doing things that others will not approve of with someone of her figure.

 

She now spends her time not causing scandals in New Brenton, socializing with the supernatural side of things, teaching magic to prospective witches, teaching them how to avoid getting burned at the stake and other painful things, and running a small brewery/bar that devils and angels and the like tend to frequent. The no fighting rule is heavily enforced; the angels and devils don’t want the extra work and Baphomet hates having to clean up the messes.

The general theory amongst the other divinity is that she looks like a kid because technically, she is still a young god and she’ll grow up as she gets into the groove of things. Like gaining any significant divine power.

 

Relationships:  The whole divinity line - Most demons, elder gods, devils, gods and the like know who she is and she’s on reasonable terms with most of them. Except the Christian god for obvious reasons. It helps that she’s the best brewer in the city; there’s a reason witches are known for their potions and after a long day of work, having a place to get plastered where the owner will make sure you get back home is never a bad thing.

Special Skills:  She may the source of witchcraft and potions and all but far and away, her greatest skill is that she’s a pretty laid back god that for various reasons, has a lot of friends who like her alive. And never doubt how many things can be resolved by talking things out over a good beer.

 

That said, she literally invented potion brewing that actually does something besides poison people. Her brewing skills are pretty top-notch and she might sell a few specific potions given enough incentive.

Sooo yeah, WIP CS here, don't mind me.

 

'Cause i'm unoriginal, totally reusing the name of a character that never got fully realized..

 

Is a dragon okay? I picked dragon whelp, because I imagine 78 years is actually very young for a dragon. Thus, being a dragon young-ling, he doesn't really know how to use his abilities. I figure at most he'd be able to spit a small amount of corrosive acid. (In my mind, green dragon = poison/acid. Thank Warcraft 3 for that one) The most dangerous thing about Frey would be increased strength and endurance, since his dragon abilities have yet to really manifest.

 

If you would rather not dip into the dragon-ish area of things, that is fine as well, I can just as easily change it up and go the Human route, if you'd prefer.

 

History will be pending until GM passes judgement on the whole "dragon" thing.

Dragon Physiology -- Frey has an exceptional ability to take hits, though this is mostly due to his heritage as a dragon. Even with the hard to penetrate scales of a dragon, It's important to note that Frey is still very young, so his defenses are significantly weaker in comparison to older/adult dragons. Like his endurance, Frey has uncommon physical strength; is able to inflict severe damage using simple strength. However, his strength is limited, as with his endurance, by his young age.

 

Ancient Curiosity -- Frey who is often looked down on by the elder dragons due to a general lack of experience has decided to learn as much as possible about the other races, cultures, and other such things that inhabit the strange town of New Brenton

You can have as much as you need so long as it doesn't get silly as makes sense with your backstory.
