#580091 What is the Worst Manga Ending You Have Ever Read? Why?

Posted by The Illuminati on 04 March 2013 - 10:54 PM

Cage of Eden. Just so much disappointment.

Even more of a disappointment than Psyren.

Cage of Eden and Mx0...and Double Arts for that matter!raaage!!!!

Cage of Eden ended? I mean, I stopped reading after they figured out who the doctor was but still. I thought it was good for another couple hundred chapters.

#573683 Amateur/Student/Single Cooking Experiments

Posted by The Illuminati on 28 February 2013 - 12:29 PM

Hello All,

This whole thing started when Samael made a profile update about 'mysterious mush' and how it tasted pretty good (according to him =3). I won't bore you with the details
Spoiler
but it occurred to me that a lot of people throw random stuff together and call it cooking. So, I decided to start this thread to see what other experiments, horror stories and awesome inventions were out there. To get this thread going, I'll start by sharing a few 'inventions' of my own.

This one came about because I wanted a standard egg and bacon breakfast. By 'egg and bacon', I mean three eggs in a frying pan (salt 'n peppered) with two slices of cheese off to one side and the whole thing folded down the middle in the shape of a semi-circle, trapping the cheese between and four slices of cheap, store-brand ham fried in the same frying pan. And by 'breakfast', I mean two in the afternoon after a morning of MMO's or porn. xD How I came up with that recipe, another time.

As it turned out, the ham was finished, same for the cheese and I was in no mood to shower and head out to the store. Fun Fact: I hate leaving the house unless I've showered, taking out the trash is one of the few exceptions to this rule. So, looking around the house, I realized there was some left-over rice from the night before...

Yes, I did! At the time, it just made sense... Some how... Anyway, I fired up the trusty frying pan and tossed the rice in there once the butter was nice and melted (use low fat butter to cook instead of oil). When it looked about ready, I broke three eggs into it and continued doing it like it was an omelet. It was one of the most ridiculous things I've ever concocted but it was oh so good. Sex on a plate, I swear. I dubbed it a 'Rice Omelet' and... Actually, I'm going to try and make one after this. Left-over white rice with oil, this time. Wish me luck.

Another thing I made was... Well, save that for another time. =D

Before I go, I have to mention a friend of mine who was making rice on the stove... And forgot all about it. Apparently the whole thing caught fire and the flames were so high that the ceiling was burning. He said it was just like in a movie. xD When I came to look, a good quarter was black with soot. We laughed so hard.

Good times, good times.

Are in poor health, baby is six weeks early and momma has some kinda infection that forced the doctors to opt for a c-section.

But, other than that. They are doing great. :') Night, Night~

Ahahah. That song was so much better in my head. *sigh* I just sad how when you give 'life' to something, it looses a bit of it's magic. I'll write you a better one in a few hours. *snuggles*

This is the way Batoto loves you,
We're not pretending,
We wish you lots of stories,
All with happy endings.

This is the way that we wish,
Everyone's life will be,
But these few words are for you,
Mrs. Maia... Something, something,
[Insert Last Name]. xD

As I woke up this morning,
With a little something on my mind,
I thought it best,
To convey just how we feel.

There's no time to rest,
When you gotta know the deal,
We appreciate you so much,
Words just fail to convey the idea.

As we get older each day,
We drift farther from our ideals,
But no lack of love or hope or glory,
Will ever change how we feel.

This is the way Batoto loves you,
We're not pretending,
We wish you lots of stories,
All with happy endings.

This is the way that we wish,
Everyone's life will be,
But these few words are for you,
Mrs. Maia... Something, something,
Delinugami? xD

Not to long ago,
It was your special day,
We sent lots of greetings,
And best wishes,
Along with candled cakes and awkward kisses.

This is my card to you,
In which I hope to say,
Life is so much better with you,
Thank you for just being yourself.

Today and every day,
Love life, love love and love you.

Naifu

^ ... Distant relative whom I've never met.

What?! Thou knowest me not? Since the dawn, before the dawn and the first sunrise before that have I walked this potato forum. I was there when the east gave birth to sunrise and the north's pole sank beneath the waves. I was there when mother earth and father tree first embraced each other...

Who am I? I am the post preceding and the post postceding yours. I am your cousin, Khrazy One Kanabi.

You have inspired me to song.

...I did have fun. Then my mom made me flame for a birthday cake.... not really, but almost.... so many candles... -.-

Around the cake was you and...
And the momma and the poppa and the bro-bro and the sissy,
And the green, grass grows all 'round -all 'round,
And the green, grass grows all 'round,

And in that house -that great big house,
There was a bird -a big, yellow bird,
Whose name was Maia, Maia the Bird,
And she flew all 'round -all 'round,
And she flew all 'round,

So this great, big house... Was full of love...

I feel like a writing a poem... Ahem~

Long it has been, since the days of the beginning.
When none knew the way yet still more kept coming.

So hand-in-hand they walked, unsure of the future.
And thus, Batoto was born. Our mother, our savior.

A haven from the real world, a place of rest.
And there amongst the flowers our future met.

Love you Mom & Dad!

YES You're finally here! WELCOME WELCOME! Anni Obanee! This is teh one we promised to bring!

My coming was foretold? I always knew I was the anti-christ!

Yes, horror novels have existed before Steven King was born. :/

Whoops, I meant vampire novels. Last one that really made the headlines was the ‘Twilight Saga’. Before that… Dracula by Bram Stoker? I know there’s ‘The Southern Vampire Mysteries’ but to me, ‘True Blood’ came first or rather if not for ‘True Blood’ I would never have heard of the book it was based on. Not saying one is better than the other, mind you.

On a side note, I liked vampires back when they were rotting corpses who used hypnotism to make people think they were attractive. I also liked them more when they didn't have emotional attachments towards humans besides wanting to own them, or feast on them.

I often wonder what a vampire movie would be like if it were based on D&D, with vampires simply being a more advanced undead serving under a mortal master. It could start like a typical vampire film and as the hero progresses deeper, the conspiracy unravels!

I don't usually welcome people so you should feel honored, Yeah, I'm an asshole like that.

Oh Snap! Oh! Oooohhhh snap! *rolls around on the ground screaming like a little girl* My existence is validated. Before you, there was no sun, there was no reason. You give my life song with those sweet words…

Just kidding. Made me laugh, though. :D

#147601 Online MMORPGs

Posted by The Illuminati on 06 April 2012 - 04:21 AM

My paranoia was never about corporations trying to control me, it's just paranoia that MMOs are ultimately never as deep as they can be because they're marketed towards mass audiences.

I think that's a valid concern. I've even heard the same things said about Guild Wars 2 and how they bound skills to their weapons and made healing skills mandatory fr all professions. I was bothered more by the fact they lowered their rating which they explained was so the game could appeal to a wider audience.

I could suggest sticking to AAA rated MMOs but then you'd miss out on the indie stuff, like Runescape (never played it but I know it was a huge success). In the end, I guess it's like being in love; the relationship aspect might be tedious at times but nothing beats the butterflies in the stomach it gives you.

XOXO
