kill half of population= can return 4 years back. so he just need to return 4 years back then redo it all over again. in original timeline it seem it only took demon lord only 1 year to achieve it. repeat this for 100 times then he can go back 300 years.
for example :
2014- get enough kills to collect mana. return 4 years past to 2010
2011-1 year taken to get enough kills. return 4 years to 2007.
and repeat.
Each time he go back he get more mana and it's not like there is only 1 type of time travel spell
Why is he keeping this a secret from them? I don't understand this at all.
Should re-title this series New Game+
Edit: Seems earlier comments drew the same conclusion, just can't page back enough to see them all! At least I know others follow the same train of thought.

And why does everyone assume that because the current DL has been around 300 years, that the one in 4 years is the same?
Maybe they'll merge, ally, or maybe he has secretly long been dead or MC kills and replaces him.
Well, he technically already had Urza. So, he might end up with both of them. Especially if he ends up revealing the whole truth.
Or he can use the "I, the mighty hero, just saved the continent from total destruction. You can allow me some polygamy, yeah?" argument.

yeah, Half of continent humans to travel back 4 years, if he kill all the continent still back to 8 years only.
If he keeps doing his 'phantasmal training' eventually he would be able to create a real enough demon lord, maybe do it subconsciously as well.

What if he goes back to a time before he was born and lived up to be demon lord?
I keep wondering this but if he left a hole in the dungeon won't people go in it?

Well, he also skipped the dungeon by digging.
You can think that, but remember, there is only 1 of him, when he crossed dimensions, he combined with the one in the current dimension. If he is going to be the demon lord, then he must be able to split and so there is another one of him to do everything.
EDIT: Though the soul fusion theory rebutts that.
I waited anxiously for a month for this chapter and...........not too much happened in comparison to the other chapter, it was shorter too

notice the cogwheel at the top of the screen alongside the chapter select and page select? Click that and you can change servers, your problem is that the server your currently reading on has a high capacity of people, changing servers will alleviate the problem.
Just go to their site, go to the new saga talk page and download it.
