In my humble opinion the only reason an author / editor would make such a side story is, to ridicule (perhaps ridicule is too hard of a word but well... my personal feelings jumped in..) all those silly things, that the readers imagined regarding the characters and their relationships between each other . Kind of "What?! How could they get those ideas?!.... hmm... i see.... man... I never intended to...but.... hihi... kind of funny how things can be intrepreted. Guess I will show them, how I think about it...." Hope, yout get my drift. Just drawing such a story to show, how amused you are about the things other people interpreted in your work, even when you never wanted it to be understood that way.
So because I think that way, i totally liked the side story

Kyaaaa. Have you seen the latest raws (last 2 chapters)? Don't tell me there is nothing going on. The ridiculous side story became true . Iremi (now completely grown up) is following Edermask like a puppy and Edermask has this silly smile on his face. And Enju has "I am jealous!" written on his face. All right, I am exaggerating a little but see for yourself. Maybe I am again just seeing what I want to see .

hm... I just took a look at the latest raw-chapter.... just because you said it. Well... I don't know korean, so there wasn't much I could get out of it but...

... at least I was happy to see that Iremi didn't sleep with her head lying somewhere on Edermask...

I hope, you just saw, what you wanted to but unfortunately in most cases, when there is romance in a webtoon, manhwa or manga, it is always the "wrong romance" for me. It's really frustrating and made me kind of paranoid, always looking for hints at something I don't want to see happening. In this webtoon, because I don't know the raws an I kind of like it, I just keep on hoping (call me naive?) on some "good (for me)" romantic development or none. No romance is at least better than bad romance, right? xD

But... don't get me wrong. In my eyes (and because I can't read korean the pictures are all I can base my opinion on) this isn't necessarily a romantic development between Iremi and Edermask (god... I said it now x.x). It still fits in this "admiration for a great person / teacher"-sheme I see between the two of them. Of course, after just looking through the two latest chapters I will now stop myself from jumping further into conclusions. I will just keep reading the future translations until the point arrives where I am either extremeley happy about some good developments or utterly crushed after seeing my worst imaginations come true. Or third possibility: nothing in this direction happens and I think "So many worries about nothing <.<" Not particularly bad bud not exceptionally good either xD
And perhapbs you could imagine... but I spent a good load of time staring at the little pic of Enzu and Iremi at the bottom of the latest chapter xD

I hate to point it out, but I don't see why you would say that.
Perhaps I just should stop looking in the raws whenever I find myself in this thread... they just confuse me. But...

It kind of looked like Iremi was deeply hurt when Edermask attacked her... Too hurt for my taste. It was like "oh no... the person that meant the most for me raised his hand in my direction!" The horror... the most terrible thing that could happen is that her heart belongs to Edermask. If that were the case... I...I... Q.Q *slaps himself - sniffle - cleans face* No... nothing... There was nothing. This is a fantasy-action story with no romance in it! Absolutely no romance! God... how I hate romance >_< Must... concentrate on the positive aspects... Enzu is cool, perceptive and protects Iremi! Yay! Oh... and there is also a plot to follow... completely forgot about that x.x

Maybe this is a good chance for Iremi to get over her childish crush on Edermask and finally recognize Enju. Who is cool and perceptive etc. Love comes and goes. I just wonder what is going on and why Edermask attacked them.

I am sorry that no matter how things end up, one of us will be disappointed. Since there is no way that everyone can be happy. It's only possible that someone will be happy. Remember who said that?

well... what would be our status if there wouldn't be any romance? Would we both be disappointed or kind of relieved that it's not a "bad" romance?
And I don't know who you have in mind but there is more than one person in the world that realised that not everyone can be happy^^;

Unfortunately Enzu seems to care for her or even love her... Wish it wouldn't be the case, so I could hate her with all my might and couldn't care less about her behaviour and such x.x But because Enzu has feelings for her, I can't stand her but also can't just wish for her to disappear because I want Enzu to be happy x.x Why did the author have Matthew mention hints that lead in the romance-direction?! I don't want romance in this thing... because if all goes its natural course it will ruin this story for me x_X

There is romance but its light and usually don’t involve the MCs. People who look for the romance tag expect it to be much heavier than it is in this webtoon.

Enzu has actually had pretty decent character development. Iremi is the one who is stuck, which may or may not be due to the fact that
