I haven't heard that. I only know FRIENDS (Kyou no 5 no 2) version and AnoHana version, and I think this one is better.

Likely missed some...I know at least one is missing, but I can't remember what show it is.

I don't listen much to endings though, but the Kodomo no Jikan one is funny...also Baccano! is good. One of the only shows I know with both an awesome intro song and an awesome ending song.

Too many favourites so I can't really choose one.... how about "as of this moment" favourite?

This is an older piece but its definitely breathtaking to hear.
An actual opening piece that encompass what adventure and fantasy feels like, that even surpass the anime.

I don't remember when i fell in love with it but being a Maaya Sakamoto fan, I accidently found the video.
The moment I heard the song, I was enchanted by the magical feeling, taken into its every verse, and was whisk away into an unknown world with mythical beings on and long journey.
At that moment, I was like "ahhh that is what you call fantasy".
The opening animation that accompany the song made the anime seem better than it actually was.
The song is really a masterpiece in my books, it puts openings of today to shame.

Another OP theme that surpasses the anime. I dont' remember when I favourite it but its one of those music that once you hear it, you can never forget.
If you were to be part of an fantasy adventure anime, this is the song you would want playing in the background while you explore the world of beyond imaginable.
The build up so grand, just as your journey starts, the skills you hone and the people you meet, the vast lands that awaits you, treading into dark territories, unexplored treasures and routes along side your companions.
This song just gives me un-explicable and overwhelming chills to go out for an adventure
