Frisk

Before Frisk knew what was happening Akta, the funky medusa, had sneaked upon him and grabbed him from behind. He didn't understand what was happening, though he was roughly one hundred percent certain he was about to be eaten. And so he fought with all his might. In his minds eye he tore the snakes from her head and devoured them, granting him their magical power of snake-y writhing. They could writhe better than anything he'd ever seen. He wished he could do that. Sadly, in reality, this is not what happened. Rather than a heroic escape he just kind of thrashed about weakly for a second before tiring himself out and giving up. He blamed the earlier battles. It was their fault he wasn't at full strength. Curse those foul rabbits and their delicious, delicious meat! It was around this point he noticed that he wasn't, in fact, being eaten. Instead he was being slathered in some kind of liquid and then his wounds were being wrapped tightly in bandages. Before he could even figure out what was happening he was being released from his snake-y prison and just sort of stood there for a while trying to understand.

Instead of coming to an understanding, he simply decided to taste the liquid. He licked some off his arm. It was kind of bitter and it tickled his tongue. Frisk decided he liked it. As a bonus his wounds weren't actively hurting as much since the snake lady had attacked him with the liquid stuff. Maybe it was a good thing. He walked over to Akta, who had taken a seat in the center of her temple, and pointed at his tongue. "What's this?" He asked curiously. Not knowing, or even considering, if she would know he had eaten some. Then again, if this lady was the culinary genius Frisk suspected, capable of coming up with the idea to mix two tastes into one just like Frisk the Genius himself, then... Well... Maybe then she would be able to figure out what he meant. Frisk would have figured it out. Hell, Frisk was doing it. That's like, on a whole other level than just figuring it out. So he stood there pointing at his mouth and waiting for an answer.

"What's this?"

Pretty good first words Frisk.

Pretty good.

Rend

As they were skinning and gutting the monster, they found some interesting items inside it's belly. They were also familiar, looking just like the items that was in Brix's back, one of which was one she swiped, the black cohosh. Not that she knew the exact name of it, of course, only that it was quite useful. Once they were done skinning it, they dismembered it, making it easier for the others to grab want they wanted and eat. Through out the process, Rend kept a tight grip on the skin, essentially laying claim to it without saying a word to the others. After all, it could prove quite useful in hunts or she could even sell it back 'home'. She definitely wasn't going to let this one go.

Granted, the size of the beast means that there is a lot of the skin to go around. Seeing as Dar didn't seem to be going for the skin and Brix wasn't there, that meant it left the other two, the idiot with the mask and the one that follows, or drags him, as other potential suitors for it. Given how small the goblins were, she didn't exactly need all of it but by taking all of it, it would force the other two into confronting her, either into a deal concerning the other items or a fight should it not cross their minds. Until that happens, she'll continue her little farce and keep to herself. Taking one of the beasts legs, since its thigh bone looks like it might work as a weapon, and since there was two, she left the other one for Dar.

With that, Rend took the skin, one of the legs and some meat before retreating a little ways from the corpse, making sure to stumble a few times for effect, as she began feasting on the meat, blood and all. While she waits for the others to make their move, keeping everyone within eyesight, she took some of the beasts flesh into her mouth and swallowed.

....Tastes better than goblin at least.

Dar

As soon as they cut up the beast's belly, a swarm of undigested food spilled out. She recognized some of it as contents from Brixx's bag. There were those black leaves and eyes like seeds. She picked two of them, one for each of them and stored it on her rabbit skin bag that she had made. She also noticed Rend's expertise in skinning the beast alongside her. She could be a good help. Their efficiency because two fold as they easily finished the dismemberment.

She then placed her bloody scalpel back in her pouch while she eyed the others. Rend had taken a liking for the golden skin, the other two hadn't it seemed. She picked out the largest of the three remaining leg bones and started chomping on the meat that was wrapped on it. With Brixx, all the spoil sharing had been wordless and fun but she felt that these other goblins weren't that keen on sharing.

For now, this meant that she'd concentrate on the meat and finish eating. The spoils would be divided later. All else she wanted was some teeth and claw for a necklace nothing much. The Fey Wolverine was a big kill but it wasn't half as fun without having Brixx around. She sat near Rend's left as she wordlessly ate the thigh and a small rib stack. It was enough to sate her tiny ravenous stomach.

Bayaal and Fii

The beast slain, the four goblins began to divide up the beast amongst themselves. Fii and Bayaal helped Rend skin the beast, Bayaal wanted some of it at first but the vigor of the shady acting Goblin freaked him out and he didn't want to bother fighting her for it. Besides, as he continued to help debone the meat, he noticed just how useful some of the other parts were.

Bayaal took the Skull for himself. In fact, he decided he was going to take the whole spinal chord with him. Looking over at Fii, she grabbed the remaining Herbs on the ground as the Heart of the beast before anyone else could snatch it. Fii headed over to Bayaal to keep guard of their spoils while he detached the arms of the Wolverine. They could use them as weapons, coupled with the rabbit horns. Also grabbed some meat and brought it back for he and his partner to eat.

Looking up he was thankful for their help and decided to express this thankfulness. "Thank you both for helping us out. This fight was hard.". He scanned the area for the goblin with the bag but didn't see her. "Where did the bag Gob go? She saved Bayaal's life. Either way, we need to go back home."

