Wow... I'm gutted. I've been reading on this site since 2012. I do have other manga sites that I visit, but I always get really frustrated with other sites because they usually don't have a way of tracking manga you subscribe to, or if they have such a function, it's absolutely worthless...

 

All of a sudden, I don't really know what to do about my manga reading future. However, I understand that a site like this can be tough to run, especially more or less by yourself. I want to thank everyone in Batoto that kept the wheels turning. Thank you for putting out the best manga reading community and experience since the dawn of internet scanlators.

You said, you can find quality here, real one, this is the place to be for manga readers, I honestly don't know at the moment what am I going to do now, here I'm hoping that a new site will let me transfer my list, but I don't blame you at all, I only have gratitude for the staff in batoto, good luck on your life from now on, have fun!!!

Personally, I'd prefer Grumpy letting a backup/copy of the manga database go up without transferring our profiles over handing over the site to some random sysadmin. While I don't have any particularly private information on here the only reason I registered in the first place was because I was relatively confident in this place's security.

I don't think I have any right to complain, given that I have contributed nothing to this site and I have been just an user, but man, I'm still annoyed. Batoto has became so vital to the manga scanlation scene it'll leave a hole that will be hard to fill.

 

Thanks for your hard work all these years and let's hope it'll be replaced by something which doesn't have a single point of failure, or at least that point is not a single person.

Wow. This one lasted for awhile and was probably the best I've ever used. It's a sad day.

 

I've been reading less manga as time has gone on, but I still valued this site and there are still many great ones I want to get through, that I definitely won't finish in 10 days. I can find them on other sites, that much is true, but bato.to has a special place in my heart.
