I'm not sure i can even ask for a anime recommendation here (and if its the best place) but i have always ended up with good manga recommendations from people here before so i might as welt just try

I recently watched the anime adaption of Sidonia no kishi (Nihei being one of my favorite manga artists) and liked it and asked myself why i stopped watching anime (last one is about 4 years ago i think).

So i started looking for something new to watch and then i remembered why I stopped. i DO NOT like high school plots (biggest reason why Sidonia no kishi was good instead of brilliant).

The reason being that i dislike the shallow power of friendship, friendship is magic kinda stuff. Maybe I just grown older but even as high scholar i couldn't really identify myself with most of high school characters..

Also the moral, psychological and philosophical aspects are in my opinion and experience very shallow and badly done (with very little exceptions). I could rant more about this for a few hours but i will refrain myself.

So what i'm looking for now is an anime made in the past few years for and about adults (main characters being 21+ (maybe i could do 18+)). I tried to find something but everything i came across is about teenagers.
