Now here we stand with their blood on our hands
We fought so hard now can we understand
I'll break the seal of this curse if I possibly can
FOR FREEDOM OF EVERY MAN!
I've always thought of myself as just another commonner, but my family and friends, my classmates and teachers always thought of me as a genius. Living up to such high expentations was pretty annoying.
The only way I would describe my brain and explain my high marks on school is that I have a good memory and paid enough atention in class... never done proper studying nor homework.
Intelligence is overrated. You can easily gain it by seriously putting effort on it. So I see it as not different from muscles.
What people should strive for is experience. Life experience can take you further than plain old brainers... and muscles and intelligence normally build up as you gain experience. It even gives you wisdom! Holing yourself up on a library may look responsible, but is not that different from expending the same time on a gym. You still have to find a way to use all that you have build up.
So go out and fail. Go out and win. Go out and get send to the hospital a couple of times. The time you expend working will never betray you. Only you, and maybe that friend that is always talking crap about you, may betray you.
Hello there, youngsters!
My name is Jose but you can call me Osegueda, hehe.
I was once a pretty shy fatboy who cowered in fear of bullies and cool people alike. Until I almost died of perithonitis... Since then, the mean/sick look in my eyes drive the pseudobullies on these lands away and got me some friends.
I have liked japanimation since I was a young weakling. The first anime I saw was Mazinger Z, which was recomended by my father (45 then) and it was just plain awesome. Since then I liked sentai shows and hot-blooded speeches. Even so, I'm not biased towards Japan. I do like many western shows as much as I like my favorite animes. Good old Quickdraw, Huckleberry Hound, Tom and Jerry, Garfield, He-man, X-men, and so on.
Nowadays, I'm a baker following the family tradition and I still like animation a lot. My favorite genres right now would be comedy, action and romance. And I even added manga and light novels to my reading time.
Some mentions on manga:
Fruit Basket, Azumanga Daioh, Urusei Yatsura, Love Hina, Mob 100 Psycho, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Konjiki no Gash!!, Angel Densetsu, School Rumble, Elfen Lied, Saint Seiya...
