Now in my little mind I imagine a picture of my character holding his two headed puppy in the air with a happy face.

I'll be very disappointed if you don't use that dog as a projectile weapon/your opening attack. And by projectile, I mean grab it by the scruff of it's neck and throw it at someone's face.

Day 1, 1:10 PM

With nowhere to go, besides home, she followed a few patrons of a local 'Bar & Grill' down the wet, stone steps into said  establishment. She had tracked the convoy to, what seemed to be a crater, but hadn't ventured further. Knives didn't see the point. There were no signs of life, the vehicles she'd been tracking now trailed off the edges into shadow, and the gates were still locked. Weighting her options, she decided she wasn't going to be that one white girl that always ran off into the bushes asking, "Is someone there?"

Instead, she was now taking a seat at the bar of some local 'Mom and Pops'. Despite being well after midnight, the place was overcrowded. Her 'seat at the bar' was in fact her standing at the edge of the bar, in the spot where the bar door swung open. This gave her a fine view of what went on behind the counter. Waiting patiently for her turn to order, she started watched the images playing silently on the small tv above the bar. Everyone watching, seemed to have an opinion of the days events.

Terrorists, earthquake, apocalypse... She could hear it all, but couldn't be bothered to care. Switching between all those emotional highs and lows had left her mentally exhausted. All she wanted to do now was have a drink and...

"What does it feel like to be the most beautiful girl in this room?"

'Oh boy...'

Day 1, 12:46 PM

Knives had to admit, it was kind of funny watching them. Whatever that light was, it had left both of her companions blinded and desperate to covering their faces. She was almost tempted to turn around and blind herself too, just to join in on the fun.

Instead, a darker instinct urged her to strike while they were both vulnerable. It was so seductive, whispering it's twisted logic into her ear. Her heart beat faster in anticipation alone, as her pink tongue slid out and licked the right corner of her mouth. She was so hot just then, her fingers tingled with need and yearned for purpose.

But... No. There was a chance at catching a larger prize - if she was just a bit patience. Just a bit longer... In fact for all she knew, these were the people she was sent here to work with. Or against. Details. All she really knew was, what the girl had just told her. "...you can take it on good faith that I had absolutely no intention of causing the mess that I did. The attack was meant for someone under your boss's employ, not innocent people." Was she talking about Takayuki? Was she just lying? Who knew.

Knives' eyes slid slowly to her left as the boy began stumbling like a baby gazelle fresh from it's mother's womb. Just before the flash of light, he'd introduced himself as 'Pariah'. The Outcast. And refered to the girl as 'Maia'. The Nymph. Both fitting names for her companions, at least on the surface. Now he looked ill and ready to spill the contents of his skull all over the sidewalk.

Acting on impulse, Knives moved forward and caught him before he could injure himself further. As she supported his head, Pariah seemed to smile angrily up at the sky as he muttered "How the mighty have fallen, right, Saya?" The irony of it made her smile, showing her teeth for the first time since arriving in the city. He faded quickly after that.

Just above her, Maia let out a tired sigh. She sounded exhausted. Reaching inside her gear, the nymph produced a card with a contact number on it. "Well, while I'm not sure why you've chosen to change sides, I wont complain. We would love to welcome people who wish to be a part of our family," she said before winking at Knives.

"This is the number where you can reach me. For now, I need to get my exhausted friend here home so that he can rest. He hasn't had much rest in the last several days. Silly thing." Knives accepted the proffered card with out a word or a smile. Now she spun it around using three fingers. What ever was written on the card, didn't register. Instead, her thoughts were on the fact that Maia and Pariah were both about to slip away. If she didn't do something soon, she would end up with nothing.

FLIP

Maia reached down slowly, gently placing her hand on Pariah's cold forehead.

FLIP

Knives' heart beat loudly in her ears. Like the drums of war, they drowned out any sense of logic in her mind. Her face was hot and tight. She could feel the veins throbbing painfully up her neck and down her hands. Squeezing her eyes tighly, she...

FLIP

With her hand touching Pariah's skin, Maia whisked them both away into the shadows she'd been building up. Destination? Unknowable.

Opening her eyes again, her irises were back to their normal black color as she raised the card to her nose and inhaled deeply. 'Maia, was it?' she thought, 'Your sweat smells amazing...' Pocketing the card she slowly stood up, turned around, and headed in the direction the convey had been traveling in. Maybe there was something fun for her to do there.

Someone's popular! I'm anti-social, 2 is too much!

Anyway, I mentioned 'real time' as an example. If me and you are talking and everyone goes to sleep (babies), and it gets... Mmm... Chewy. Before we know it, their up again while our convo was just getting good... I don't even remember what my point was, I just need a cold drink right about now.

I agree with this.
Also, Naifu, because I'm curious how knives will react, Frey might just pass out here in a few minutes XD

Hahaha. I'm coming, trying to catch up with my notifications. Had, like 40 to work through. :'(

No one said anything about using real-time, totally misunderstand it but whatever.

