I'm glad I-Am-X pointed out that there are no humans. Because the whole time I was reading I was thinking "Wait a sec... I"M HUMAN!!" So I went to my CS just to be sure it was clearly visible, and it turns out I forgot to put a race.

 

So thanks for the unexpected help X, and I'm sorry for doubting you.

So you want to learn more about me, eh? Well, where should I start then? My life isn't that episodic you know. I was that usual young kid that inspired to be an adventurer, with the amazing stories and wealth - also poverty - that it comes in tow. I loved listening to my father's tales where he used to go down the dungeon and fight. The monsters he fought and the friends that he had made and lost. I always got so mesmerized by the imagination he brought towards me when I was little. My father eventually met this beautiful elf woman and after a few moments of fighting together, they settled down. But aside from all that, I was nothing more than a basic generic child character who was an half-elf. Plenty of full-blooded elves don't like half-elves, but whatever man, I don't want their input on the matter every time they set eyes on me. It is as if they have no sense of privacy and respect.

 

As I grew up, I realized that I am pretty good at almost everything. I say good, because I am not great nor bad at anything. I'm just well-rounded, and it gets the job done. Obviously, there was always someone else that is going to do great in any of the fields. So when it comes to the basic day-to-day jobs aside from adventuring, there is always going to be someone that is better and will replace me. This always drives a certain fire within me to push on and try to get better, but to no avail. I shouldn't feel too bad about it since there are people that do worse than me in a certain field, but it still feels like a curse to me. I don't have a really huge weakness, but that itself is a weakness if I'm not an expert at something, no? I'm strong but not the strongest, and I'm fast but not the fastest.

 

This, in turn, leads to Dagda and his familia. You see, Dagda is this "God of Good" and not the "good" as in "morally good", but in the sense he was just good at just about everything. And for Dagda's familia, the people there especially are just very much good at everything, but they're no specialists. See the connection there? There was little to no surprise if I got into Dagda's familia, I was just meant to be there. So as I finished my training with my experienced parents, I was finally set out to start my adventure. Then, out of the blue, there came that certain invitation to Dagda's familia... and  alongside it came a personal letter just for me.

Bam! The most boring character I ever made (stat-wise) with a gimmicky - especially dangerous - skill, because no reason! This would probably not slide! But hey, I tried. It is also very similar to X's skill so there is that going, but if there is any other idea that can help support this jack-of-all-trades, I would appreciate it.

 

 

I'll just trust the almighty Dagda to spice things up for my character's skill set in the future. You can determine the % increase. Maybe higher tiers grants a different/stronger bonus effect?

As for the skill, it won't be a set percentage. At least not right now. I'd need more time to get a grasp on how much EXP I'll be handing out in general, and how often and stuff, before I could set a hard percentage on the skill. You'll definitely feel the effects though.

@Everyone: I have added Dionysus to the people section. I also started on the intro post. People will still be able to join once it's going. So now worries about that. Don't feel rushed anyone or whatever.

Bio:
A weak owl-boy, a long time ago used to dwell in the Simen forest of the not-so-wild beasts by the name of Svend. He was one of the many animal-men that lived in the sizable settlement of Lorinc but of quite a smaller frame than the other children his age. Svend was naturally the most popular victim of bullying, the pack of children led by the frog-boy Ignac. They would shoot pebbles at him with their slingshots and pull on his feathers, he would scream and plead them to stop but they never listened...never.

This would continue till his 14th birthday, the happiest so far. It was full of his favourite gift...food cooked by all the maidens of the community for the party at night.That went prosperously as well he had his share of enjoyment and Ignac’s group hadn’t bothered him once, he felt a tingling sensation in his gizzard, something was definitely afoot. After he went to sleep in his tent at night, the boys came and sacked him, as he tossed and turned hooting as loud as he could but it was too late, they tied up the sack and ran out into the deep forest and threw him far away after untying the sack. The boys fled, leaving him lying on the grassy floor of the forest weeping, too tired to move.

Svend woke next day dirty, with a salty face. He finally got up after a long struggle with his body and looked around in hopes of finding a way back to the settlement. His sharp owl eyes helped him spot the footsteps of Ignac and his pack of bullies, he pursued the long path and reached at evening seeing all the residents with stern faces pacing around and the elder screaming at the pair who happened to be responsible. He entered through the gates and fainted but was immediately tended to. He woke in the middle of the night breathing heavy, and decided he needed to change things around here, he had to become strong enough so that he would never be pushed around again. So he packed his things, folded his tent and headed deep into the forest without a word...

In the next 5 years, he exercised intensely, his daily regimen consisted of 2 laps around the vast forest, hunting or harvesting food, 50 push-ups and pull-ups. He would it in the hottest days of the summers and the coldest days of the winter. Something had changed in Svend, he felt this warm feeling in his gut, he felt...strong. So he headed back into the settlement, and saw that it had become a flourishing city. But right in front of his eyes Ignac and his boys were harassing a lady. They were older now, they had fine uniforms and swords they were probably part of the police. They looked at him and smirked, and came up to him and discovered the mountain of meat he had become. Still optimistic...one of them nudged him but Svend didn’t move at all. He stared the wolf-man in the eyes and then grabbed his arms and shattered them through and through. The others tried to flee, so Svend swiftly grabbed the crossbow from the recent victim’s back and loaded it like a natural... took aim and fired the bolt. The bolt hit Ignac precisely in the achilles tendon true to Svend’s aim. He surprised himself with his skill.

Svend strolled over to Ignac looking him in the eye with a feeling of superiority, his childhood’s nightmare lay in front of him ribbiting in fear. But Svend didn’t slay him to make sure he would repent and to prove he was better. When Svend moved his gaze, he saw the folk staring at him in utter horror, So he left never to return but wrenched from Ignac his bolts and left with the bloodied crossbow he claimed as his trophy never to return...the weak owl-boy was no more.

Ever since, the crossbow he wields has only gotten bigger and his will stronger. He has a large roll of tape so that he can tape the most outrageous things to his bolts. His lighter allows him to set his bolts on fire or maybe his foes...

Do you want the skill to be bonus Archery skills in general? Or is it all about the faster reloads with big ass crossbows?

 

Also, you don't have to pick from the current Familia's. You can pick a brand new god if you'd like. There's probably a god out there that's awesome for Owls. Like, I know Athena has one as her symbol. There are probably more too. Just putting it out there in case that wasn't clear in the CS. >.<
