• Ice Magic: A magic inherent to Fay, who is an ice fayth. This type of magic has the added ability to hinder enemy movements, and while not as destructive as other elements such as fire or lightning, is quite versatile as it could be shaped rather easily. Fay is capable of using this magic as naturally as he breathe.
• Archery: Fay is a master marksman. His amazing dexterity and eye sight allows him to lock on a target's weak spot accurately in a very short amount of time. Coupled with his control over magic, Fay almost never miss, even against insanely speedy and agile enemies.
• Blade Dance: A fighting art almost exclusive to the small-framed fayths. The style focuses on evasion and landing counter-attacks on enemy's weak point. With a short sword on each hand, Fay could land speedy combos even while blocking.
• Trickery and Deceit: Physical strength is only half the combat. Bluffs and tricks could easily win you a battle if done right, even when you are facing an opponent far stronger than you. Needless to say, the relatively weak fairy kin are all pretty good with this aspect.

 

Weakness:

• Low Physical Power: A Fey is a physically weak race. Even with help from magic, they are not what you could call uber fighters. At the very best, Fay could only manage to replicate power akin to human athlete. Normally he would have the muscle power of an untrained human adult.
• Low Physical Tolerance: Even with the nigh impenetrable dragonskin armor equipped, Fay still has a weak body. Residual impacts from blows, even those that were not strong enough to pierce the armor, are sometimes enough to stun or even knock Fay out.

 

Immunity:

• Mind Bending: Not exactly immunity, but being a master at trickery and deceit himself, Fay has built amazingly high tolerance to mind bending ability.
• Ice Magic: Again, this is not actually an immunity. Being a user of ice magic himself, Fay has built amazingly high tolerance to ice-based magic.

 

Inventory:

• The crossbow, Enki: A personalized replica of Gandiva, the golden bow of gods. It feeds on Fay's magic power and shots magical ice projectiles. It requires neither ammunition nor reloading, and is capable of two types of attack: high-powered charge shot and rapid-firing normal shots.
• The twin swords, Sagacitas & Providentia: Personalized replicas of Gram and Balmung, the dragon-slaying swords. They has the ability to cut through magic and supernatural powers. Small and light, they are a perfect fit for the small-framed Fay.
• Dragonskin Armor: An armor Taka crafted for him. It is both strong and flexible. Provides major protection against physical attacks, and is also magic-resistant.
• A variety of potions: They were brewed by Taka himself, and are rather potent.

 

Relationships:

• Takayuki: His master and fatherly figure. Fay had vowed to serve Takayuki for his entire life.
• 2hot4you: A brother in arm, and a real brother figure. He trusts him, and cares for him deeply.
• Aspen Holzer: A friend who had shared a death-defying moment together. They were separated when Fay was taken to Hell by Takayuki.
• Gavalot / Albus Mistwalker: Another acquaintance Fay met in his first day in human world. The man seemed to be a prominent mage, if not an archdemon himself. Fay respects him as a wise elder.
• Geo: An adversary he met in the previous war. This man almost killed Fay in their last encounter, but it seemed that he was controlled by something else at the moment. Fay still wants to recruit him to Takayuki's side, despite knowing his.. Mental imbalance, of some sort.

 

Personality: Fay has a trouble expressing his emotions as of late. As such, he seemed to be rather emotionless, only capable of showing faint facial expressions. Deep down, he is actually quite caring. His most prominent personality traits, however, is his undying loyalty.

 

History:

A Fey Takayuki saved on his expedition to the Niflheim region in hell. He had no memories of his past, and pledged loyalty to the King of Hell as his way to repay the kindness he had received. On his first trip to the human world, the inexperienced Fayth almost died in a fight against a rampaging entity that called himself 'Gale'. Fearing for his life, Takayuki devoured his soul core, turning him into an immortal vassal of his. As long as the King of Hell lives, the loyal servant shall be unknown to death, and will be pledged to offer his service to the master for as long as he lives.

