Looks good but the Footwork skill is redundant in my system, change for something else or define what you want while considering it. Everything else look like a good start. On second thought, I think double fatigue is rather harsh. Make it 1 Fatigue point per two posts.

Name: Deirdre (Pronounced "Dare-Dreh") Domhnaill

Bio: Born in the City of Armagh to a family of Merchants. Since she was a kid, she had a strong sense of Justice and an equally strong desire to help and protect those less fortunate. No matter the danger to herself, if she sees someone she's able to help, she wouldn't even think twice before rushing to their aid. It didn't matter how big the target was nor how strong they were, whether she was able to beat them or not, she'd charge in and break up the fight. Due to this nature, she got herself into a good many amount of fights. While many who hold a sense of justice are against fighting, she loves fights and other bouts of strength. Some say its a contradiction, she disagrees. What's wrong with a good fight? People spar all the time!

 

Suffice to say, ever since she was a child, she has been quite the tomboy and quite the leader. I guess you can say that she just has that 'aura' that attracts others to her, whether out of respect/admiration, looks or even both. Aside from her parents, she has a sister 7 years younger than herself, Faye. Well, technically speaking, they're not sisters, if you're technical about it, in a way that they don't share the same blood. Regardless, she views Faye as her little sister and cares for her greatly. As how they first met, it was 7 years ago when Deirdre was out traveling with her parents. Being that they are merchants, they'd occasionally travel out to distant lands to find new wares or peddle their own. It was around when Dee first started traveling outside of Armagh with them, she had been wanting to go before but was unable to due to her parents strict rules regarding her education. In time, she was finally able to go with them and so they went.

 

One of the last stops on their journey was the Port village of Meath, a village that her parents have stopped by many times in the past that was near the border, a village went to once during his time journey. However, Just outside the village limits they were met by the screams and cries of fleeing people and the sounds of flame and destruction....and death. As her parents encountered someone they knew and asked for answers, Dee was already gone. With her natural sense to help kicking in, she headed towards the village. Come to find out that the village was attacked by a gang of Orcs and were slaughtering people left and right. Staying out of sight, Dee wandered through the village to the horrifying sight of blood and corpses everywhere the eye can see. And as she turned the corner, that's where she first seen her. The one that she'd come to know as 'Faye' was getting dragged who knows where by an Orc via her hair.

She was a small girl that couldn't be much older than 6 or so. Maybe 7 or 8, who knows, but either way she needed to be saved but the question was, how? He was an Orc and their monstrous in height and strength and she, while strong as a female human, was a mere fly to this beast. Luckily he was alone, but she still needed to figure out a way to stop him. But it got much easier when she realized that the Orc was drunk! When she was following them, she found a rope and with their being quite a few rocks, she had a plan. She'd set up a trap near the port, come back, pelt him with rocks, get him mad and lure to the port and into said trap, girl saved. Well, she managed to set the trap, throw the rocks and separate him and the girl but she vastly under estimated the weight and strength of an Orc. She never met one before, so how would she know that that little rope would snap so easily and that it wasn't able to trip him? Nor would the all the loose logs she released, from the holder near the port in, that, instead of falling and finding his way into the water, he simply just stomped on them? Or the mud and other things she placed in the way didn't get him stuck?

 

Well, none of it worked. She did managed to get him on the dock, though. Luckily for her, he decided against simply killing her outright and opted for the 'put her through a lot of pain and kill her slowly' method, if you can call it lucky. In this case it was, as he was toying with her and beating her into pudding, the area he was standing on gave out and he fell through. Apparently a lot of the boards on the dock were all rotted and haven't been changed out, either because of money concerns or the fact that nobody wanted to it. Sadly, he was too tall and not all of his body was submerged, his upper chest remained out of the water. As he grabbed her legs and he began to drag her in. The girl, Faye, for some reason followed them to the dock and threw to her a shovel. Well, not exactly 'threw' more like labored to lift it higher and managed to 'throw' it a few inches. Well, it didn't matter because it seemed she managed to recruit an older kid who was able to pick up and throw it. IT was more like 'wing' the shovel, frighteningly enough. Luckily the slung shovel did not behead her or cut off a limb or whatever en route to dee, so that was cool. Shovel in hand, she began smashing it into the Orc's head trying to get it to let go. For awhile it didn't seem to be doing anything but finally the orc got dizzy and sank into the water. Given how twisted the shovel came to be and how long the ordeal was, she forgot how drunk the orc was so she found it odd for awhile that a simple shovel smashing would take down a frickin' orc.