Dar

As there was no quarrel over the spoils, Dar enjoyed a nice supper as she licked the femur clean of any meat and wiped the ribs cleaned as well. Giving them a  thorough lick for extra care she then put the ribs in her makeshift satchel and put the bone over her shoulder as a club before walking off from the group of the hunters that were still busy with their food. Dar had a lot to share with the Rock.

It was her one true teacher, he had given her the conviction to go out and hunt for herself. Had it not been for his blessings, his brethren won't have followed Dar's aim and hit their target true. She had lost her dear big rock that she had bludgeoned her first kill with. She would have liked to search for it but something in her stirred her to go straight to the cave. It was a foreboding that warned her. To stay out here alone at this time would mean her swift end. This was what she had felt.

She quickly wandered through the forest to find her track back to the cave. Once she managed to climb back to the exit, she slid back into the entrance behind the waterfall.

What she knew from her initial escapade was that there was a nursery where she was conceived but by no means that was the settlement. She had barely seen anyone older than her barring the white haired Goblin with Hoppy Legs of Doom and the tall green lady with strange large mounds on her chest. Brixx had been particularly fond of her. Maybe if she grew up to be like her, Brixx would like her too. She thought as she walked by the nursery towards the main settlement.

There she was instantly fascinated by the Red Stone forge, there was something about the air in there. It smelled of power and passion. She searched the area to find the largest being she had seen till then. Larger than the Fey Wolverine and certainly larger than White haired one from before. It also had strange mounds on its chest and canines too large for its mouth, much like herself. The being was beautiful and looked well put together, her skin giving of the feeling that it was as hard as steel and that the muscles underneath were defined and chiseled.

She gave out a stupid giggle as she placed a hand on her brown shabby mop.

"Dar brought bone, Dar wants to sell skin. Get big club to smash rabbits. Help Dar!"

Rend

The reaction Rend was expecting never came, which was a surprise since she figured they'd want the skin. Well, either way, it worked out for her since the Fur would prove to be quite useful to her in the future. With nothing happening, the goblins feasted in relative peace. After picking the wolverines corpse clean, the masked idiot and his minion approached and thanked them. It was laughable considering none of it was to help them, especially since she encountered it first. But even more so when the goblin confused the other goblin for a girl. Not like he could be faulted for it, goblins are dumb and ugly after all. There were some that could pass for either gender.

However, Rend didn't bother responding to the goblin. Instead, choosing to remain silent, stand up and head back towards the cave. After all, she had better things to do then converse with such creatures. First she had to find a to--someone to replace the recently departed Dong, then there was the matter with the furs and then the horns and bone. Rend decided that she could always find a new replacement so she gave it a lower priority and decided to see what she could do with the furs. She had the furs from 2 small horned rabbits and a medium one (along with their horns) and then the one from the Fey Wolverine. She didn't intend to get rid of it, but to see what it's worth and what should potentially get for it. Who knows, maybe there'll be something there that'll change her mind.

After listening in on a few from the settlement, she was lead to Salagheed's general store. With her goods in tow, she entered the shop and proceeded to the counter. It was a good thing she dumped Dong's remains before chasing the monster or there might've been a problem. Anyways, she undid the makeshift knapsack made of the furs and placed them on the counter as with the horns and also showed the Fey wolverine skin to see what she could potentially get for it. Rend also wanted to see what she could get for the horns but if not, there was always the blacksmith. Keeping it short, "Trade or Sell" she said simply.

Salagheed's Shop
Rend either couldn't see or she simply chose not to see the crowd that was slowly forming around her, as she made her way through the small village. From every window and street corner, goblinoids of all shapes, colors, and sizes came to see her. Or rather, they came to see what she was dragging behind her -- the unmistakable pelt that had only just recently belonged to the "Lord of the Forest".

For years upon years, the sly creature had terrorized newborn goblins (and had even managed to devour quite a few, inattentive adults) but no matter what anyone did, the beast would always escape back into the forest, to it's secret lair, before the goblins could organize themselves into a true threat. What was worse, was that once a goblin reached adulthood, they would quickly loose interest in hunting the creature, viewing it as a task better suited for the next generation -- for the weak.

And so once word had begun to spread that there was a goblin in town, a newborn at that, dragging the fur of the "Lord of the Forest" around as if it were nothing... Well practically everyone rushed out to see it. To see "who", and to learn "how" she had managed to do such an impossible feat. Because for many, killing the "Lord of the Forest" was like catching lightning or air -- it was impossible. But as far as everyone could tell, Rend had done somehow done the impossible.

Young and old alike lined the streets to see the miracle made flesh. To see what was left of the creature that had once haunted many of their dreams and nightmares. They all stared silently, a few even covered their mouths to hide a dead scream as they all suddenly flashed back to a memory of one childhood friend or another being eaten or maimed by the ferocious beast. One man even fainted.

Salagheed smirked broadly as he played with his chin-tacles, enjoying the display of power from his private window. The little goblin was certainly putting on quite a show, but only time would tell if it was all intentional -- or just a fluke. Either way, she was certainly someone to keep an eye out for. Not waiting for her to reach his door, Salagheed quickly moved downstairs and easily opened the door of his shop for their newest celebrity, bowing low as Rend strut passed him, dragging the fur and everyone else in the village into the small store.