And now my favorite letter is upset with me. Take me Jesus into your bosom! Life is no longer worth living. \@o@/

Interesting ideas but they don't sound very practical. People who are already lagging behind, will have to work twice as hard to catch up and stay current. This is supposed to something fun to do. Coming home from a long day to more work doesn't sound very fun and relaxing.

The stupid question would be, if this is really that important to the game. We can all agree on an in-game calendar, but enforcing it is impossible. 'Conversation' aren't in real-time, they can go on for hours and be just seconds in-game. If we pm people in advance to work out what will be said, just to accommodate the passage of time... Will the game really be better for it? I don't know.

Day 1, 12:41 PM

The boy seemed to appear out of nowhere, and began talking as it were normal to just suddenly be there. Half way through he spat blood onto sidewalk before finally addressing her, a red sliver running down his face. Luckily, none of his saliva and blood landed near her. Stuff like that was why she didn't wear her shoes into the house.

"Pariah... Yes?" Knives said slowly with a warm, sickeningly sweet smile. "Sorry. I overheard the two of you speaking... And..."

Getting a better look at him now, the boy was tall, probably as tall as she was out of her shoes, with dark purple streaks in his messy, medium-lenght brown hair. And he was young, with hints of 'babyfat' still present under his soft-but-drawn skin. In fact, he looked like he was recovering from the side effects of starvation. She's seen it enough to know. Weight loss, dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, muscle atrophy, hypotension, and finally death. He looked like all of the above.

Extending her arm towards him for a handshake, she could see he was hesitant to get near her. Normally she wouldn't even have bothered. With his tattered, dark green hoodie, torn dark jeans, and worn-out brown boots, he looked messy. And that was before the rain. Knives preferred cleanliness. Cleaning and washing often, even ironing her underwear just for fun. She wasn't a 'phobiac, but... It was about respect. She couldn't explain it better than that.

With his unkempt look, head slighty down, and eyes avoiding her gaze, Pariah didn't look to her like he had any 'respect'. His only redeeming feature were his beautiful, green eyes. '...maybe I can keep them in a jar somewhere cool,' she thought, making her smile more. Just as she was noticing the large runed cuffs with broken chains around his wrists, there was a bright blue, flash of light behind her.

Day 1, 12:45 PM

Like a monster out of their worst nightmare, he appeared before them. Ugly and Grotesque. The creature they had once proudly served was yet again covered in human blood. That's all it seemed to do now. Eat. Consume. Stagnate. They desired Power, Vision, Guidance... Leadership. They would get none of that here.

It wasn't human anymore. They had noticed it a long time ago - they all did. But where the Yakuza chose to continue following him blindly. They strived for better. Their once incomprehensible and terrifying master no longer terrified them. That's why they now served a new master. One full of power. And all that he required of them was a simple gift. Proof of their devotion. With that, he would welcome them gladly into his eternal bosom.

Death. Death was the one true power, the one true constant across all planes of exsitance, the one true God. Soon they will meet him. For he shall come to cast out the pretenders to his throne. This both terrified and excited them. The 'Yakuza' assembled at the mansion gave the imposter a wide berth - the false god, before kneeling before him. An act which meant nothing to them and to him. He didn't even seem to notice, concerned only with the dying remains of a The Seer. Siren followed him with her eyes.

When Takayuki's lips were on The Seer's skin, Siren bit her tongue in two. There was no love in her anymore, only hate. None of the Yakuza were assembled at the mansion. Not that they would have tried to interfere. The Yakuza believed him immortal, but they knew different. He was once mortal. Killable. And he would be again. With her mouth overflowing with blood, Siren gave the signal and all 66 of them surrounded the creature and The Seer. Using an ancient ritual, they sacrificed themselves in righteous blue flame.

They hadn't gone to the mansion to rescue him from a tomb of splinters, but to inscribe the final parts of a powerful banishing spell into the grounds of the mansion and surrounding areas. Maia's attack had provided them with the perfect opportunity to complete the circle they been working on for months. Now their sacrifice would complete the circle and activate the spell. Instantly the city was filled with the light of blue flames. Airplanes above saw the holy ritual, and screamed in terror as everything with turned to black ash and void.

Before she passed from this world, Siren's final thought was the bomb she had placed in Parker's car to kill Viscoun. Her bloody smile vanished last into oblivion.
---------------

Parker watched calmly as the display on the homing device beeped erratically. Viscoun was on the move and from what he could tell, she was trying to loose them. Her travel pattern was random, mostly going in circles, before it did an impossible 360 degree turn and continued in a straight line at a constant speed. She had obviously discarded it at that point. 'Or she hit a wall in the middle of the street, and was now being dragged in the opposite direction by flying monkies.'