 

The ritual, however, changed Fay forever. Having lost its boundary with the Akashic Record, Fay's soul was merged with Gaap, his index. His old memories began to resurface, little by little. His magical energy also grows exponentially. In exchange, he is finding it harder and harder to show his emotions. It's almost as if.. He were turning into the record himself. Not that it would matter much, really. After all, he has only one goal to accomplish: to serve his master.

Aspen isn't one to hold back, either in the bar or on the fields of battle. Once something has grabbed her interest, she will pursue it at all costs, no matter how mundane or stupid it seems to the rest of the world. If she had the chance to pick an ability, she probably would have chosen something related to pyrotechnics. Unfortunately for her, she never had the luxury of choice, being a laboratory specimen. Due to her experiences as a test subject, the ability to exercise freedom is of utmost importance to her as she is done with blindly following orders. Aspen is quite willing to work with a team though, so long as they prove themselves quite capable of protecting her back as she is theirs.

 

Despite the physical abuses she has gone through under the hands of the scientists, Aspen has no psychiatric disorders. However, these abuses have left scars across her body, and as a result, she is quite sensitive to physical contact. This may prove as a trigger point if she is touched without her permission. Wounds only serve to make her more aggressive– as it has been said, a dying soldier has nothing to lose.

 

 

Backstory:

Ever since the advent of science, advancements in weapon technology has progressed quite exponentially. However, so has genetic experimentation. Projects that involved this controversial branch of science have largely been kept out of the public eye, as it raised far too many ethical considerations. The specimens were obtained from orphanages that could no longer afford to care for the children, as it would prove easy to make them disappear without anyone missing them too much. Also, the younger the specimen, the higher the chances of survival.

 

Aspen Holzer happened to be one of the 500 children gathered for the experiment, and most notably, the only known survivor of the entire procedure called RE-WRITE, wherein the subject's genetic structure was altered by removing and adding chromatids that are either obtained from animals or synthetically produced.

 

In order to test her capabilities, countless tests were carried out to find the limits of this new technology. Time and time again, Aspen managed to surpass and even break the expectations of the scientists. It came to the point where they could no longer physically hold her captive at the age of 10, as she was capable of breaking down steel doors with kicks despite being untrained for physical combat.

 

To acquire more funding for the RE-WRITE project, they rented her out to the military for espionage-type missions. After proving her capabilities, the military began putting her into the front-lines as an unregistered soldier. The battles always turned out to be in their favor... so long as she was compensated well.

 

Eventually, Aspen realized that both her creators and the military were no longer capable of restricting her should she choose to defy their orders. After a few failed attempts, she managed to escape from her cell and disappear from their radar. The escape was made possible by a sympathetic scientist who could no longer live with the abuses he helped commit.

 

She currently lives on the run, relying on her skills and military experience to provide mercenary services as a means of getting income.

 

Weapons:

Aspen is proficient in the use of numerous weapons but her weapon of choice is a katana, especially for close combat situations.

Even guns are utilized as an extension of melee weapons, as she dislikes long-ranged combat.

She does not have the patience to stay out of the battlefield, even if ordered to do so.

 

Abilities and Skills:

Hypersensitivity to senses - All senses are acutely attuned to the surroundings, from sight to touch. This is due to the various mutations in her genetic structure that mimic those of animals (ex: superior eyesight due to some genes from bird species, acute sense of smell from canines, etc.) One downside of this hypersensitivity is that pain becomes an issue. To counteract this, Aspen takes specialized medication when she expects that a mission will result in severe physical wounds. The opposite is true as well; well-placed hugs can immediately comfort her as the pleasure of meaningful human contact is magnified.

 

Superior Endurance and Strength - Aspen is capable of running several hours without slowing down, although this carries with it the risk of severe muscle damage. Simply put, she is a sprinter, not a marathon runner. The burning sensation of muscle pain does not sit well with her.

 

Regenerative Capabilities - It takes a matter of minutes for Aspen to heal deep lacerations, and about a week to regrow decapitated limbs, including the head so long as a portion of the brain stem is intact and the decapitated body is put on life support. She is still mortal, though her rugged physical healing factors make her seem nigh invulnerable. She may even seem flameproof; what happens is that her skin regenerates faster than the flame can destroy it.