"Welcome, welcome my friend. Yes. Yes, come right in. We're always open -- night or day. Profit never sleeps!" Salagheed said greasily, once everyone who could fit into his store was inside. The rest had to stand outside and stare through his windows, dirtying them with their filthy skin. Salagheed made a note to charge Rend extra for that.

Pretending as if his store was still empty, and he and Rend were the only only two inside, Salagheed made his way around his sales counter to assemble some blocks for Rend to use as stairs. Not missing a beat, she climbed her way to the top and promptly threw all of her valuables onto his counter. Salagheed made another note.

"Trade or Sell," Rend said shortly.

Salagheed had already priced everything as he watched her approach, then overcharged her for the mess he was going to have to clean up once she left. But it was the pelt that had really caught his yellow eyes, and kept his tongue still and his mind numb. He still hadn't quite figured out how to make this situation work to his advantage but time was running out, so he chose to play it by ear.

"Oh, my friend. What wondrous treasures you've brought me today," Salagheed lied as he nudged some of the horned rabbit bits out of the way. "So many treasures!"

"Now," he continued. "I can trade you some nice new armor and weapons, or I can give you... 400 gold pieces for everything." The crowd gasped, then went silent as they all watched and waited for Rend, to see what her reaction would be.

The Red Stone
"Dar brought bone! Dar wants to sell skin. Get big club to smash rabbits. Help Dar!"

Looking up from her work, Mocharr looked around and then down at the little goblin standing in front of her. She was playing with her hair shyly, but seemed eager to have one of Mocharr's weapons.

"Clubs aren't for smashing, little one," Mocharr said as she stopped beating her latest creation. "Clubs are for batting. Hammers are for smashing."

Wiping the sweet from her brow, Mocharr put down her tools and walked around to where Dar was standing, to see what she had to offer. Kneeling down in front of her as she did so, Mocharr was still more than twice Dar's height and three times as wide -- but Mocharr had a grace about her that made Dar feel like they were the same height.

"Hmm," Mocharr said, taking the femur. "I could do something interesting with this. Come back tomorrow, before you go hunting. I'll have it finished by then." Taking the other items as well, Mocharr offered Dar 50 gold pieces in return and told her to go to the temple to buy healing potions. Her armor and weapon would be ready in the morning.

"And next time, remember your manners. No manners, no service."

The Temple
"What's this?" Frisk asked.

"Troll Unguent," Akta answered without opening her eyes. "Trolls have regenerative properties, which is passed down to their feces. Which I collect it and use it in most of my medices."

The temple was silent for a long time after that.

Dar

Dar was spellbound by the charm that the large woman held. She knelt down in front of her, her voice soft as she appraised the items and offered her gold for it but there was a firmness in them that wasn't missed by the little goblin. It was then that she stood at attention and listened to whatever directives that the white orc had to give nodding everytime that she looked at her.

She accepted the gold with a gracious thank you and told the large woman. "Dar not strong in here." she said pointing at her thick skull, smiling broadly.

"So teach Dar manners. Dar wants to learn." she said earnestly before taking a look around the forge. Most of what she saw, she couldn't wrap her head around but she was sure that the might woman would craft something worthwhile with the large bone she had collected as prize. She said bye to her and went looking around for the temple that she had pointed out to her.

Finding the sanctuary soon, the strange cryptic pillars gave way to a large tree under which sat another creature with strange look & a person she knew. She wanted to interrupt but just previously, Mocharr had imparted a little lesson about patience, so she sat down near the tree looking at both of them. The creature had its eyes closed as it replied to Frisk so Dar just sat there till she would notice.

Strangely, the fatigue of her first day started to tug at her. Should she wait much longer, she would doze in the sanctuary. She had the pouch of gold tied inside her loincloth while many bruises marked her arms & face and a few gashes were on her legs & knees. It was a bit painful everytime her body forced herself to remain awake but probably this strange creature was capable of miracles.

Bayaal and Fii

The goblins finished their meals and headed back home. Bayaal and Fii both were satisfied with the day. Fii was simply happy to see Bayaal was able to fight and grow without fear. Bayaal we just happy he made it out alive. Wearing the mask, he felt powerful. Yet he didn't know if it was him or he mask that face him power. He always felt the his fear during every altercation. He kept it to himself and his mask allowed him to kept tings from those around. With his life always on the line, he felt stronger. With Fii, he felt like he could grow. Plus, he needed to protect her since she saved him earlier. With that, they arrived at the town, which was a lot different than the cave they were birthed in.

"We need to get better killing things, Fii. We need harder skin as well. Where do we go to make use of our stuff?". He said it as he lifted the long set of bones and headed towards some shops. But Fii decided she had other plans. "Where are you going?"

"I picked up this heart earlier and I am curious about why I did.". Fii said as she revealed the heart to Bayaal. She then put it back and continued. "Maybe something about this heart can help us survive out there.....Maybe. Or at least we can turn it into something to heal us."

