Backstory: 

 

Apollo comes down from a generation of soldiers that participated in the great war known as Crimson Century. While none of his ancestors are particularly well-known, he grew up much like the soldiers had before him and was raised to fight for the Church. Unfortunately, he never enjoyed the military lifestyle and would much rather spend his time slacking off or sleeping. He also managed to find ways to skip out on practice and hang out with his little sister and two close friends. The four of them would often explore the outskirts of town much to the dismay of the local villagers. 

 

These were probably the happiest moments of Apollo's life -- His most cherished memories. 

 

Apollo's father was never home due to obligations he had with the Church, and his mother had long passed soon after the birth of his little sister. And so his friends had become his family in a way. It was also for this very reason Apollo wanted to spend most of his time with his little sister and friends: Rena and Flynn. These were the people he was closest with and the ones he cared about the most. 

 

His little sister Sera was adorable, bubbly, and very cheerful. There was never a dull moment with her. He also felt incredibly protective of her.

 

Rena is the girl Apollo had fallen in love with. She was gorgeous and carried an air of mystery. Apollo and Flynn had first discovered her lying unconscious among a field of flowers. It was strange. They had no idea who she was or where she had come from. Not to mention her apparel and overall appearance was quite different from what they were used to. Upon waking up her initial reactions were fearful and shy, but she eventually warmed up and was willing to become friends. Sadly, she had no memories of her past other than her name. This prompted Apollo and Flynn to go out and explore with the hopes of discovering her past and learning more about her and who she was. These small adventures usually amounted to nothing, but did allow for the small crew to grow closer.

 

Flynn was Apollo's best friend. He seemed to be better than Apollo at everything except eating (Apollo's stomach is nothing short of a black hole). However, things only appeared this way, as Apollo was incredibly lazy and never gave 100% in anything he did. That isn't to say Apollo didn't enjoy competing with Flynn it's just he would fall short every time. As time went on, Apollo and Flynn eventually grew a strong attraction for Rena after having spent a lot of time with her. Sadly for Apollo, Rena showed more interest in Flynn. Seeing how his best friend usually beat him in everything this was an outcome the silver-haired child wasn't surprised to see.

 

Years later, rumors of an incredibly powerful being began circulating around town. She was dubbed as the Witch of the West and the locals were warned to stay cautious and avoid leaving their houses at night. The Church was very aware of the Witch; however, they couldn't figure out why she had decided to reveal herself now of all times. Apollo's father was alarmed by the news and quickly realized what the Witch was after. His daughter, Sera, was special. She was born with immense aptitude for the Holy Arts -- So much so that many would consider her something close to a god (as blasphemous as it may seem) if she were to ever utilize her powers to its fullest potential. This was bad. Did he mess up in hiding Sera? Was her potential figured out? What happened to the protection placed over his daughter? Millions of questions swirled around his head as he frantically gathered his things. He needed to find Apollo.

 

Unfortunately, he was too late.

 

The Witch of the West appeared right in front of Apollo and his friends just after he had just snuck out of the military academy. Upon seeing the lady, Apollo quickly fell to the ground like a dead man unable to move his body from sheer fear; his body shaking uncontrollably. She whispered something before a black cloudy wave started emanating from her hands. The black magics swiftly swerved and surrounded Apollo's sister, shrouding her in complete darkness. At the sounds of his sister's screams, Apollo mustered up enough strength to stand back up on his feet. Together with Flynn, the two charged straight for the Witch. With a flick of her wrist a dark spear-like object was formed and immediately impaled Flynn right through the chest, causing Apollo to fly back from the shockwave of the attack. His body slammed up against a tree nearly knocking him out of consciousness. Letting out a soft grunt, Apollo slowly rose back to his feet before glancing up at the powerful entity he was up against.

 

Shocked, Apollo noticed he could only see through one eye. His other one was completely inert. He was also surprised to see Rena had taken a different form. Horns protruding from the side of her head with wings sprouting out from her back, his friend looked more like a demon than human. Rena was able to break Sera free from the enemy's grasp, clearing the black cloud that was covering Apollo's sister. Grabbing the little girl, Rena took off leaving the area in the blink of an eye.

 

The enemy had no reaction. She seemed nonchalant towards the events that had just transpired.

 

"Pity... She has already been cursed. The poor girl will die without ever seeing the light of day again."

 

With those imparting words the Witch of the West vanished.

 

Apollo fell to his knees as tears trickled down his eyes. With Flynn lying dead beside him, he had just lost everything he knew and loved. 