 

RE-WRITE - To a certain extent, Aspen can manipulate her genetic structure giving her the ability to change forms while still maintaining her sentience. This allows her to take on animalistic forms of her own design and imbue them with abilities of her choosing. For example, she can make venomous enzymes that are delivered through bites or scratches, even if the form chosen appears to be harmless. If she chooses to morph into a form that requires more mass than that which her human flesh provides, she can either consume more calories as appropriate for the energy gain, or alternatively, maintain physical contact onto another carbon-based organism to use their mass to transform into larger forms. The only limit to this ability is the amount of mass she can gain access to at the moment.

 

This ability can also be used to form antibodies, vaccines and the like when needed. Basically, Aspen is a sentient bio-chemistry lab.

Alternatively, the introduction of foreign chemicals into her bloodstream can also affect her combat capabilities very quickly. Drugs can boost her reaction speeds as well as weaken her sense of pain, however this also makes her more aggressive and less careful.

 

PAPER CUT- Aspen's blood has curative properties and can serve as a liquid bandage of sorts– if synthesized and processed. In its raw form however, it is a biohazard. When the blood comes into contact with something, it turns into an acid that cannot be neutralized with alkaline substances aside from that produced by her own body. Acting as an acid, it eats away at anything it comes into contact with, so long as it contains matter.

 

WATERMARK - This is a peculiar side-effect of her abilities. Though her skin heals quickly, if she feels fear when a wound is inflicted, it heals but remains as a scar.

 

FAHRENHEIT 451 - Unbeknownst to Aspen, she is capable of not only changing mass, but also using energy to control and create fires. This is a result of her demonic lineage that she knows nothing about, since she was raised in an orphanage. This ability only comes into play when she is under extreme physical, mental, or emotional stress. After it is used, Aspen becomes unconscious and remembers nothing about it.

 

Theoretically, she can learn how to control it, but at the moment, she still needs some training.

 

Other demonic abilities may reveal themselves in time, but at the moment, since she is unaware of this side of her, she cannot tap into it consciously.

Cast out from heaven, Gavalot remained in a state of ennui for a millenium, before Hades rescued him from it. Known as the ruler of the 7th layer of hell, he was majorly in charge with torture of violent souls - murderers and the like. Doing his duty, he got interested in humans and why they turned into such beings, he could not fathom God's will and his love for such puny beings. So he split in two and sent one of his part to Human realm to observe and learn more about Human world, keeping his other part in hell to help Satan, but Satan learning his desire decided to allow him to leave his domain and handed his realm to Baal, allowing Gavalot to be wholly be present in human realm. There he tried to test god's will and started corrupting humans, thus becoming known as 'The Whisperer'. At a point in time he fell in love with a beautiful woman who was killed for ransom by one of those corrupted. His anguish unbearable, he decided to cut his Left Arm and Leg which gave him the power to influence 'free will'. He also imprisoned himself from both humans and beings from Hell, finding himself unworthy of such power. As such he is more of a philosopher warrior, who engages in long dialogues and avoids battle. Likes to collect and read books.

 

Recent: travelled back to hell to fuse with his actual body and gained back lost powers. Is more powerful than before.

No.2 - Indigo Pride - (limited to 1 opponent) - Makes the opponent forget all mental and elemental skills, his physical skills remain unchanged. Spell lasts only for 13 minutes. The effects are not permanent, rather as the 13 minutes pass the opponents strongest skill is further powered for 1 min.

No.3 - Blue Greed - (limited to 1 ally) allows the wielder to use the skill of the opponent, this skill is double edged as if the subject doesn't defeat (not death, just incapacity) within 6 minutes, half his life force shall be absorbed by Gavalot thus requires mutual consent before use.

No.4 - Yellow Gluttony - (limited to 2 people) allows the people under effect to be impervious to physical and elemental attacks as they get warped to other dimension.

No.5 - Green Envy - (limited to self) allows Gavalot to use his opponents skill for 666 seconds. Cooldown of 6 hours.

No.6 - Orange Lust - (limited to partner, max 4) allows the ones shrouded by shield to heal injuries by sapping Gavalot's blood. can only be maintained for 216 seconds.

