A bit late, but can I clarify a few things:
- When you say we are in a holding pattern, we are simply moving around a path somewhere above the path of the Tradesman, correct?
- Are there clouds obscuring anything right now? Referring to Hawk's post. Since we're in the desert, I assumed most clouds to be wispy and about 20k feet high.
- With both points above, how exactly are we hiding from the Sky Scorps? Are we trying to surprise the pirates at all?

The Dagger is currently keeping a steady speed roughly 1000 feet above the Tradesman, hiding in the glare of the midday sun, so any ships that approach from the mountains will only see the merchants. There are some scattered clouds of varying thickness about, but not really enough to obscure a ship by themselves. The plan is to be eyes in the sky for the Tradesman, and if the Scorps appear to intercept them as they move in on the transport.
Should be a pretty simple & clean engagement, the Scorps aren't actually that difficult an enemy. They just hide in the mountains really well and the Navy is too lazy to spend the time or resources to go flush them out.
