Aw, what a refreshingly sweet and pure romance. As much as I enjoyed it, I'm glad I waited until it was finished to read. The slow pace at the beginning might have killed me otherwise! A few things were a bit unsatisfying. Atohira's arc seemed unnecessary and not well fleshed out. Kawasumi and he appeared to have more backstory than was revealed, and there should be more to the brother as well IMO. I would have liked to see Suiren develop a little more besides in her close relationships. It's going to be hard for her to make it through adulthood with her looks if she needs to be protected from guys hitting on her. I had hoped the Atohira arc would help there, but it didn't really.
It would be nice if Aya gets a story - she was an awesome friend that deserved more screen time. Even Koharu got a better story, and she's another character that seemed tossed in there only to create a rival situation.

I love Hibi Chouchou but even so I can't help noticing that the oneshot version didn't leave out anything important from the whole 75 chapter manga.
i just hope aya has a happy ending in a special chapter.... (she's my favorite out of all of 'em)
My theory:
The Translators just keep on translating the special chapters coz they know the manga is about to end and they don't want the vanilla to end.

Last couple of chapters really lovely.
It ends at 75. 83 should be if you includes all the extra chapters throughout this manga series.
For the main story, we have already completed it. Last chapter of Hibi chouchou is until chapter 75. I don't how this site woks, sorry i'm still new, cause i don't see it turning up, but it's all there. If you read chapter by chapter, you can reach until chapter 75 (ending)