 

Now at the age of twenty two, Apollo took time traveling the world searching for his sister and Rena. During his travels he spent most of his time in the East. He chose to stay here mainly due to the Sakura trees that were prevalent in the country. They reminded him of Rena and Sera. He also preferred their way of dressing compared to the West, which caused him to adopt the East's sense of fashion. Most of his time in the East was spent learning the East's style of Holy Arts from a teacher he had encountered early in his travels. He quickly implemented what he learned from his master with the Holy Arts he had been taught from the military academy he never graduated.

 

Apollo was eventually kicked out of the house he was staying at, as his mentor claimed he had no more to teach him. Leaving Apollo with Toto, a talking rabbit, and a battered up shield. With this the young man decided to continue his search for his beloved sister and friend. 

 

He had a lot of questions and zero answers. Hopefully this quest will lead him to the answers he is looking for. Hopefully this quest will bring him vengeance and retribution.

Might be temporary sheet, dunno wtf I'm doing with backstory, but I just typed something up. might edit it. might not give a fuck and just leave it as is. Think it all depends on whether or not I get a better understanding of the setting and whatever through other peoples' sheets p much.

Name: Isaac Bramhill

Backstory: Isaac was born to a family of some minor repute. They were god-fearing men and women, hard-working and ambitious, kind and compassionate to their fellow man. They were also deeply racist, as most people were. To say this unabashed racism had no effect on Isaac would be disingenuous, but he definitely did not inherit his parents' hatred for non-humans. Instead he grew to hate hypocrisy, to hate two-faced individuals, to hate dishonesty, to hate weakness. Given the state Memorium was in, he grew to hate essentially everyone.

 

What Isaac respected was strength and conviction. He feared nothing and no one, and his cocky and brash behavior, combined with an acerbic tongue, gave him a poor reputation within the city. Appalled and embarrassed, his family wanted nothing more to do with him and sent him away. They sent him to the Alchemist's Guild to learn Blood Alchemy. His family in general despised the craft, instead respecting the more noble Holy Arts, and assumed that sending Isaac there would shame him greatly. Isaac however thought practitioners of the Holy Arts were impotent twats, living in a constant masturbatory-induced stupor of self-satisfaction; he enjoyed what was essentially his exile to the Guild.

 

There he studied his craft meticulously and diligently, not being one to do things half-assedly. Not forgetting his own convictions, he also trained his body, as he would not be one of the innumerable weaklings that littered the city. With his intelligence, dedication, and strength of arm, Isaac intended to carve out his own niche in Memorium, one where he's not bound to the traditions or conventions of his predecessors.

Backstory: At an early age Sarah found herself in the company of the Crusaders. It started when she'd met a small group of them that would do general Crusader-y things together. She was some random street orphan who had a habit of getting into trouble. They had a habit of catching her every time she did something. She came to like the group after seeing them take down a criminal. They did some kind of magic. And Holy lights. And something. Or whatever. She didn't really understand. But it was really cool. She thought they were the bees knees. The doggies wotsits. The coolest thing since ever. So she started following them on patrol, hoping for another show.

After a while of following them around she decided that just watching the action wasn't good enough. She wanted to be able to do magic stuff too. She wanted to be an awesome Crusader like those guys. So she went and found the Crusaders barracks and signed up. And like that her new found dream was coming true. They taught her to fight. They taught her about the Holy Arts. They taught her to read and write and, well, pretty much everything she knows. And that's a lot. Because Crusaders are super cool and Holy, and smart as hell. And everyone else sucks.

Holy Crusader [50] ~ By channeling the awe inspiring Holy powers of a Crusader, Sarah becomes imbued with pure greatness. She seems to glow faintly with Holy mojo and gains a buff to her strength. It's supposed to be for punching bad guys, but it works just as well on nerds and people who are generally not Crusaders.
 
Inventory: Sarah only has three things that she carries with her. And that because she only needs three things.

• Her lovingly crafted and maintained Crusader sword.
• Her other lovingly crafted and maintained Crusader sword.
• Her heart full of hatred for anyone that isn't and doesn't want to be a Crusader. Especially those dirty blood alchemy nerds.

Backstory: The short of it?  I'm ridiculously awesome.  I'm just a great vampire of noble lineage, ya know?  Not high enough up to get burdened with all the responsibility but high enough to live the easy life if you know what I mean.  Honestly, I'm just an incredible asset to my family.  I mean have you seen me?  I'm just the best looking guy around but that's not all either.  Everyone tells me how nice I am and how in touch with my sensitive side I am.  Don't think that doesn't mean that I won't beat you up though because I totally can still do that.  