Bayaal left her to her devices. Bayaal headed to find someone in one of the shops that could make some weapons and armor for he and his partner. Looking around, he saw a sign that read The Red Stone. He walked in, not knowing what was in there but, it was the first shop he saw so he just waltzed right in.

Looking around, he saw things in it that made him happy he walked in. Armor and weapon all over. All of the things he would need to survive. He saw large swords and and axes and shields and all things that looked amazing to him. He wanted them all yet he knew if he bought the wrong stuff, Fii would lay into him. She is quiet but she is very much his backbone.

"Big Gob, I have these bones and rabbit horns, what are my options to make these into protections and killing tools? Can I make something like a big big big Cutting killing tool?" Bayaal said showing off his gear with all of the bones and horns he got from the hunts.

––––––––

Fii looked around meticulously for a shop that caught her interest. She finally came upon a shop. Well maybe not a shop but she was drawn to the place for some reason. Walking up, she knocked at the door. She didn't know what to expect but she was about to find out. (She is at the Seer's place)

The Seer's Hut
Fii reached her hand out and knocked at the old, dwarven door. The simple act destroyed what little remained of the ancient artifact, shattering the stone carving into a thousand different pebbles before her eyes.

"...and I was just about to tell you not to knock," a voice sighed from within the darkness. "Oh well. Come in, child. Come closer. Let me see you."

Stepping over the pile of broken stones and into the ancient hovel, Fii was immediately surrounded by piles of strange books, scattered sheets of paper with disturbing symbols scribbled on them, multitudes of dying candles, and the unmistakable smell of blood and flesh -- lots of it. Turning to look back the way she'd come, Fii found that the mess of broken stones was now gone and that the doorway was now covered by various animal furs.

"There she is," spoke a pair of yellow eyes hanging in the darkness. "First daughter of... Well, we aren't here to talk about your parents. We are here to talk about you."

Stepping forward from the inky blackness of his hut, Fii could now see that Reck was much taller than her and very wirey. True to his rank-up's name, Reck wore the white fur of an unknown creature, with large horns on either side of his head. Beneath the fur, his skin was bronze and his hair was black.

"I am Reck, wise and powerful shaman of this village," the skinwalker said, taking a seat in the middle of the floor. "And if you've come to see me, then you've come to hear what destiny the gods have in-store for you. Or did you come to follow the path of skin-walking, and learn how to live in the shadows as I do? Before you can learn either, you must first pay me." Sticking his left hand out, towards her mouth, Reck told her to lick his palm.

The Red Stone
While Bayaal looked around the shop, Mocharr was busy finishing her business with Dar.

"Dar not strong in here," the little goblin was saying as she pointed to her head, smiling broadly as she melted Mocharr's heart. "So teach Dar manners. Dar wants to learn."

Mocharr fought valiantly against the urge to pull Dar into her arms for a crushing hug and kiss, and instead settled for placing her massive hand on Dar's small shoulders. A few minutes later and Dar was gone, leaving Mocharr to dab quickly at her eyes as she prepared for her next customer.

"Big Gob," Mocharr heard as she cringed, making her wonder to herself what sort of manners Vexx and the others were teaching this new generation. "I have these bones and rabbit horns. What are my options to make these into protections and killing tools? Can I make something like a big, big, big cutting-killing tool?"

"Good night," Mocharr stressed, before realizing just how late it actually was. Soon she would have to close for the evening.

Putting that thought aside for now, Mocharr took the items from Bayaal and inspected them for any defects. Once she was finished evaluating his loot, she asked Bayaal what exactly he was looking for. He quickly and easily pointed out what he wanted: a two-handed sword, a few daggers, and pair of medium armors. Being only a newborn goblin however, Bayaal couldn't possibly wield or wear half of what he wanted. So instead Mocharr offered to make him a bone sword (basically a two-hander, considering his small size) and some leather armor crafted from the hides of the horned rabbits he had just killed.

Once he had agreed, Mocharr let him know that everything would be ready for his hunt tomorrow. This meant that he would have to come back in the morning. In the meantime, she handed him a fifty pieces of gold to buy potions with or something else, like a few drinks at the bar tonight.

Bayaal and Fii

"Thank you Big Lady Gob!! This will help me and Fii a lot." He looked down at the gold he was given. Strange shiny things in which he learned he could trade for other things he may want or need. He really didn't think too deep on the concept. It wasn't like he had any prior experiences in his life to reference. Bayaal kept things simple and the simpler the better.

Looking up again, he took in the shop and everyone with a second glance. He was amazed at all of the craftsmanship around him. The artistry of the Mocharr showed amazed him. He wanted this skill. He needed this skill. He could make all the protection he needed, make his wall, impenetrable. He would keep the world away from himself. As long as the world was over there, it can get to him. It can't.

"Big Gob Mocharr, can teach me how to fold metal into killing tools and protections?". Looking at her behind his mask, he was shaking. He was unsure what her answer would be which made him all the more scared. What if she beats him? She was bigger and a lot smarter than he was. He didn't want to be yelled at for asking either. But he leapt before he looked and now he was shaking in his boots, frozen solid with fear.....of rejection.

