I considered posting in the ooc, but nothing of interest came to mind. My character doesn't have questions for our man here - but I wander if I can do the equivalent of a Knowledge: local, or Knowledge:Nature, or even Knowledge: Arcane here to see if my character, with his knowledge, would have an idea of who did the thing. What would we know about this situation that we wouldn't ask our local nervous sweaty person?

Hmmm, that is something you could do in pathfinder alright. I think that's a neat idea, I just don't really know how to quantify that sort of thing--I don't want to add any stats to this, since that really just muddles things in games like this I think, but some sort of equivalent should probably exist. I could always just roll for you without any dnd-esque modifiers (and with DCs lower as a result) if you'd like to roll that sort of thing--and so I'll just go do a sort of local check for Aiolos now. In the future, if you want to know if you know anything like this, just ask in OOC for me to make a check for you. :^)

 

Unfortunately, the roll I made was a fat 4. As such I'll say you don't really know much. If there's a sort of character you think you would know based on your backstory that you'd like to ask about this, we can certainly make that into a scenario as well.
