So there is a chance it will continue to work as long as the buyer wants it to, i just hope is not someone like say the owners of mangafox who buy it xD

the domain is like the least important thing in making a successor site (and there are a few attempts at that going on atm). if you haven't noticed, batoto itself went through a few domain changes in the past.

Well, the site might "work", but don't be surprised if you see a shoe store or something the next time you visit.

They're buying just the box (Bato.to), not what's inside of it (all the manga, forums, comments, databases, etc).

 

Either way, I suggest to visit the site with caution after the deadline - you never know what kind of people end up buying it.

Wow, I'm truly super sad to see this happen, I just found out about here and subscribed last september and it already became my single place to read manga. Super sad...

I didn't read very much here or participate in the community much, but it was nice having a website where I could regularly find updates on manga without worrying about ads. The comment section in the main manga pages were also nice for a laugh here and there.

Thanks for all the work you've done to make this site, Grumpy & Co.! Wasn't here for very long, but my stay was a pleasant one.

Thanks for all your hard work. It's been a good few years. I've never posted much, but Batoto has always been the place to go for manga.
It's a shame to see it go. Never has there been a better manga site, and there may not be a better one ever. But, get some rest admin, you've earned it.

Dangit, this is the only site i regularly visit as manga aggregator

 

Seems like I have to do the hard work again and by god if i have to visit some shady mangascan site to keep reading
