Ha! He wont beat the slime. It's not the style of these Manwha for a low level MC to actually succeed when they first try.
If you want something that uses a similar premise without turning into a battle manhwa (so far), go read Dice instead. At least we still have that.

Well, gettin' into the fray down there, I know korean games from both schools (Skill-base and Stat-base) and I find both enjoyable...
For the most part, most games just don't show the numbers, but they are still there. Games witth multiple classes have indeed non-changeable stats for every class like "movement speed", "attack speed", "strenght/power" and so. Some examples are Super Mario Brothers 2, Aero Fighters and Team Fortress.
The difference with stat-based games is that you choose the way a generic character grows like in Fable.
All in all, is just a difference in tastes.

DUDE! It's a god damn Pokédex! No better since it probably works on items, people, buildings, anomalies, black holes, suns, nuclear bombs, twinkie(seriously wtf are these things made of?), food(check if it's expired), coca-cola(secret ingredient), panties, and pretty much whatever else you can think of.

I think thats his speciality, in a real mmo the amount of insight he has into others is invaluable even more so given the fact that others aren't able too. To me this story looks set on the MC building himself up around stronger allies who will stick with him for his ability.
I disagree, that ability is quite useful especially in MMOs and RPGs since you know what the monsters does and abilities are...with that noted
