MangaDex: How about show just the last release of each manga in home page?

What I would love to see from Mangadex is a feature to filter by genre

Mangadex: I can read chapterd uploaded up to 2 days ago. Almost everything loaded 2 days ago and older seems to be broken.

Is on the to fix list. Give us time

Credit is a given, but the reason they like/ed batoto was because their release delays were respected and the releases weren't altered for the sites convenience. Not sure how mangadex is setup, but it looks like everyone and their mother can upload anything as they please. No group is going to endorse that practice as it's only catering to readers, which is nothing like batoto.

How some features are going to work:

Content uploaded and attributed to a group will be transferred to that group's ownership even if it is uploaded by someone else -- Groups will have final say on their content.
Official scans are going to be banned -- Once the moderation/report system is in place existing ones can be reported and removed.
Licensed series will be kept on the site at the discretion of the group who made them.

The coding still needs to be sorted out, but ultimately it's up to the group.

Honestly, right now MangaRock has the 1 feature I wanted -- which is "What is recently popular!?" , so I am going to take a closer look at it than MangaDex.
That being said, since I at least know that Dex was just established, I can expect some features to be added. Like "recently popular in the last 6 hours", thumbnail previews and actually having comments enabled, which is something that mangaRock is also missing right now.

Time will tell, eh.

Thumbnails are planned already, popular, random manga, etc are on the list too.

I just hope that the server is a little bit faster if loading images, it seems that its stuck at 1mbit download speed, while batoto utilize my 100mbit connection just fine.

And having a dedicated tab for follow list is a welcome feature.... or rather a must for us readers who follow more than 50+ manga.

The server is on a 1gb/s connection and pages are loading instantly almost for me on my 300mb/s connection.

If they could add forum and activity list of popular series to mangadex it would be great.

Both are included on the to do list, just bear with us while we get stuff sorted. A lot of the reported bugs were fixed today so new features will be coming soon.

Crediting people for their work is only fair! Sure as hell beats compressing their releases, throwing on a watermark and removing all mention of them... Sup aggregator sites.

One thing I am noting is that the rules say only Manga, Manhwa, and Manhua can be posted.

 

I can get not wanting to host the few OEL self-pub things Batoto has, but what about the Vietnamese, Malaysian, Thai scanlations on Batoto?

We confirmed on reddit that other stuff will be okay to post. Just haven't got around to updating rules and support needs to be added. The only think we want to avoid is western content.

There's several other rule changes that are going to be updated following discussion with groups in our irc channel #mangadex on rizon. Feel free to stop by if you have anything you want to discuss.

There's a lot of features people have requested and bugs that need fixing which will start to be rolled out soon.

Are you guys going to get to this soon? It's my second post requesting and I'm coming up on a year of asking for this without a reply