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Meeting the Seer was a very eye opening experience for Fii. She saw everything that made no sense happening right before her eyes. Mind you, she was only a day old so she didn't know much at all but still, she was mesmerized by how the space unfolded around her. Fii knew instantly she was in the right place.

"What do you mean daughter of?". But the Seer just kept going as if she never opened her mouth. That sort of ticked her off but as she listened to him, she realized that he was much more than some crazy yellow guy. So she did as he was told and licked his palm. "Why did I......look, inhust eant to know if this heart can help me and my friend at all. What do you mean you can tell me about....huh?"

Rend - Salagheed's Shop

For some reason, the way the ugly creature talked annoyed her. The kind of annoyance one might normally want to slug someone over. But she kept silent until he finished. She especially didn't like the way he nudged away the horned-rabbit bits. They might not be nothing much but it was something she procured herself. Though, that's probably not being honest. More than likely, what she didn't like was him. His eyes, his words and just the feeling she gets from him. They do say that people tend to hate people who are like themselves, not that she'd know that saying but either way, she just doesn't like her.

From what she can gather from the flock of idiots that followed them in, the offer is supposedly good but she's not really convinced. First off, she only wanted to check the value and secondly, the gear didn't suit her at all. It would probably weight her down and get in the way. And Last, he paid no attention to her other items and his eyes were solely on the pelt she still held onto. The way he nudged the horned-rabbit pelts and horns made that clear. So does that mean he really wants it? Rend wasn't exactly itching to sell it, so maybe she could see just how much he wants it?

"1000 Gold" she countered with an absurd increase with an expressionless voice. Rend just wanted to see his reaction to it and see how much he really values it. Depending on how he reacts, and how he counters it, if he does, the price may change. If it's countered, the price change will also factor in. Since she countered with a price more than double of what he offered, she can see how honest he's being. After all, he took no time at all to give her a price, it was almost as if it was already decided beforehand. It brings her back to the previous point, he included all the items yet his eyes were on one.

Seems like a waste to her. Either way, she has no problem taking her things and leaving.

Salagheed's Shop
"One thousand, Salagheed repeated slowly through a stiff and forced smile. "Gold pieces..?"

The tiefling had to bite his forked-tongue just to resist his infernal urge to strangle the little goblin. Sadly, they weren't alone and he couldn't risk letting word get out that he was capable of murdering customers. That would be bad for business.

"Filthy little... How dare she challenge me?" In his mind, Salagheed was being far more than generous with the fithy, little creature. Thus she -- knowing far less than him -- must have been making some sort of crude joke. But no, she wasn't. Studying her face, Salagheed saw that her lack of emotion meant that she was being entirely serious, and perhaps knew precisely what she was doing.

"Very well," Salagheed thought to himself after a moment. "I'll play your little game."

"Five hundred." Salagheed said aloud, still smiling as he crossed his long, thin fingers.

"Mmm. Don't worry about it," Mocharr murmured as she wrote down the order.

"Big Gob Mocharr?" Bayaal suddenly asked after awhile. Looking at him, Mocharr raised her eyebrows to encourage him to continue. "Can teach me how to fold metal into killing tools and protections?"

"To be a blacksmith?" Mocharr asked, before answering her own question. "Sure, I can teach you to beat metal into something more useful. But if you want to learn how to craft leather armor, then you need to ask him." Pointing behind Bayaal, Mocharr motioned towards a grizzled goblin that had just entered her shop. He was tall, crazed, fierce and dripping with fresh wounds.

"HEY!!" Mocharr screamed. "Don't you dare bleed on my floor!" The goblin ignored Mocharr, staring only at Bayaal with his yellow eyes that looked more like a roaring furnace.

"So, you want to be my apprentice," The goblin stated waving he giant axe in Bayaal's direction as his smile grew so large it split his head in half. "Excellent! I was just hunting for some new meat."

The Seer's Hut
Reck ignored Fii's words, and instead focused on the heart of the fey wolverine. It was faint but he could clearly hear all the voices of the innocent goblins butchered by the beast over the years, crying out to be set free. But such things wasn't up to him. Someone else would have to choose.

"Mmm! The heart of a great and powerful beast. You were wise to take it -- and wiser still for bringing it to me. I can hear the spirits of your siblings and mine crying out. They wish to be set free. So now we must decide what to do. I can forge the heart into a powerful weapon for you to use, one that will only grow stronger as time passes. Or you can devour the heart and take it's power into your blood. Or... We can set these poor, lost souls free. Choose wisely."

The Temple
Dar felt herself tiring because Akta's discple and lover had cast a spell on her, to put her to rest while he worked to bandage the newborn goblin. Taking her in her arms, he placed Dar on a reed mat before cleaning and bandaging her wounds. He kept the bandages loose to allow the goblin to grow during the night as newborns always did. Dar would still need a second night of rest to reach adult hood, but by morning she would certainly be well on her way. With that in mind, the disciple left simple clothes for Dar to wear and cover-up her body.

Bayaal and Fii

Looking over to the bloodied goblin behind him, he was absolutely intimidated. He couldn't believe such a rugged guy existed. Let alone one who looked like he wanted to Eat Bayaal. Well, in Bayaal's eyes at least. Why is this guy covered in blood? Who did he eat? Am I next?!?!?!!. He was frozen in thought and fear. Especially when the goblins said he was just hunted some meat. Bayaal heard, [i]Exellent, I need to hunt some meat!!