 

Rather not though.  Getting in brawls just isn't me.  Have you seen what happens in those things?  Even the winners walk away looking like they've kissed the wrong side of a mallet.  So me, I much rather avoid that noise.  I sneak about the city where ever I please to go because I can.  I know how to reach places most don't know about and just sit there and watch the clouds go by.  Also I like the watch humans.  They're just so damn amusing, ya know?  My family is just so set in there ways.  They think they got it all figured out and maybe they do but hell if I know what with all the secrets they go about keeping.  Not exactly an environment to foster a healthy dose of curiosity.  

 

Have you seen humans though?  They are just so weak that you got to pity them.  Like, sometimes I watch them struggling and I just wonder what in the world they are doing it for but I figured after a while that maybe they aren't so weak.  I mean they are but also not?  I don't know.  It's weird.  I creep about watching them and they just come up with the dumbest solutions and yet sometimes they work despite themselves.  It's stupid luck.  Is that a strength? Blind luck?  Guess what I'm saying is I just wish sometimes we tried out more things or at least shared with each other what we are doing.  You know the saying, "left hand does not know what the right is doing".  That about sums it up.

 

Eh?  What do I think Lycans?  Pfft.  Not much.  I mean have you seen where they live?  Caves.  Freaking caves man.  I don't even try to go there because why would I?  What's there to look at?  Bunch of animals picking the fleas off each others back? Na, I kid.  Kind of.  I mean they are alright sometimes but I don't know.  I just don't really get them at all.

• Eagle Eye (Transformation) [10] - Luka is able to enhance his vision to an incredible degree.  He can see far further than most and in greater detail.  He can also alter the vision so that he can alter how he sees so that he can view thermally or in the dark.
• Spider Grip (Transformation) [20] -  Luka is able to grip just about any surface and move along it as quick as his body will let him.  It's a helpful transformation that's helped a whole lot with his exploration of the city.
• Trick of the Mind (Domination) [10] - The ability to make lesser minds see a flicker of movement from out of the corner of their eye or a sound just out of their field of sight.

Name: Nóra

Race: Lycanthrope

Age: 24

Sex: Female

 

Backstory:

Nora was born to a pair of Lycans of minor standing, to a tribe outside of Memorium, she has a sister around her age. She was a bit different than most of the children in her tribe, In the way that she was stronger than not only the other girls in her tribe but a number of the guys. With her strength, she'd frequently best them in tests of strength (combat) and on hunts. Though, what set her apart wasn't what she was capable of....It was more like what she wasn't capable of. To be more precise, it was what distanced herself from the others.

 

The fact was, she wasn't very friendly, not to mention violent, while also keeping to herself most of the time. Nora would often enough pick fights with the others. She wasn't big on talking but when she did, most of the time it would be a rude and harsh comment that would, more often than not, lead to a fight. Which Nora didn't mind, she did love to fight after all. When it came time for the tribe to hunt, she'd often refuse help, preferring to do things alone. Actions like these would lead the others to believe that she was arrogant and difficult to be around, not really someone to associate with. While she got along fine with the older members of the tribe (and her family), the kids of the tribe took to avoiding her.

 

While some might have a problem with getting shunned like that, Nora really didn't give a shit. Her opinion of them was already mighty low, so it's not like she was missing anything. It was actually a blessing for her, since she wouldn't have to interact with any of them unless forced by the elders. Though, after a few years the attitude of the youth of the tribe grew tiresome, as did her opinion of the village. Her boredom and irritating reached a boiling point when one of the wolves had enough with her attitude and thought it was to 'teach her a lesson'. It didn't take him long to realize he fucked up and made a big mistake.Nora didn't ease up and ended up getting carried away and nearly beat him to death.

 

While not one to run away, she thought now was the right time to leave this crappy village. It was a good enough excuse and came with good timing. She'd quickly say her goodbyes to her sister and parents, much to their displeasure, and made her leave. Yada yada yada, she met someone who was on their way to Memorium and 'hitched' a ride. So there you have it. The last bit may or may not be true and could be a bunch of bullshit but who cares! Nora sure doesn't. Anyways, years passed, things change, and on with the story.

• A pair of twin daggers, adorned with a green jewel in the hilt. Has lightening like mark engraved on both sides of each blade. They were her family's heirloom
• Black cloak, all erry and shit. Ok, just a black cloak she took a liking to when out shopping. Helps hide her shit. Whooosh.