Smiling slightly at his own joke, he wondered how she'd known they were coming for her. 'Probably the phone call..,' he thought. Viscoun was clever, often predicting a persons next three moves before they even knew they were on the board. The question was, what to do now. Just then there were two loud 'beeps' and, before he could react, the van exploded in.
---------------

Elvis couldn't contain his excitement. The chaos. The destruction. And all in 'his' name. Death. A blue wall of flame screamed several stories into the sky, made brighter by the dark clouds. His minions had done well, soon all would know his name. The Serpent Clan would see to that. Looking out over the city's latest scar from one of it's tallest buildings in his birthday suit, he could almost dance.

Is it just me or is everyone gathering at the diner where X and T.O.N are....

It's the new hot spot in town. "When the apocalypse comes knocking, The Baked Batoto is the where it really ends."

They returned to the car while noticing that Viscoun's stomach started to rumble. "Should we go eat?" She asked Geo. "I know a good place. It'll be small and probably empty, but the food is good." Geo replied back. "Sure, I'm kind of getting hungry as well. I didn't remember eating for a long time. He started the engines. "Tell me where to go. We aren't in a hurry anymore."

I know the perfect place for a bite!

Day 1, 12:44 PM

"Parker? Who was that?" She'd heard Parker laughing as clearly as if he'd just laughed in her face. Considering where they were and what they were doing, Siren didn't appreciate the casualness it implied. The Yakuza were slowly making progress with the mansion, so far digging up most of the men stationed there for security. Most of whom, had died waiting for rescue. The lucky ones were those who had died instantly in the first blast. "Parker?"

"Yes ma'am?" He quickly stiffened his back and tried to look grimm. "I was just talking to Viscoun, she's all right."

'Yeah, so right it makes you want to laugh!' Siren literally had to bite her tongue to stop herself from saying what was on her mind. Viscoun Kosaka aka Bisukanu aka Ghost aka One-Of-The-Master's-Favorites, was the 'subcommander' of the recently formed Kurokaze Clan. Just the sound of her name made Siren's insides twist in jealousy. If anyone deserved her master's love it was her. Instead, it was as if she didn't exist to him.

Now Viscoun had struck out on her own, and formed this 'clan' (with the master's blessing) in some childish attempt to get his attention - WHEN SHE ALREADY HAS IT! Uuh! It made her so furious. Sometimes, late at night, Siren had to hide in her closet (behind the long coats far in the corner) and scream at the top of her lungs with her mouth gagged. It was a small comfort, but they were becoming more frequent.

To make matters worse, there was another one. Siren had shown her to the master's office, and gotten her after the attack on the mansion was confirmed. No one knew who she was, but everyone knew that the master only had private meetings with his chosen favorites. Like Maia and Viscoun. Spoon or-whatever-her-name-was (Fork maybe?), she had gotten off the convoy and left to confront Maia. There was a moment when a familiar voice told her to stop Spoon (or was it Cup?), to warn her. But that voice was little more than a whisper now. If she was lucky, Spoon was already dead and her actions today will earn her the master's love.

"She's not alright! For all we know, she could be their next target. Take a van and head straight to her location. Take some men. Make sure she's alright."

"Ma'am, but what if..."

"What if something happens to her while your here waisting my time? I'm pretty sure you can guess what the master will do to you when he finds out." With that said, Parker's face instantly paled as the blood ran screaming from his head into his toes. Within seconds he assembled a squad of the best fighters at the mansion and drove off to find Viscoun using a homing device.

'Idiot,' Siren thought bitterly as they drove off. Just then she heard a voice call out, "Master..." Using both hands to sweep her long, dark hair behind her ears as she scanned the area, she quickly found what she was was looking for. "OVER HERE! We... I found another one!"
---------------

Knives was beyond angry, she was livid. The woman was. Casual. About her admission. And equally so about her boss. Who. Was blowing things up. Just for giggles. Apparently. And now she was on the phone. Smiling. 'Oh, how happy we are. Yay. Dance,' Knives thought.

It was just like how. He. Had mentioned her mother's death. How. Easy. It had been. 'Oh, how easy.' Tricking her into doing it. Then killing her for knowing. 'Knowing is bad. You need permission to know. And now - then - he was going to have fun with her. Complete the Circle. First the mother, now the daughter.

"I'm telling you, Pariah, you really need to learn the city a bit better. This is the fourth time I've had to give you directions," she laughed. Like it was nothing. Sirens all around them. But she was laughing.

'Well, at least she takes pride in her work. Wait, didn't she say...'
'And what do you believe; Action or Words?'
Action speak louder than words.
'Exactly!'

Once the woman had ended her call, Knives said to her with a sincere smile "...it sounds like you guys are the ones I really should running with. Forget Takayuki. Never met him, in fact, today was supposed to be our first meeting. But you take care of that easy." She added a deep laugh and a clap.

"I'm better off with you guys. Hey! Since your boss is so close by, do you think I could meet him now? I love a man with Power," she said with another smile as her eyes turned snow white.
