My great-grandmother died yesterday night, and naturally the funeral is on the only day I actually work, so I had to go in to work during a gap between lectures to try get the day off. Luckily they found someone to cover my shift, even though it was super short notice. Now I'm going to have to waste the whole weekend being around random relatives I've never seen in my entire life. I feel like a colossal asshole for not really caring, but tbh she was just that weird old lady I had to visit every few years. Still, 99 is a pretty dang respectable age. Hopefully I got them long-life genes.

I had my first engineering lab today, too. I was expecting it to be some next-level, S-rank difficulty stuff, but it just turned out to be putting a disassembled PC back together and running various versions of Linux on it from disks. The tutors kept going on about how Windows is only for filthy casuals, and that Linux is what the real pros use ._. Who the hell would willingly use Linux??? (Apart from those smug hipster computer nerds.)

I think I accidentally picked up a stalker from it though, I talked to the guy next to me a couple of times and then he hung around after class while I packed up my stuff and then walked beside me while asking me where I hung out, and then asking to come into town with me o.o

I managed to shake him off by telling him I was going into work for a bit, though. It was so weird. Like, I don't mind being friendly and talking to him every now and then, but no way do I want to hang out with him all the time. He was mega pimply and weird-looking, and kinda creeped me out a bit.

*I finally found out what the heck a cubit is,too. My laptop's about 4/5 of a cubit wide. Yay for useless information!