No.7 - Red Wrath - (Self only) turns Gavalot into his original form, where he gets all power of Iblis from 7th circle of oblivion but becomes very vulnerable to divine magic. Cooldown 13-130 hours depending on damage sustained

I've never participated in a BBS level roleplay before, so I'm going to start developing a profile, but I'll observe and ask for some helpful pointers for now. For starters, how should I go about entering a story in-progress?

 

Biographical Information

Backstory: Appeared wandering near a casino one day on the borders of starvation with no recollection of his identity or past. Was taken in by a kind-seeming man and given the name "Edward", before immediately being forced to shoulder his debts upon his savior's untimely death. Forced to work for the casino to pay off ever-mounting debt. Learned the gambling industry inside and out, and eventually became "security guard" for the establishment, until it was destroyed. Up until this point all the information regarding Sila is taken from the log of the mercenary army´s leader.
It took me great efforts to track down the mercenaries just for this piece of information. What I encountered was a gruesome find:
A sea of thousands of corpses, the ruins of the mercenary encampment, a mass grave.
The mercenaries were completely wiped out and their end was captured for eternity within the hostile white.
It is there that I stumbled upon this log. However, it is also here where we lose track of Sila´s whereabouts for the next 14 years."

Recent Chronology:

Sila has returned from her journey throughout the world, in which she collected all of the legendary Katanas.

She now has opened up a new Dojo for the mastery of Katanas called the "Nine Paths" on the outskirts of Batotia City.

Every courageous female is welcome to learn the art of the Katana and to hone their skills here.

Sila owns 7 of the 9 legendary Katanas forged by the "Hunted Blacksmith". Each of these Katanas has its own personality as well as ability.

Having acknowledged their master once they can only switch possession when their recognized master meets their end.

Though 7 of these Katanas are in her possession, she normally is only able to wield two of them at the same time in any combination.

The Katanas glow in their respective colors when active.

The ones in possession of Sila are the following:

 

1."Serenity of the Soul" - Color: Sky Blue - Character Traits: Pure, Honest, Shy - male

This Katana constantly emits an aura that prevents any manipulation of her mind and soul, thus her perception of the world around her.

Any illusion techniques, any diversion techniques, any mind control techniques, anything along those lines is rendered useless when this Katana is wielded.

2."Pride of the Protector" - Color: Royal Blue - Character Traits: Honorable, Brave, Proud - male

This Katana creates an impenetrable sphere that protects against any non-physical attack such as energy or magic based attacks.

It works against attacks of any level of power by bending the room around it so that all those attacks simply go around the sphere and miss their target.

However, the more powerful the attack, the longer it takes to recreate the sphere once lifted, allowing for certain timing attacks.

3."Envy of the Enslaved" - Color: Poison Green - Character Traits: Envious, Cunning, Pestilent - female

This Katana absorbs one non-physical attack/technique it comes into contact with (and thus blocking said technique once).

After absorbing it, it can copy that technique till it comes into contact with another non-physical attack/technique.

 

4."Wrath of the Wicked" - Color: Crimson Red - Character Traits: Crazy, Furious, Spirited - male

This Katana steals the lifeforce of enemies when it cuts them and comes into contact with their blood.

The stolen Lifeforce is either used to empower other techniques of the wielder or to heal the wielder´s wounds and restore their stamina.

Another effect of this Katana is that the wounds it deals cant be healed as long as this Katana is unsheathed.

 

5."Bliss of the Beauty" - Color: Lemon Yellow - Character Traits: Conceited, Condescending, Narcissistic - female

This Katana heightens all senses of the wielder, including the supernatural ones. The wielders strength, speed, reaction time, ability power etc is tripled.

The more powerful the wielder, the more powerful the effect of this Katana.

If it is used for too long however, it can lead to a dangerous berserk status. The time it can be used safely depends on the wielder´s status.

6."Misery of the Mortal" - Color: Amber Orange - Character Traits: Sorrowful, Whiny, Gentle - female

This Katana is capable of disrupting the life energy force within all living beings. Meaning living enemies cut by this Katana cant properly use their abilities when injured by this Katana.

