Are there any problems with me uploading them?

This topic was made to confirm if the content of a comic is appropriate for Batoto or not.
If the comics are on Batoto already (with chapters uploaded) it's fine to continue uploading. (e.g. Hunter x Hunter) you don't need to ask for permission for this.
but:
Even if the content is appropriate, it still depends on weather the scanlators allow rehosting or not.

Like it seems to be the issue for High School of the Dead:

High School of the Dead is fine content-wise, but the main scanlator for that does not want it hosted because it is licensed, therefore it is not allowed on Batoto if it is done by that scanlator (forgot which group it is...)

Do you even have doubts about whether they could be considered 'not appropriate' for Batoto considering the criteria I mentioned in the opening post, Saphsin?

I don't really understand your questioning..... there has to be like hundreds of manga on here that have more explicit sexual material than High School of the Dead but to answer that:

• Is genitalia shown No
• Are children being exploited? No lolicon
• Are there explicit sex scene? (i.e., very little or nothing at all is left to the imagination)? No actual sex scenes
• Are there excessive sex scenes (i.e., every chapter has a sex scene, or most chapters focus on sexual acts)? No
• Does the comic possess redeeming qualities beyond the sexual content (i.e., is it merely fapping material, or does it have an actual storyline and plot)? Yes, the ecchi content is merely fanservice
• Does the sexual content enrich the storyline, or is it simply for pornographic purposes? I don't know exactly how to answer the question but it should be fine
• Do you think that you would be grounded for life, and or killed by your parents, if you were caught showing this to your 12 to 15-year-old sibling? That depends on the parent I guess......

I am planning to upload both sequel and prequel.
And is it okay to combine the sequel and prequel.
I did combine Rozen maiden 1 & Rozen Maiden 2 into a single entry in batoto

I'm actually not sure what mhh is asking, but saphsin, I think you are confused. You're still asking us about High School of the Dead. We have already answered this.

High School of the Dead is fine content-wise, but it is not allowed to be uploaded on Batoto because the main scanlator group that did it doesn't want licensed comics to be re-distributed. And they are the only group that I know of that has done High School of the Dead.

Thus, HSotD is de facto not allowed on Batoto, but not de jure.

I think it's probably okay to upload that F/SN comic. I wouldn't combine it, because it seems like they're treated as two different series, so it causes issues with chapter/volume numbering and also just generally, they're two "different" stories..

No it's easy to understand that but I think I misinterpreted his question looking back. I thought he was still asking me about whether I still thought the content was ok or not.

Whether or not they're active or not is irrelevant. Their rule stands to the end of time.

Problem is that we have no way to verify something once they're long gone and we have the default rule of "allowed". If their status is confirmed as not allowed and they've disappeared or w/e, it's still not allowed.

that says no we arnt allowed to upload unless you can beg for permission but i don't recommend it i don't think they are type of group that will play nicely so i think those files will just have to be left out and unless and admin or mod corrects me i dont think you should upload it

Yes, I did. But not regarding to HotD, since I thought that was already answered.

You didn't only ask about one series. What made me ask that question was that, I briefly checked two out of the other series you asked about and none of them had the genere tags Adult, Borderline-Hentai, Hentai or Lolicon.
Therefore I was unsure why you even asked about them.

If your question was about the group hosting polices, this topic isn't quite the right place to ask this.
