After being a active person in Batoto (not forum wised) i decided to make an account to get my opinion / suggestion heard.

Instead of banning manga's with very strong sexual content why not just make it available for members with verified ages over 18+? Better yet why not inform them with a pop up of some sort that what they are about to read may have very strong sexual content? I just don't think it's fair that manga's with brilliant potential / good storyplot get banned due to a mere fact of sexual content. I mean if we go by rules these manga's still go under the genre Seinen, and If someone is reading a Seinen manga they should be concious of the fact that there may be strong images / etc in it.

And what good does it do to have a Manga listed under translated / in Batoto when you go there only to find the invisible chapters? What does that help proove? only helps people leave the site to find another site with the manga that has chapters listed under it? (For the Ignorant readers that don't care about the site, and use any as long as they read it, like those who use Mangafox , MangaReader, Mangahere, ETC)

Pros of allowing this:
- More Traffic in batoto
- Revenue for Translators
- Potential Inspirational Future Contributors to both The translator's groups and Batoto
- Manga / Mangwa is talked about / gets a name / popular in a way that the author gets a name in the Manga / Mangwha World
- Translators use batoto (Although many already do, i am indicating this towards those that translate very strong seinen manga's / manwha's)

Cons of banning them (manga's with very strong sexual content):
- Less Traffic in batoto
- Less Revenue for Translators / causes them to drop the project
- Author of Manga / Mangwa drops project
- Less Traffic to Translator's Sites
- Manga / Manwha is not known among huge population of readers (people that would usually know about these mangas / mangwhas)
- Less Revenue for Batoto (Let's be honest now, If the owner of this site didn't make any money (I am not implying the owner is doing this only for money in any way) then he must be a very generous Manga/Mangwha Fanatic that is spending alot of money just hosting a site like this, This website is filled with so many manga / This requires space, and space isn't free. Along with Servers to make this a quick free transaction for readers.

Hentai and Seinen are two different things, Seinen is a premature form of Hentai (we are only talking in terms of Sexual images displayed) It is not the full package. As you can see Hentai is a dark blue as i have put it to be, and Seinen is light blue, they're both blue but in depth they are very different. Hentai is more in depth of color then Seinen (in terms of Sexual Content displayed) is.

Also if we go by rules, then i only believe it is fair to remove these mangas / mangwhas:

Futari Ecchi
A example chapter, and this isn't even in further in the manga, this is shown right off.
http://vatoto.com/read/_/97602/futari-ecchi_v1_ch1-10_by_chaotixubs/124

Kiss x Sis
Due to natural occurances to the male body i couldn't complete this one because of Futari Ecchi.
These of course are just two (really popular so i chose these two out of the hundreds, and of course there are many more with even more depth then these)of them, but let's be honest i believe who ever has read these can conclude this is hardcore Sexual content under Seinen. So why is it that these aren't banned?

That is all i have to say, i do not mean to insult Batoto staff in any way, i am just doing as the category under this thread says "Suggest". Again i repeat i do not mean to insult anyone in any way nor am i trying to sound like a smart-butt.

Your pro and con are arguing for the same side. And the biggest reason for not hosting them if I am correct is advertisement. Advertisers don't want to advertise on site with those content and without them, there wouldn't be enough money to support Batoto. I believe the reason why some manga stay up and some doesn't is because because people have different standard of what constitute a manga with a good amount of depth versus though with fanservice after fanservice with shallow connection between them.

Well the worst is stuff where it becomes clear the author is a pedo or where it could have been a good story but it is clearly depraved with little kids being sexualized in some manner where you have to wonder how far they try to push the line to get away with it. I try to avoid whatever gives off that vibe. Why would I want to sit here and be part of that? In fact, for me I found this story gross and stopped reading it early on: http://vatoto.com/comic/_/comics/kanokon-r235
It could have been decent maybe? But why in the world that focus had to be there, I don't know, and I wonder why it is accepted. It is porn with a kid. And other books also like to go various degrees into what only a pedo would like. Why authors want to take little kids and make them part of some kind of sexuality in acts, or in fanservice clothing and postures, I cannot figure. A joke is one thing? But it is like there is this culture of people looking at drawings of sexualized little kids like oh wow, and authors catering to it either a little or a lot. It should not be accepted.

So, Berserk was removed, huh? I'm agree, then. It's unfair to delete awesome manga and in the same time let something like Lolicon Saga or Kiss x Sis be.
And how Gantz still here? Minamoto-kun Monogatari contains rape and incest. Sankarea is obviously a necrophilia. etc-etc. Now I'm kinda hope that SIU'll draw some boobs, just to see how Tower of God will be deleted too.

What!? Berserk is gone!? Oh c'mon...
I woulda never noticed if it weren't for this thread. But yeah, infringement issue, so nothing we can do.

On that note, I think THIS is also a good example for "y dafaq is this still here!?": http://vatoto.com/read/_/67789/wrestle-the-under-ground_ch5_by_animexis/21
I think this utterly beats anything into the ground on this site. In terms of mature content that is.

Correct.

We usually look at comics that are either reported or we notice ourselves and sometimes we simply don't notice potentially inappropriate comics there fore you can't judge appropriateness by what's already here as chances that we aren't aware of something you use as your standard. We look at each comic individually without comparing it to what's there and what isn't.

The comics we currently have are already limiting what advertisers we can use quite a bit as well.

There's tons of manga which violate this rule that batoto has yet they still aren't banned, i just find it unfair that these two obvious one's still haven't been banned yet others have been. I think in my opinion it's a matter of followers and viewers the more the viewers the manga has then they keep it, if it has a low amount trafficking then they close it. That of course is just a opinion of mine, i in no way mean to insult or offend or even imply anything against batoto.

Since Berserk contains raping trolls (real ones) and naruto is still here, I think it wasn't the case.

And on the advertisment matter, isn't that was true when batoto still worked with Google Ads? Now it's just bunch of random banners. It's hard to belive that those guys have some opinions about inappopriete comics.
Other manga readers somehaw manage to keep this seinen-sex-thing and they didn't have any financing problems.

all adsense companies have pretty much the same rules regarding sexual content , others sites choose to ignore such rules , but in the same time they keep flowing money into google from their ad shares , while batoto pretty much no longer has that option

I thought Google is the one with strong moderation.
If all the advertisers so strict, how mangafox manage to keep Nana to Kaoru and still has advertising on it?

Goodmanga has it too along with some other sites i think. Nana to Kaoru is Hardcore Seinen to the max...... It's literally 99.9%, almost at the boundary line to Hentai.

There's no sex or full nude in Nana to Kaoru, that you can't say about other manga that have been mentioned in the topic.

Probably it is due to being so popular and bring the advertiser a lot of money. It could also be that the advertiser doesn't check, and it's better to play it safe than keeping those manga up. If people have a problem with what stay up and what .is banned, I think it is better to message a mod and make a case there than to do it here on the suggestion forum

The images displayed in Nana to Kaoru speak for itself, yeah sure they have never been fully nude but the content of what they show is very in depth.

I'm sure with that logic you must have so much fun on the beach... I'm kinda jelly.

Anyway, you can have your opinion, but the facts quite simple: it isn't hentai without sex content.
Especially, compared with real hentai works by Amazume Ryuta.