"No!! You will not eat Bayaal!!" Bayaal struck a fighting pose he wasn't going to let himself get eaten. "Bayaal came here to be useful to Fii not to be lunch!!!"

––———––———––———––———––———––

Having been faced with a decision, Fii contemplated on the benefits of all. Each one just as appealing as he last, however, her heart was still full of joy and love, even though she has blood on her hands. But, that was for survival...right? The weapon seems like something she could make use of. Though, if she lost or broke it, it would be pointless. The prospect of having the souls join her body would give her such a great advantage and help protect Bayaal. She would definitely enjoy the power but if the souls reject her, it could rip her apart.....reject her?

"I think I like the idea of letting the souls be free. This is what they wished for afterall. As boring a choice it might be.....he he." she chuckled at the thought of Reck being disappointed and the look on his face if he actually wanted her to keep the souls for herself however, Fii is as careful as Bayaal. She isn't after power. Not at the cost of being with her friends at least.

Goblin Lark
- Bunn(t)y Hunter

Dear diary, here's a quick recap of Lark's day today: Kill, eat, and plunder an elder Goblin? Check. Raise a small army of four other Gobs? Check. Get food? Check. Get fur and makeshift weapons? Check. Get a way too lively 'food' back home? Hell yeah we're gonna put a huge CHECK on that one! Triumphant return? You bet'cha!

Heaven knows what a proud face she was wearing when she reached the mouth of the cave the goblin called home; her boastful gait when everybody present saw that she was returning with a live Antler Rabbit in tow, along with enough rabbit meat to feed a small family of Goblins and other random tidbits. And boy oh boy, we haven't even got to bright, wide grin she beamed old grandpa goblin with as she realized that the old bloke had noticed her accomplishment that day.

Still, when so many good things happen at once, there bound to be something bad to counterbalance it. And in Lark's case, it was the Antler Rabbit suddenly decided to be a dick and try to escape, humiliating Lark in the process. Seeing that the female Goblin had let her guard down, the beast started to trash about, and once it shook Biggs off its tail, it dashed towards the exit. Thankfully, before it managed to do what it set out to do, it was stopped by a familiar face, who punched it straight on its nose, rattling the beast and giving Lark and Biggs enough time to pin it back down.

"Wedge! You're back!" Lark shouted excitedly after realizing who her mystery helper was. While they're littered with scars and wounds, the minion gob seemed to have survived his first day of the hunt. While they did not bring any extra meat or pelt, he had a rabbit horn on him to show that his group too, had their share of successful hunts. All is well in Lark's small army, it seems. Except she didn't see Poop anywhere? Oh well, maybe the big guy is taking a piss outside or something. She'll hear all the story from Wedge later on.

The only thing left to do would be to.. discipline.. the rowdy Antler Rabbit. Using the extra pairs of hands, Lark dragged the gigantic (by her standard, at least) beast to her base (marked with a makeshift tower of goblin remains from Lark's first hunt of the day, remember?) and decided that the curved ribs had better uses than being a simple monument. Having plucked two of the ribs out of its resting place, Lark sauntered back towards the now-frightened rabbit with an ominous smile plastered on her face. Then, without any warning, she drove one of the ribs down the rabbit's left foreleg's wrist. And without heeding its pained screech, she drove the other rib down the poor beast's right foreleg, making it impossible for it to move without hurting itself more. Much more.

Having sent both her minions to the nursery for care, Lark turned to the rabbit for a one-on-one talk. Staring dead at the rabbit's eyes, Lark whispered, "Notti rabbit.. Do notti things one more time, and more pain will come". Then, taking out a small bit of meat from her fur package and dangling it in front of the pained rabbit, she continued, "If you be nice, Lark give you food. OK?"

She was not sure the rabbit understood her, but eh.. Everybody understand what food is, right?

The Seer's Hut
The Seer sighed loudly, obviously disappointed with Fii's decision. It was power she had earned but had now decided to just throw away, to be lost and forgotten forever. But again, it wasn't his decision to make or his path to walk. So he stood himself up with another sign before busying himself with the gathering of the necessary materials that he would need to perform the cleansing ritual and binding circle that they required.

Once he was finished, Reck used a portion of the items to create a magical circle on the ground. It was in here that the freed spirits would be trapped temporarily, giving them a voice with which to thank Fii for freeing them. With that done, Reck moved on to the cleansing ritual. He began by adding the heart to a bubbling cauldron near the back of his hut. To this he added a few more items, and said a few words. With that, the spirits were freed from the curse of the fey wolverine.

They swarmed the hut, filling it with mist that was slowly drawn to the magic circle. Fii felt the mist brush up against her skin, cold as ice -- cold as death. Once they were all trapped within the circle, the mist took the forms of various goblins but they spoke with one voice and offered Fii a reward for freeing them, one of three wishes: Wealth, Love, or Sacrifice.

