That end part was rather surprising.   I didn't think his friend would be with his ex.

And not just friend, subordinate at work   >_<        Wow, that's gonna over great on the job, eh? What a decision to make, dating your bosses ex, and knowing he still pines for her no less.

 

The Miki-sama thing was a bomb too, though I guess it's no real surprise that the author would work her character back into the story somehow.