 

Long story incredibly short, she managed to topple the orc thanks to some outrageous luck. But she didn't care how and was glad it was over with. However, soon after the victory and checking up on the girls status (despite her own battered body), loud noises were heard from the distance that was closing in on them. Apparently their scuffle was heard and attracted the attention of the other Orcs. Luckily it was night out and they weren't seen. After hauling ass and hiding out in a hiding spot her and the older kid (a boy around her age) knew about, until the nearby Orcs moved on. After a few days, they finally met up with Dee's parents (and a few other survivors), who while furious and upset (and determined to punish Dee but gave up on it when they looked at her condition) and eventually, after returning to Armagh, decided to take care of Faye, and 'raised' her as one of their own. Well, Faye held onto her last name for her own reasons. The whole ordeal with the Orc got Dee to seriously think of her future and with the need to get stronger, decided to become a knight! Well, the process was made shorter when word gotten out over her taking down an orc (thanks to a little someone blabbing about it) and well, she found her way to becoming a knight.

Ok, the Bio was longer than I intended, well, it would've been shorter but.... 3/4s of the post is all about How my character met and made Faye's character her imouto. I left 3 of the 12 skill points blank because I wanted to first make sure with you if I could alter those 12 and add them to increase the level of my other skills. And/or Add a 'Merchant' skill to go along with the fact my family are merchants and such but wanted to know about the point rearranging first before I added it.

 

Also, because it was long, I spoilered most of it to keep it somewhat short. Let me know if its a little much and whether I should include it in my opening post when the time comes for this rp to start.

Biography:

Ahh, Faye. Yes, yes of course I do remember that little girl that got adopted to our House of Dohmnaill around ten or eleven years ago. That girl was really as dirty as a rat when she first entered this mansion. Honestly, I had no idea why the Master agreed to take her in at that time. Though, if you ask me now, I'd say she brought nothing but pride and joy the House. She complimented our young Lady Dee very well.

 

You see, Faye was taken into the house after an incident in the port city of Meath. From what I heard, her entire family were killed by Orc Marauders. Milady Dee saw her being taken away as a loot of war by the orcs, and decided to save her. One thing and another happened and the two of them bonded as if they were real sisters. Upon returning to the mansion, they were almost literally inseparable. Lady Dee simply refuses to leave the dirty rat's side. It was a real headache for us servants at that time.

 

I am not going to even try and hide it, us servants were terribly jealous of her position in the House at first. She was of a lowborn, like the rest of us, but she gained the favor of the Lady, and later on the Master and the Mistress as well. Lord knows how many maids tried to mess with her food and drink, such as adding salt to her tea instead of sugar, or sour cream instead of fresh milk, among other pranks. Girls surprises me with their cruelty at times, I swear.

 

How Faye reacted to it, however, surprises me even more. "I'm sorry to bother you," she would say innocently as she approached the maids that obviously pulled the prank on her. "I know you put a lot of effort on preparing this tea. Unfortunately, I prefer my tea black, for it allows me to enjoy the fragrant leaves you have prepared more. Therefore, may I ask that you leave the sugar and the milk out next time?" she would say, hiding the fact that it would be easy for her to point out that it was salt that they were adding, and therefore giving the maids a chance to save their face in front of Milady Dee.

 

Truly, her heart was that of gold. The name 'Aurelius' that Milady gave her so that she sounds more fitting for a renowned House really mirrored her personality. Never once did I hear or see her wishing ill to those who pulled pranks on her. I asked her this once, "Why would you not resent those who hate you? Nobody would ever blame you even if you do," and guess how did she answer me?

 

"I do believe that it is natural to envy others' fortune, and to gloat over others' misfortune. I would probably hate myself too, if I were in the maids' position. What would be the point? Will they treat me nicely if I had hated them?" was her answer.

 

"But don't you ever feel bitter about what they did? Are you not mad that they're trying to make your life miserable?" I then demanded, half-frustrated by the girl's naivete.

 

"... No. Because I've experienced what true misery is," she then answered, a bitter smile forming in her face.

 

It was then that I realized. Even now the girl still misses her dead families. Even after the years of living in luxury, she had not forgotten the tragedy that befalls her that day. That is why she desperately clings to her original last name, despite being offered a proper place in the House of Domhnaill on several occasions. That was why Milady Dee could not leave her alone, for she knew that Faye would crumble without her as a pillar of mental support.

 

I do believe that was the first time I accepted her as a Lady worthy of our house. It was then that I truly stopped questioning the Master's decision to adopt the little girl. It was then that I started respecting her, not only as a master to be served, but as a human being. It would not be hard for her to use her tragic past to make people pity her, to be nice to her. Instead, she decided to swallow it all and made it a drive for her to become a better person.

 

So, how is she now? It's been almost a year since she left for the Knight's Academy, hasn't it? Has she graduated yet?

Didn't know my family was rich nor had a mansion or servants but I guess that kind of fits, being merchants and all. xD

 

I was thinking of possibly putting a 'Merchant' skill or maybe a skill that uses fellow merchants as information network, but would that be considered a 2nd class? A merchant and all or just not doable? What about an analyze or observation/investigative mind skill that aids not only in battle but off it?