The Red Stone
Mocharr and Wargo both stared at Bayaal as the tiny goblin hopped back and forth with his fists raised high and ready for a fight. The sight of him jumping back and forth like a trained horned rabbit was just too much for poor Wargo to bare as he grabbed his belly and exploded with laughter, splashing his blood everywhere. Wiping the tears from his eyes and deciding that he was impressed with Bayaal's resolve and bravery, Wargo pulled the newborn goblin to his side and dragged him away towards the only bar in town for a well-deserved drink, clapping Bayaal on his back all the way as he continued laughing.

Behind them, Mocharr grabbed one of her throwing axes and tossed it at Wargo for getting blood all over her shop and items. Now she would have to spend the next few hours cleaning up his mess before getting started on the orders for tomorrow. The steel axe caught Wargo clean in the back of his head, burying itself deeply into the back of his skull. The berserker didn't seem to care or notice however, and continued laughing.

Fluffy
"Oh ho!" Fluffy exclaimed excitedly as he suddenly appeared behind Lark. "That's a very nice catch, and a subspecies to boot! Those are quite rare. And powerful. If you can tame it, it will be a life-long and worthy companion. So tell me, how was your first trip into the forest -- and where is your friend? Roop, was it? It's almost dark but he hasn't returned yet."

GM: OOC
Sacrifice: Fii can give up a portion of her life energy to allow the goblins to be reborn. This will shorten her life but give Bayaal two more minions to control.
Love: The goblins will tell Fii where she can find a powerful mask to give to Bayaal, increasing his confidence.
Wealth: The goblin ghosts will tell Fii where she can find buried treasure.

Dar

Finally Dar succumbed to her fatigue, slowly but steadily it had tugged at her consciousness. As if taken over by a spell she let herself go what happened next was mostly a blur. She could feel that she wasn't alone, the moist warmth that was slowly enveloping her bruised arms & legs was something foreign to her own body. The gentle touch on her forehead & tracing of her muscled arms meant that she was in care of someone.

But who? She knew that she hadn't seen the tentacled creature move. Was this its power? Was she really the miracle lady. How was Dar sure that the creature was a female? Well maybe it was the intonation of the way Mocharr had said her name plus Akta sounded a weird name for a male. As the last of her consciousness slowly dripped away, she fell into a deeper slumber. Her body going limp.

Suddenly, she found herself in a field. There was Brixx the Handsome, in all his primal glory & that mesmerizing smile but all grown up. He had rippling muscles & a full maw, his ashen color now almost black, he had a presence of authority about him. There was Frisk the Curious, dressed weirdly but bigger like really big but lean. As if he was all muscle, he had a pendant around his neck, in it the greatest teacher to ever walk this earth. Their mentor & lifelong friend 'The Rock'. There were symbols carved into the great one, he had slowly revealed his true form to the great man & then there was Mocharr the Saintly, she had an almost motherly warmth around her and, a smile so disarming that it almost melted Dar. She had this sudden urge to just go & hug the big orc.

As she raised her arms, her eyes scanned herself. Her nails were bigger, almost like claws & her arms were taut. The muscles inside bulging & veins a plenty sprouting like rivulets. There were strange mounds on her chest, much bigger than even Vexx or Mocharr , she wondered how she was able to stand. Further down it was the same story. There was new found muscle & a certain girth to her that evened out the difference in size with her teacher. But what was most surprising was her skin, it was a shining red; as if the flames of Mocharr's hearth had fashioned her. There was an anvil in front of her & a large lump of something silvery in her left.

She just had to pound it into a thing worthy of her passion. Each swing brought about many tiny sparks. Sparks that strangely resembled her little self, each baring a toothy smile as they danced round the edges of the metal she pounded. There were a few more seconds or maybe hours that passed & then there was blackness.

Was this the sign of things to come? Who Knows!

Goblin Lark

Lark ran as fast as she could. It concerned her little how the surrounding became darker as the sun get lower. Nor does the fact that she was traveling alone, followed by dozens of eyes of starving fellow goblins who had failed to fill their stomach on their first day of hunting; far from the safety of numbers she had thought to be the most important thing to survive in this cruel world.

"And where is your friend? Roop was it? It's almost dark and he hasn't returned yet."

Those words of the old one was playing on repeat inside her head. It haunted her, incessantly and mercilessly as she darted towards the nursery.

"Wedge! WEDGE!" roared the little Goblin as she arrived at her destination. And upon finding her objective, she quickly dragged the poor soul to a corner and slammed him onto the wall. "Poop. Where is he?"

It was a simple question. Yet Wedge found himself unable to answer it. Instead, he could only avert his gaze from Lark's face in fear and shame. He could not tell his leader that Poop is no longer alive. How could he? Knowing full well that Lark was close with Poop, it would not be weird for the ferocious Gob to snap his neck on the spot.

Then came the next question.

"Did you kill him? Eat him?"

What? No! How could Lark even think of that? Even in his wildest dream there is no way he would not kill and eat his friend!

"WEDGE!" harked the female goblin again, snapping Wedge out of his confusion. "Answers. Now."

It was then that Wedge realized that Lark was completely serious with her accusations. She wanted explanation, and if she failed to obtain it, she would assume the worst and act accordingly.

"... Dead," Wedge finally answered in a weak voice.

"What?"