The more damage this Katana deals enemies, the harder it becomes for them to use their abilities till they are rendered completely unable to use any kind of ability.

 

7."Tyranny of the Trickster" - Color: Pure Black - Character Traits: Cheeky, Cynical, Creative - male

This Katana allows the wielder to shift through any kind of physical attack at their will, allowing for an incredible defense, crazy stunts, dodges, as well as difficult to block attacks.

- ShadowReaper Body:

Sila usually never leaves her part of the Shadow Realm. She usually only uses this specially crafted body to travel other worlds.

This body is very valuable and for now she only has one back-up body to use. It is far more powerful than normal shadow clones and cant be destroyed as easily.

 

- ChaosMind Poison:

Sila sometimes imbues her Katanas with this Poison. It affects the brain of the target, shattering their personality and creating multiple different personalities for a few days before the mind can recollect itself.

Making the target easier to manipulate and more susceptible to mind control techniques. She brews the poison herself but it takes a lot of time to make such a complicated poison.

The ingredients are not easy to find either, which makes it very valuable.

Backstory

Being the son of tentacle being Lurker, and the grandson of Taka, the king of hell, 2hot inherited a lot of traiths and power. Was raised mostly by lurker and taught various things from an early age. 2hot grew up together with Fayr, his brother, who he spend most of his time with if it wasnt to learn from mom. He witnessed a lot of gruesome things, like the sextape of his grandfather and his mother raping man and decided to do things differently. He was going to become strong and protect the people who were dear to him, while staying right and gentle all the way through.  

 

Personality

Laidback most of the time, likes to joke around but can also be serious if the situation requires it. Friendly to everyone, but also quick to discover people's hidden intentions. Likes to see the good in people, but once he hates someone its almost impossible to change that.

Weapons and equipment

Copy of the monkey kings staff, its called Ruyi Jingu. It was crafted by the king of hell and made specially for me to use. It has the same qualities as the original staf and is indestructable. It can be bend to any size i want it to, but only after i say "Ruyi, extend". It has been perfectly attunded to me, and feels like a part of my body. 

It has been altered in such a way that i can control the temperature of the staff at will, from normal to as hot as lava.

 

Fire resistant gauntlets made from demon skin. Made from the skin of many slain demons, and forged in hell by Taka. They have been enchanted to withstand any type of fire and temperature, perfect for holding my staff or warding off attacks.

 

Abilities

 

Tentacle being

As a son of lurker, the tentacle being, 2hot has inherited the genes which allow for growth of these. Since he is only partly tentacle being, the most he can spawn from his body are 2, which can be grown at will from his back. These are normally hidden and will only come out when i want them too. These tentacles are however high quality, and are very thick and long. They can't be cut by physical attacks and are able to regrow but this does take quite some energy. These are perfect to ward off attacks from multiple angles, and are mainly used as distraction or defense.

Weapon effeciency

Profound in the ways of the staff, 2hot has spend a great amount of time training this. He also got taught swordmastery by Sila, which allows him to recognize attack patterns and the reach of various swords.

Spend a great part of his life training his body to protect people, and has a high amount of energy. 

 

Toughness

Being part tentacle being and part descendant of hell, 2hot has a body which is way tougher then an average human. Can take more hits and also posseses high speed and jumping ability.

It involves the utilization of devastating and wickedly fast swordplay in combination with powerful magick. As potent as it is flexible, she can conjure up shards of purified light by the thousands to encompass and slice her enemies to ribbons. Yet this in itself, a legendary move called Climhazzard, is one of many powerful techniques at her disposal. Shock, being another, is essentially bringing forward a burst of light-based magic to explode violently outward in a vengeful blow. Devastating to flesh and armor alike is also another ability called LIghtning Stab, where from beneath the adversary she is fighting, a sudden blade of purified electricity will explode upward, threatening their well being. Magick like that, in combination with her own uniquely potent speed and strength are what makes her a threat.

Weakness:

Shadow Magic, or any kind of magic that encompasses the dark as it is her polar opposite. It is always light that must struggle against the dark, and the opposite remains to be true.