Name: Ziku Kalil

Bio: Ziku was born in the city of Armagh to a Qing courtesan, and due to the nature of his mother's work, his father could've been one of a number of nobles, both minor or major. The only evidence was that, though Ziku was most definitely a Qing child, he held some Arturi features as well. Ziku was raised with love and care from his mother and her associates, though his mixed heritage gave him some difficulties in his earlier years when forced to interact with the children of his mother's patrons, he never once lamented his lot in life. A loving mother, food on the table, a decent education, Ziku's childhood passed smoothly. Unfortunately it wasn't to last. While his mother was of a fairly high status because of it, her occupation didn't exactly lend itself to a long life and she passed away months into Ziku's 15th birthyear. As though she had planned for death at any time, she left a decent sum of money as well as a decent sum of contacts for Ziku upon her death.

 

While his mother was a kind a generous woman, she was also naive. Of the contacts she left for Ziku, few even gave him the time of day, and only one of them offered Ziku a hand: Domhnall, the Merchant. Not a patron of his mother, but in fact the other way 'round. Mr. Domnhall had apparently sold Ziku's mother a number of things, not the least of which was Ziku's own baby clothes and food. Mr. Domnhall was just about to lead a merchant caravan out of Armagh and, whether out of the goodness in his heart, or to put the kid in debt to him, offered Ziku basic necessities in return for labor. Labor he did, Ziku poured his heart into working for the merchant, carrying heavy merchandise swiftly but with care, couriering messages to other merchants, travelling ahead of the caravan with scouting parties to determine the safest and easiest route into the next town. It was on one of these caravans to the Port city of Meath that a catastrophic tragedy happened. The city was awash in the warm glow of flames and the screams of terror and pain echoed outwards. The caravan came to a halt as Mr. and Mrs. Domnhall began speaking with one of the retreating citizens of Meath, soon discovering that the city was raided by a tribe of Orcs. The caravan guards moved into the city to support the evacuation efforts, with Ziku heading out to follow them when Mr. Domnhall stopped Ziku. Mr. Domnhall's child, Deirdre, was missing. Ziku stopped Mr. Domnhall before the request even left his lips. Mr. Domnhall saved Ziku from a life on the streets, so it was the least that he could do to risk his life in order to ensure the safety of Mr. Domnhall's daughter. Ziku set off into Meath, following the most unconventional path he could think of, and moving as adroitly as possible. He wouldn't be able to save anyone if he was caught by a greenskin.

 

A large group of Orcs nearly discovered Ziku as he dove into an abandoned and damaged crate near the docks, luckily the warehouse and empty crates provided enough cover for him to remain in cover until the group passed. Moving along the docks, Ziku overheard the piercing cries and shrieks of children. Two of them, in fact. Rounding the corner of what appeared to be a dockyard administration building, Ziku was greeted with the sight of an Orc dragging a somewhat familiar red-haired girl towards him. Not far from the administration building, a younger girl attempted to throw a shovel to aid the girl under threat from the Orc, but alas her muscles hadn't developed enough for such a feat to be possible, and the shovel only skittered a few inches forward, which was an admirable result for one so young. The shovel girl panicked and looked around for something else to help, and her eyes met with Ziku as he started sprinting towards her. She didn't even say a word. Her eyes said it all. "Help". Ziku almost fell over as he bent down to pick up the shovel and slung it with all of his might at the girl being pulled by the Orc. The shovel landed near her head, burying itself into the dock. The girl acted quickly and with surprising athleticism as she twisted her body to retrieve the shove, and then bring it about to smash into the Orc. Over and over again, she pummeled the Orc's head until the Orc's strength seemed to fade and his body sank into the water. The girl discarded the twisted shovel, and Ziku led the two girls to his hiding spot in the crates inside of the abandoned warehouse to evade the Orcs who were investigating the noises caused by the fight. 

 

The three managed to escape the town and after a few days of travel on the road managed to meet back up with the convoy. The convoy rejoiced upon seeing Dee was alive, though they weren't pleased that she had wandered off to save the girl. Upon returning to the town of Armagh Ziku was relieved of his job as labor for the convoy, and Ziku decided to try his luck elsewhere. Ziku left the town of Armagh, set to find the thrill and adrenaline he had when searching for the merchant's daughter among the ruins of Meath. Ziku dipped into a bit of everything in his travels, be it the lows of banditry, bounty hunting, and thievery to even a stint as a fairly successful gladiator known for his skill at handling multiple enemies. Of course, in his travels, Ziku always returned to Armagh and visited his mother's grave at least twice a year.

 

Traits:

• It's Kung-Fu Fighting!: +1 Melee combat/+1 Evasion rolls out of combat
• Defiance: Gains a stat bonus the more enemies he faces
• Let's Get Dangerous: The closer he gets to death, the higher his chance of parrying increases (I'm thinking this one should be gated by times a day/week he can do it, unless the GM thinks it's fine without one)