"HE'S DEAD, OK? THERE'S NOTHING I CAN DO ABOUT IT!" replied Wedge, now in a full volume. Then, having calmed himself down, he continued his story. "There were these horned rabbits appearing out of the blue, three of 'em. We fought the best we could, but a big one gouged Poop in his eye during the fight. There was blood everywhere. He went limp and I ran with my life! There. The truth. Happy now?"

Happy? No.. Of course Lark was not happy with it. What is Wedge even thinking? Does he even have a brain to think with?

Filled with rage and frustration, Lark punched Wedge in the face, knocking the poor soul off balance and skidding across the floor. What went wrong? Just like her and Biggs, the other team were also comprised of two goblins, one big and one small. They were also similarly equipped. Yet Lark and Biggs were successful enough to bring back lots of meat and, most importantly, their life intact. What was so different between the two parties? Why would Poop and Wedge be in such a big trouble when their situations should be almost identical?

Unable to come up with an answer, Lark decided to call it quits for the day and walked back to her sweet spot by the captive rabbit. Before she left, however, she made time to walk towards Wedge and helped him get back up on his feet. "Sorry Wedge. Poop's not your fault. We talk again tomorrow morning," she said before saying her goodbye to the crews.

The next morning, Lark held a tactical meeting in order not to repeat the same tragedy of Poop. It was then that their merry little team was joined by two other female goblins: Fang, who was rather big and beefy for a girl; and her sister Lun who was a complete opposite of her: small, scrawny and oozing an air of timidity. From what Lark could gather from Wedge's explanation, it seems that the main contributors of his team's downfall is in combat tactics.

Unlike Lark's team, Poop and Wedge did not pay much attention to their surrounding. Thus, unlike Lark who could kill or weaken the opponent before they even get a chance to retaliate, Wedge and Poop were forced to fight on equal grounds. Then they also failed to coordinate their attacks and strategically hunt the opponent one-at-a-time. And then there is also the matter of combat proficiency. It seems that despite being small, Lark is evidently more adept at fighting than her teammates. Biggs noted that Lark could kill a horned rabbit in a single hit when he required two during their first encounter in the forest.

To summarize, the key points to a successful hunt is as following (according to Lark & Co., at least):

1. The first to strike is the first to kill

2. Kill the enemy one at a time

3. These black thingies they got, and the shiny round thingy as well; can change the tides of a battle greatly

4. Individually, they need to be stronger or at par with their prey

5. When you think you cannot win, run

With that in mind (especially point #4), Lark decided that it's time for the team to pay the Red Stone a little visit.

Rend - Salagheed's Shop

From the looks of it, not even the tiefling expected her counter offer, trying as he might to maintain a smile as he repeated it. It wouldn't take long before his smile became more relaxed and countered with an increased offer from his previous one. She succeeded in getting him to raise it, However, it was only a slight one. Rend, in her usual dull tone, "500? Has old age made your ears useless? I do believe I said 1000." Putting more emphasis at the end.

Outwardly, she's the same as ever. Expressionless and still as a rock. Inwardly, however, a storm was building. Regardless of whether his offer was fair or not, it has now became a battle between the little goblin and the older tiefling. "1000," she repeated louder. "But I'll tell you what, I'll give you a discount. How's 999 sound?" Not intending to back down, Rend remains firm with her, using the latest counter to add further insult to injury.

Bayaal and Fii

The Seer was disappointed with Fii's answer. She could have been a powerful warrior for the tribe, instead, she gave up that power instantly for a selfless act. In her mind, doing what the spirits wanted was far better than forcing their submission. Besides, power is something she wanted to gain alongside Bayaal in her own way, not as a gift. Somehow, she knew she would only be a crutch to him if she became so powerful so fast.

The Seer began the ritual. All of the room changed as the souls of the dead filled the room. Her eyes never shut as she could see and feel everything around her. It was both amazing and scary at the same time. Her short life had experienced much but it was with this short life that Fii would learn that the place she lived was filled with amazing and beautiful things.

As the ritual came to a close, the spirits offered her three choices as a gift for setting them free. They gave her three options: Sacrifice, Love, Wealth. Not really knowing what they meant in relationship to what was going on, she thought about how these words meant to her. Inside she knew only one answer made sense, "Love."

The answer rewarded her with directions to a place where a legendary mask laid. Hearing these words got Fii excited, her friend would gain a mask that would be even better than the mask he owned currently. She jumped and hugged the Seer and quickly ran out of the hut to find her friend to tell him the good news. "Thank you Seer!! Your the best.". And off she went.

As she ran through town, she spotted Bayaal being carried off by a scary looking goblin covered from head to toe in bloods. Bayaal was of course struggling to get free and with no weapons, his small goblin muscles were no match for his full grown senior. Yet, the guy had a look in his face of one of glee not one of bad intentions. So she smiled that Bayaal made a new friend and followed them to the cavern.

At the cavern, Wargo introduced himself to Fii and Bayaal finally settled down. They drank and enjoyed the storied Wargo had to tell. Fii decided to not to tell Bayaal yet but she would at when they were alone. Bayaal happily told Bayaal that he was going to learn to make weapons and armor in which this time he used the words weapons and armor. Then he looked at Wargo and asked the obvious question, "Why are you so bloody?"
